5sos michael clifford; imagine the wedding
The wedding …:) Michael clifford
Your pov; I stared in disbelief at the reflection of myself in the mirror. There I was. On my wedding day. Wearing my white dress, my something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. I looked out the window and looked at the beautiful green English countryside. The soft hills in the background dotted with sheep formed a beautiful horizon in the distance. I looked up into the beautiful blue, clear sky and took a deep breath. There was a knock on the door and my 2 bridesmaids and father proceeded to walk in. I looked at my dad. It looked like he was about to cry.
"Sweetheart, you look amazing. Michael won’t be able to take his eyes off you." He said to me as we exchanged a long hug. My 2 best friends, looking absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous in their pale pink bridesmaids dresses, started to exit out the door.
"You ready?" My father asked as we linked arms and started to walk out into corridor of the ancient castle we had rented. I was so excited and nervous that I couldn’t speak so I nodded my head enthusiastically and smiled.
We stopped at the top of the grand staircase and waited for the bridesmaids to get to the garden ceremony. We started our trip down the stairs. This is it. My last steps as an unmarried woman. My hands began to tremble and I just wanted to be with Michael. I feel calm when I’m around him. I needed that calm feeling now. I clutched my dad’s arm as hard as i could as we walked out of the French folding doors and into the garden.
It was beautiful. The aisle splashed with pink and red rose petals to guide my way. There was only one thing I wanted to see and one thing I could see. Michael. At the end of the aisle in a dark grey suit with a pale pink rose in the jacket to match my bouquet. He looked simply amazing. His huge smile beaming down at me and his eyes following me as I came towards him. I have never seen him so happy.
"I’ll always be your little girl." I reassured my dad as he began to let me go and hand me over to Michael and I took the hand of my new life. We went to our positions and faced each other.
"You look absolutely incredible" He whispered to me.
His big, bright sapphire eyes were fixated on me. I had never seen him smile a smile so big and he tightened his grip on my hands.
I looked at our guests. My family. His family. Together. Our nearest and dearest friends sitting in the white pews with pink ribbons tied into a bow on the ends. All there to witness the best day of our lives. I saw Luke, Michael’s best man, and the rest of the guys standing behind him smiling their gorgeous smiles back at me as they were all groomsmen. The sun was shining from just the right angle giving this Spring day a comfortable warmth to it.
The priest seated our guests and I turned back to face Michael who seemed to have not once taken his eyes off me. We said our vows and when it came to ‘I do’ Michaels eyes teared up and he said the words with such passion. The part I had been waiting for. The part I had been dreaming about since I can remember was finally coming true.
"You are now husband and wife," Michael’s smile widened even more and tears came falling from his eyes, “you may now kiss the bride." Michael grabbed me by the waist and kissed me. Slowly and tenderly. I put my arms around his neck and he gave me a long tight hug. We pulled away from each other and looked at our cheering and clapping friends and family. We held hands and took our first steps as Mr and Mrs Clifford.
As we walked down the aisle we were showered with confetti. I looked at the smiling faces of our friends and family and back up at my gorgeous husband. I felt like I was in a fairytale. Micheal, me, the bridesmaids and the groomsmen all went out in front of the enormous sandstone castle to get photos taken. Of course, something that should have taken about an hour took 10 times longer. Ashton kept poking Michael.callum kept laughing. The boys all mucking around with each other. I wouldn’t have it any other way, though.
The sun was now beginning to set and we made our way back to the reception. The decorators did an incredible job. The garden looked amazing. Fairy lights hung above and rose petals sprinkled the tables. Gold candles were sat in the centre of each table. We were all called in. When it got to Luke and my best friend Kim, Luke of course was his crazy self. Skipping into the room arms linked with my maid of honour and gave her a twirl at the end. Everyone was laughing and clapping and I could feel the excitement building up in my body.
"You ready, Mrs Clifford" Michael asked me grinning.
"Sure am, Mr Clifford." I replied, returning the smile.
"Please welcome into the room, Mr and Mrs Clifford!"The DJ announced. We walked into the cheering garden and Michael covered my face in kisses when we got to our table.
"Have I told you how stunning you look tonight?" He asked cheekily.
I laughed, “You look pretty amazing yourself!". How could I be so lucky?
We ate dinner and I decided to go and say hello to everyone. I made my way around the tables talking to all our guests. I was bombarded with compliments and congratulations and hugs and kisses. Michaels mum, welcomed me into the family. Telling me how lucky she is to have me as a daughter-in-law and told me how much she hopes me and Michaela happy future.
I went to go talk to the boys who were mucking around on the dance floor. They’re still as silly as ever. I had a little chat and dance with them before turning to go back to the table.
I heard Luke call after me.
"Yeah, Luke?"
"I just want to tell you, one, you look absolutely amazing! And two, how much Michael adores you. When we were getting ready, you were all he could talk about. I know that’s understandable, its his wedding day, but he just loves you so much. You can see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice. Ever since he met you he hasn’t shut up about you. I’ve never seen him so happy before the day he met you."
I was tearing up. “Thanks, Lukey. That means a lot." We exchanged a long hug.
"Now, get out here with your HUSBAND and dance!!" He ordered me.
"Michael ? Dancing? HA." I Thought .I gestured Michael to come out to me and we danced around with the boys and the bridesmaids.
"Could the bride and groom please take to the floor, we will now be having the bridal waltz." Announced the DJ, and Michael and I looked at each other as the dance floor became empty, leaving us in the middle.
We finished our waltz and sat back down. The speeches began. Michael was the first one to say his.
"This is going to sound so cheesy, but it just exactly how I feel. From the moment I met you, everything changed I knew I had to get you, whatever the pain. See, I told you it was cheesy. But every word is true. The second I saw you, there was something that was different. There was a sparkle in your eye I had never seen before and I think my heart actually jumped a beat. Chasing you down in the streets of London was one of the best decisions I ever made. I don’t know why I let you walk off after getting the photo anyway, but I did. My life is complete with you. Knowing that you’re mine honestly makes me the happiest man in the world. You are simply amazing,"
I was now crying and I could see the tears running down Michael’s cheeks too.
He continued, “I’m not going to go on forever, even though I could. I just want to say I love you and can’t imagine life with without you." He started to walk off but stopped, gave a cheeky smile and laugh, and added, “Um, so basically… we just get on really well." And he gave me a wink. Oh MR Clifford only you would say something like that on your wedding day.
gave my speech and tried to keep it short and simple. I’m not the type to give long speeches. And the boys and my bridesmaids went after me. There were laughs and tears throughout their speeches. Luke and my kims especially. Afterwards, we continued dancing until the night ended and the last few guests began to leave. We thanked them for coming and started making our way to our suite in the castle. ——————————————————————————------------------
