Foster highlight #fosterhighlighting Posted @withrepost • @northcentralshelter Thanks to a foster family, 5 year old Sisco, was able to take a break from the shelter in a home...And he would very much like to STAY OUT for good! Read what his foster shared below about this AMAZING boy & MESSAGE US or email his foster [email protected] before Friday (when they need to return him to the shelter) to meet him! 🐶 Sisco is such a wonderful cuddlebug with a goofy, loving personality who immediately made himself at home. Sisco loves to shower you with kisses and quietly follow you around the house just to be near you. He’s potty-trained and been a perfect gentleman with no accidents in the house or destructive chewing. He has an ideal flexible energy; up for hikes and long walks, but also loves curling up on the couch next to you for pets and bellyrubs. He loves to play fetch and if there is a kiddy pool he’ll dive right in! Sisco is smart, treat-motivated, and eager to please, and he already knows a bunch of commands - “no,” “leave it,” “sit” and “lay down,” and is working on “drop it.” He’s a beefy boy and can pull on the leash, but simply changing to a harness with a front clip has done wonders. Sisco does great in the car, either sticking his head out the window or quietly napping. He’s friendly and loves people in general, but favors his handler. Unknown if he’s sociable with children; but I would expect so, though his high energy may pair better with older children. He has not met any cats, but has not shown predatory behavior towards squirrels or birds. He rarely barks in the house and is non-reactive to loud noises; overall, he does not seem easily rattled. Sisco is such a happy, easy-going, resilient spirit, he would make a welcome addition to any size family that is ready to shower him with love!💜 . Thanks to a #4days4life (or longer!) foster, this PRECIOUS girl was able to spend a month in a foster home where we were able to learn more about her and help find her perfect fit for a forever home! Read what her foster shared below, and MESSAGE US or visit the shelter to meet her. 💘 . “Precious is the sweetest girl who loves being cuddled and pet. She was anxious and excitable when I first took her home, but after a few days of decompressing from the shelter her personality really started to shine. With someone who can provide structure and discipline like I did, she picks up on leash manners fast. When we went on our walks she made tremendous progress and walked right by my side. When she pulls the leash, I corrected her and she got right back in line. She has the perfect flexible energy. She will happily be out all day long and go on hikes, etc., but can easily lounge around all day too. In fact, her favorite thing to do is curl up on the couch. She's the best snuggler and cuddle buddy! She is house-trained. She does all her business outside and even waits by the door when she needs to go. On our daily walks, she has been non-reactive to other dogs and children. We haven’t been around cats. She is a VERY sweet and loving dog, and super smart. In all, she needs a home with structure and someone who can be consistent with her training and give her all the love she needs!” . Precious the adorable marshmallow is a perfect medium-energy friend, who, at seven years old and just 45 lbs, deserves a life where she can be loved and appreciated.
