Walter, a three-year-old Maltese, stares back at the camera lens clicking away at him.
Karen Cochran, 63, of Tampa, Fla., sits on the bench outside of Castillo de San Marcos with her three Maltese, Rocky, Walter and Wilson. Cochran is waiting outside the fort for her husband and grandchildren who are touring the fort while on a family trip. Many of the locations in St Augustine are family friendly and is a great way for families to bond. Some also come to visit families who live in the county or college-aged children who attend Flagler college. One of Cochran’s grandchild currently attends Flagler college as a sophomore.
