Everything is an experiment at some point--let’s try four minutes of writing a day. I tried to write a twelve sentence novel and failed. I didn’t have a conclusion, the character started broken but could only comfort herself with bacon and heliocentricism. I am not good at solving characters’ problems. Remember when you were a child and everything was so clear and easy and all you had to do was tell the truth and not hurt anyone and now its impossible to do both. I tried to write a four minute exercise and didn’t notice what time I started. Let’s say its been three minutes. What if we milked goats everyday, would we be better somehow--would we reach some sort of human understanding only known to those mythical milk maids in stories? Some sort of Walden utopia, but funnier, because of the goats. Laughter and purity and milk all day long.
