First fire on the foundry furnace to cure the refractory cement. Will identify and patch any cracks tomorrow, begin cementing the lid, and work on sealing that burner inlet.

One step closer on the furnace, and I still have half of my refractory mortar in case it needs a second coat. I *should* be able to run my first low temp quick fire this weekend to see how much spalting occurs. I'll give it a few days to cure first.
Probably should have taken more photos during the build, but here is the current progress as of just now
Rigidizer (sodium silicate) applied to all insulation and as a glue inside the lid. Now to let it dry while I wait on some refractory mortar
So this was a solid 45 minutes of total suck. Would not recommend
Starting on a foundry furnace. I have the crucible so now I have a size guideline to build out from, starting with the base!
