Right panel: Sydney Lanier Bridge across the Brunswick River, named Rivière de Loire by Ribault. Lanier was a southern poet, musician, composer after having fought during the Civil War. His ancestors were of French Huguenot origine that migrated to England after the 1550’s wars of religion.
