✈️ AIRPLANE — does your oc like traveling, or do they consider themselves a more homey person?
Oh, no, absolutely not. Given the option, they would be perfectly content to remain within the Link for the majority of if not basically all of their existence. But needs must. They were deemed patient and old enough to handle Odo's nonesense, and in the interest of the child (Odo) and the Link as a whole, they went, and they endure the annoyances of travel and the discomfort of separation from the Link with grace most of the time, because they deem it necessary to do so.
🤍 WHITE HEART — what are three of your oc's neutral/questionable traits?
The Founder has a tendency to forget that solids have needs/feelings/wants/etc. For example, Rivan will often be left on the floor or not offered a seat or whatever because he's serving his function and that's just how Vorta are. It's not malicious, but they're so very old and so very separated from the realities of life as a solid, that things just don't occur to them.
They support the Dominion without question, doubt, or wavering and will not accept anything that indicates anything but the inherent superiority of Founders and the Dominion. It's frustrating for anyone else, but they are generally polite about it, and those sort of blind spots aren't exactly uncommon in most species.
The Founder tends to assume all solids are alike and exist almost purely to promote unnecessary entropy. This assumption can be argued against to some extent, but they definitely become exasperated with the constant chaos of solid life.
💯 HUNDRED POINTS SYMBOL — share three random facts about your oc that others may not know.
This is more of a headcanon I have about Founders at large which becomes by default a fact about The Founder, but they are always the same temperature as the air/other medium directly surrounding them.
Related to that, the temperature they prefer to be is quite cold.
The Founder enjoys a great deal of people-watching. Just watching solids interact with each other can be exhausting and frustrating, but it's not boring, and they enjoy that.
💘 HEART WITH ARROW — what and/or who do(es) your oc consider the most important to them?
The wellbeing of the Link is always their priority. Past that, Odo has been named their responsibility, so he is important to them as well. They're unlikely to admit to it, but by the time Rivan had been around for a week or so, they also give a great amount of attention to his needs, safety, and comfort.
🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?
The Founder tends to favor forms that show advanced age and ambiguous gender markers relative to the species they choose. When they're hanging out on DS9 with Odo pretty soon post-canon, they do so in the form of an elderly Bajoran person. When they choose other forms, they tend not to be forms that fly or are weightless. The Founder doesn't enjoy speaking aloud. They certainly can, but when they do, it is only in Dominion standard languages (most often ceremonial) and they keep their thoughts fairly direct. Their preference is for direct telepathy, which involves less language and more sharing of abstract thoughts, feelings, and images. They have a particular dislike of Federation translation devices and will often use Rivan as a translator when that's practical.
