Blaque Album / Single covers, the range 😮‍💨💖

A lot of late 90s/early 2000s girlbands were really good at doing this thing of having creative, visually pleasing artwork for music that was as smooth as jazz — although Blaque’s music spanned genres including RnB, rap and pop. Thinking about how the audio-visual combination allows the artist to create a world of their own and invite others into it, especially with physical media like CDs and vinyl, it’s like having a piece of their universe, in yours. It’s like, “These are the people in this world, this is how they dress, and this is how they express!”

Blaque’s fun fashion, playful beauty looks and futuristic graphics combined with their diverse discography really creates an eclectic world full of intrigue.

There’s so many examples artists creating mini worlds through cool covers + good music, looking forward to exploring this more!

We all know how iconic Serena William’s is, but let’s talk about how fly she was when eating the girls up on the court. Fashion and tennis have been closely linked for a long time, but Serena Williams’ on-court style inspired more players to combine functionality with fashion in unexpected ways.

Despite the norms of what was expected of her in her industry, she focused on being her Self whilst training hard and playing well. Very much, “yes, I can do both!” — Displaying a healthy amount of Self confidence. I mean, she won 39 major titles and 367 matches in her entire career, it only makes sense that she served winning looks whilst serving ;~)
