today in class we had to define a list of phobias and so naturally we got off track and started talking about phobias not on the list and then we started quizzing each other on them because why not

and so this one girl asked "what's homophobia? the irrational fear or hatred of gay people." for some reason this pissed off this really conservative guy and he got all huffy and said "what's heterophobia?" and just as he was about to give us the definition, I cut him off by saying "fiction."

There's a girl in my fourth block class who said that allowing same sex couples to marry will lead to bestiality and when I told her that was a really ignorant thing to say, some other kid said it was really rude of me to call her ignorant and my teacher made me apologize
