The ball was going really well so far, Aziz hoped that it was going to stay that way. He didn’t want the VK’s to feel anything less than welcomed.
Upon spotting Hala a few meters away from him, he remembered that his parents had wanted to meet her and so he waved at the girl, motioning for her to come there. He was a bit nervous about this, he had to admit that Hala didn’t have the best reputation in his family, but neither did Jay in his first days at Auradon Prep. The cause wasn’t lost.
His parents were waiting beside him.
“She seems like a lovely girl,” Aladdin noted. “The rumours are probably unjustified.”
“I suppose we’re about to see,” Jasmine commented, always a bit more wary.
“I hope you’re right, dad,” Aziz mumbled, more to himself than to his parents.
