CSRT Fourth Check-In: February 1st

Attention Captain Swan Rewrite-a-Thon Authors!

January was very long in many ways, but in one way it was very short: Today is the next check-in!

Send us an email that includes your username and “check-in 4″ in the subject line, along with a link to your story’s Google doc. Please remember to set the share setting to “anyone with the link can edit.”

And as with the previous check-ins, let us know how things are going! How are you and your beta-reader(s) doing? Where are you in the rewriting process, and what else is to come with it? How are you feeling as the event grows to a close and is there anything we can do to help you out on the last leg of the journey?

We forgot to remind y’all about this, so if you’re a few days behind, or you can’t fire off your email today, that’s okay! Try to get it to us within the next few days.

Fourth Check-In Reminder!

Attention all CSBB participants!

This is a reminder that the 4th Check-In is coming up on July 15th!

Authors: For this check-in, your draft should be 95-100% complete! There’s a little leeway here (hence the 95% minimum), but you should be done or within 1-2 days of being done. Essentially, we expect to open our inbox on July 16th to find it filled with complete drafts. We will also need to know your expected chapter number (it’s okay if this number ends up being slightly off, but we need an estimate).

Artists: Your check-in is also July 15th! For this check in, we just need to see some sign that you’re hard at work. This could mean sending in sketches or line art, a screenshot of images you’re working with, clips of videos you intend to use, or a handful of gifs. Essentially, we just need you to confirm that you’ve begun to make artwork, so that in one month, you’re not scrambling to finish. Feel free to contact us if you’re not sure what to send.

Beta-readers: Get ready to beta-read like a champ! Between July 15th and August 15th, it’s time to edit and revise all of these amazing stories so that they’re ready to go for posting! Please get in touch with us if you haven’t received a finished draft from your author, or you can’t get in touch with them.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, either here (sending an ask to the main account, or an ask or message to a moderator), through email, or over in the #ask-the-mods channel on Discord! CSBB Authors: EXTENSION

ATTENTION CSBB AUTHORS:

We know that many of you are unbelievably stressed over the fourth check-in tomorrow, especially since a lot of you could easily finish off your drafts if you had another week or so. Given the number of people who are in distress right now, we’ve decided that it’s in everyone’s best interests to extend the check-in deadline.

The fourth check-in for CSBB authors has been extended, and is now Saturday July 22nd. If you do not need the extension, or finish before the 22nd, please send it in earlier.

This is just for authors. Artists, your check-in is still tomorrow unless we’ve spoken to you personally.

Your stories should be 95-100% finished! When you send it in, please make sure to include your URL in the subject line, and an estimated chapter count somewhere in the body of the email. Additionally, please send your entire draft, and not simply the latest chapters.

We’re so excited to be reaching the final stretch of the CSBB so we can celebrate your incredible efforts!

If you are already done with your draft, or you finish before Saturday, please go ahead and send it in when it’s done!

Now that the 4th check-in has been extended, will the date for final submission also be set back a week, or will it continue to be Aug 15th?

The final submission date is still August 15th. The trade-off with the extension is that you will have one less week to revise your stories.
