Emotional Intelligence
According to Daniel Goleman, Emotional intelligence is the ability to motivate oneself and persist in the face of frustrations, to control impulse and delay gratification and etc. Basically, what it meant is that being or having emotional intelligence allows you to balance and control your emotions which gives better result not just to yourself but also to how you treat with others.
There are 5 domains of emotional intelligence which all contributes to the well being of a person. These are self-awareness, manage emotions, motivating oneself, recognizing emotions and handling relationships. These domains must be learned and people must be aware of them because these are important factors that contributes to oneself and also allows you to have better relationship with other people.
In this lesson, I realized that being emotionally intelligent is so important because having the ability to control and become aware of your emotions can directly affect your physical and mental health, work/school performances and relationships. That's why it is important to take good care of ones emotions and learn how to recognize their feelings for that is something that everyone must realize that it is important to have a good, balanced and be emotionally intelligent.
