Following up from his video "E(ART)H" released back in March, artist Spek Won is set to premier a new music video for "Black Body" ft. Shi Wisdom; the third video, and first single off of his debut album "Sofa King Amazing." "The song Black Body was conceptualized by Shi and I while in Jamaica during the week of the devastating murder of Mike Brown. We felt that it was our duty as blackmusicians to speak out against the tyranny of racism and violence against our people. We, along with our gifted friend and director Mark Valino, were fortunate to be awarded a grant by MuchFact, which helped bring the song into visual fruition. After a year of recording and touring internationally, arguably one of Toronto's finest finally concludes the creation of his debate album. The dedicated song writer, producer, and emcee/crooner Spek Won raises the bar with his socially conscious yet soulful music scrapbook SOFA KING AMAZING.

The 12 song LP subsumes collaborative efforts of top tier song writers such as Shi Wisdom, Ian Kamau, Slakah The Beatchild, Lord Quest, and bizZarh to name a few. The album structure is cleverly divided in to two segments, Hawk Side and Fox Side. The Hawk Side, orchestrated by alter ego Marty McFligh, hits nostalgic sweet spots with jazzy riffs and hard hitting drums that are reminiscent of classic Pete Rock and J Dilla cuts, while the Fox Side boasts bass heavy 808s with ambient synths championed by alter ego Fox Howard. With such a thoroughly planned out and executed body of work, listeners can expect to be charmed and provoked at the least.
