Western Marine Shipyard (WMS) gets approval for IPO – wms.com.bd. The Securities regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) on Tuesday, 3rd June approved an IPO of Western Marine Shipyard (WMS) Limited to go for public worth Tk 157 crore 57 lacks to float 4.50 crore shares at offer value at Tk 35/- including 25 taka as premium.
The decision was taken at a 519th regular meeting of the commission chaired by its chairman Mr. Khairul Hossain.
The Western Marine Shipyard (WMS) company will use the IPO fund to meet up its IPO expenses, infrastructure improvement and to repaying term loan and expenses of the IPO.
As per the company’s financial statements ended on December 31, 2013, the earning per share (EPS) was 3.87/- with net asset value (NAV) of 40.27/- per share.
Prime Finance Capital Management Limited, ICB Capital Management Ltd and EC Securities Ltd will acts as the issue manger of the company’s IPO.

The Securities regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) on Tuesday, 6th May, 2014 approved an IPO of Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills (RSRM) to go for public worth Tk 100 cores to float 2.50 crore shares at offer value at Tk 40/- with 30/- premium.
The decision was taken at a regular meeting of the commission.
The company will raise the fund to boost its capital base, repay bank loans and bear the expenses of the IPO proceedings. Considering the weighted average of the last five years ending on June 30, 2013, the company’s consolidated earnings per share stands at Tk 4.58 and the net asset value is Tk 53.69.
Janata Capital and Investment, and Trust Bank Investment will manage the issue for RSRM.

The Bangladesh Securities Exchange Commission (BSEC) has been approved a IPO proposal of Saif Powertec Ltd which will raise a fund worth Tk 360 million by offloading 12 million ordinary shares.
The approval decission came Tuesday, 15th April, 2014 at a commission meeting held at the BSEC office.
Saif Powertec Ltd will offload 12 million ordinary shares at an offer price of 30/- (including a premium of 20/-) per share by fixed price method.
The fund which will be raised through the IPO will be used to set up a new project for manufacturing battery and to meet the expenses of IPO process.
The company’s Earning Per Share (EPS)=3.01/-, and the Net Asset Value (NAV)=24.29/- as per latest financial statement which was ended on on June 30, 2013.
The ICB Capital Management will act as a issue manager of the Saif Powertec Ltd IPO.

Surid Industries will raise Tk 140 million with each of its shares being priced at ten taka each. It has not demanded any premium price on its shares.
