Anthony Green, Good Old War, and Found Wild at the Shelter 07.07.18

This past Saturday Anthony Green the front-man of Circa Survive and Saosin brought his solo project to Detroit. Originally scheduled for a St Andrews Hall show, the event was moved downstairs to the Shelter for a more intimate performance. Anthony is touring with Found Wild and Good Old War. Found Wild played an all-acoustic duo set and at one point Anthony himself came out and played tambourine behind the drum kit. The wonderful thing about this tour is I believe they were all in one van, not 100% on that. Tim and Keith of Found Wild are also 2/3rds of Good Old War. Good Old War's name is derived from the last names of the members, Keith Goodwin, Tim Arnold, and Dan Schwartz. Clever. Their set got the entire crowd dancing through their set which included another guest appearance by Anthony before laying a kiss on Dan.

This led into Anthony's headlining set was a celebration of the 10 Year Anniversary of his record Avalon but also the new release of his album Would You Still Be In Love? back on June 1st. Even though Anthony was playing a lot of acoustic songs, people in the crowd were feeling it and bouncing around, pushing each other, almost in the vein of a small Circa Survive show from way back. Anthony mentioned that on the Avalon tour back in 2008, they actually played at The Shelter too. Wild. Check out the photos from the show and give the bands a follow.
