fox executives really out here cancelling every single one of their popular shows
Literally every culture critic and professional internet nerd I follow on Twitter is cursing Fox and mourning the loss of Brooklyn Nine-Nine (also The Mick, in some cases).
Fox is trash.

Fox is getting out of the programming business anyway - with a sale of its entertainment division to Comcast or Disney imminent - and they don't own the rights to Brooklyn Nine-Nine (which is expensive to make) so of course they canceled it. The bottom line wins every time. It's why we can't have nice things.
