Getting ready for work this morning and I can really identify with that poor fourth grade teacher getting flack for “dressing too sexy” for her job. Having a curvy body just makes clothes look different. It doesn’t mean you have permission to slut-shame somebody. I’ve heard everything from, “Who are YOU trying to impress?” to “Are you trying to find a husband?” in reference to my work clothes. Not only is that insulting to me, it is insulting to my body because it exists for reasons outside of sex. If you think I’m dressed inappropriately for work, that’s YOUR problem. Your mind is inappropriate, not my body.
