I started this project to help those in the Foster Care System and those about to age out. I wanted to help build up people to be confident in who they are and what they are doing in life. My girlfriend sent me this link, and made me watch it with her while she was on the end of the phone watching it in her own home. I of course cried and then decided to put it up on my page. I loved how this video, though it is different and shows a reversed world, shows the struggle. For it is not just about Homosexuals and the bullying and self hatred being reversed onto those that are heterosexual to see, but for people to realize there is bullying, there is self hatred and it leads to a nation of people hurting and vanishing to escape the world of hurt.
This video made me think. First about my own story and those of others I have heard but also about what would happen if those that aren't outcast were put into that group to be. It made me think, YES we are different, Not just homosexuals, but people period. We are all different. Some of us are outcast because of who we love, how we look, or even our family conditions. But does that make it right for us to be bullied. For us to self hate or be the bully. We need to stop the bullying, stand up and not be afraid. We cant be afraid of who we are and what our situation might be. We cant think about what others might think, we have way too little time and way too much to live for and those that look down on us for any reason at all, just don't know what it is like to walk in our shoes. The probably wont ever understand and our job isn't to beat it into their heads. Yes we can educate but that is quick and so we can get back to our lives and walking in our shoes. We know what it is like to be us. And we know how to get through it, together or alone, we make it.
