New York Part 2! The City! I stayed with my girl Anais and she took me to so many cool restaurants and cafes. On my own time, I wandered up and down the river, (did some Pokemon Go-ing,) and checked out Governors Island.
Some things I saw on my wanderings: Jazz in the park, Predator & Alien statue, the Irish Hunger Memorial, secret waterfall (obv.), a castle and a fort, about a million secret churches, Lady Liberty from Governors Island, and a cool rock path.
NYC was awesome, but HOT. I love to visit, but I couldn’t live there. Too much of a suburbs girl. And by now I’ve done most of the major touristy things.

In a surprise announcement, the project to restore three lost World War I memorials on Governors Island were named national war memorials by a group of U.S. historians and veterans organizations. Governors Island joins 99 other sites across the U.S. to be chosen for national designation this month.
