It was getting rather late, but Mizuiro promised his boyfriends, Kurobon and Midoribon he would watch a movie before getting ready for bed. He was taking care of business in the washroom, making sure he's looking his best, he's not even going out, but even in the comfort of his own home, he has to look proper. He was just about finished straightening his bowtie when started to hear his boyfriends arguing from the living room.
He sighed. "What are they arguing about this time..?" Midori and Kuro always seem argue over the most trivial of things, and Mizuiro often has to be the one to put a stop to it.
He left the washroom and made his way down to the living room, once he made it there, he found the reason why they were fighting: what movie to watch, of course...
"I'm telling you, we're watching this one!" Midori yelled as he holds up a movie of the action genre.
"Midoribon, we watched your pick last time. I rather watch something more around my taste." Kuro says as he holds up a Batbon movie.
"We watched a Batbon movie last time it was your pick!" Midori argued.
Mizuiro sighs audibly, catching the fighting biidamans' attention. "Must you both fight over the most petty of things?"
"Mizu! Please convince Kuro to watch my movie choice!" Midori urged.
"Midoribon, it was your turn last time." Kuro stated.
"Kuro's right, Midori, you picked last time." Mizuiro told him.
Midori made a pouty face over Mizuiro siding with Kuro, and Kuro smirked, until Mizuiro said this next thing. "Since you two won't stop fighting like children, I'm picking the movie."
"Hmm?" "But-" Kuro and Midori try to argue, but Mizuiro interjected before they could say more. "No buts. Besides, it's my turn anyway. Had you both acted like civil adults and not like toddlers fighting over a toy, I might've picked one of your movie choices."
Midori and Kuro both blushed and looked aside after Mizuiro's sassy remark, and didn't say anything more, that pretty much shut them up. Mizuiro browses the movies until he selects one that interested him. "We're watching this one. Hopefully Midori will stay up through the whole thing."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Midori questioned.
"Well, it's about an hour until your curfew, and this movie is about two hours long..." Mizuiro commented, low-key implying something.
"Are you implying that I won't stay up through the whole thing?!" Midori shouted.
"You said it, not him." Kuro quipped.
"You're both wrong!" Midori raises his arm up and holds up a single digit. "I will prove to both you that I will stay awake through the entire movie!" He claimed, pretty much taking this as a challenge, shortly after, he lowers his arm and lets out a yawn.
"Are you sure you can stay awake long enough?" Kuro teased.
Midori quickly snapped to him. "Positive!"
~~~~
Sure enough, about an hour into the movie, Midori was trying his hardest to not fall asleep, but fighting sleep is difficult when the movie isn't very entertaining. A couple times he dozed off, but would immediately wake up and shake his head in an attempt to ward off the drowsiness, there is no way he is proving his boyfriends right about not staying awake through the whole movie! He lasted about ten more minutes, until his eyelids grew too heavy. 'Maybe I'll close my eyes for just a few minutes, they won't notice...' He thought as he leaned back onto the couch, and before he knew it, he was out like a light.
The biidaman that were still awake turned to him when they began hearing him snore. "There he goes." Mizuiro mumbled.
"Shall I take him to bed?" Kuro asks hushedly.
"If you'd please, dear." Mizuiro quietly insisted as he pauses the movie.
Kuro gets up from his spot to get to Midori's side, once there, he carefully shifts him so he could pick him up more easily, but that seemed to make the green biidaman stir in his sleep. Midori stretches while letting out a loud yawn, then he turns his body towards Mizuiro, leans on him, and wraps his arms around him, all while still being asleep. "So soft..." The sleeping sergeant uttered.
The light-blue biidaman blushed, this just became an awkward predicament, it's not like this is the first time Midori used him as a pillow, but feeling like a rock in a hard place doesn't make this situation feel any less awkward for him, and it doesn't help that Kuro finds his predicament amusing. "Kuro, please get him off of me."
Kuro chuckled softly. "I'm not sure if I should. He looks so cozy."
The color of Mizuiro's blush deepens. "Kuro please! I rather not be a body pillow right now!" He whispered intensely.
"Okay okay." Kuro relented, trying to not snicker some more. He carefully pried the sleeping sergeant off of the rich biidaman and set him aside Mizuiro, Kuro then took off his cape, and used it to wrap up Midori to make it easier to pick him up. Midori may be a big guy, but Kuro managed to pick him and carry him.
Having been picked up stirred Midori from his slumber, his eyes barely open, but he is too sleepy to be aware of what Kuro is doing. "What's... going on..?"
"Nothing, Midori. Go back to sleep." Kuro gently urged.
"Okaaay..." Without objection, Midori nuzzles into Kuro's chest, and went right back to snoozing and snoring, now it was the edgelord's turn to blush.
"Aww, how cute." Mizuiro teased playfully.
"Sh-Shush!" Kuro whispered harshly before turning towards the doorway. "I'll be right back. You can keep watching the movie if you want."
Mizuiro nods. "Alright."
Kuro leaves the living room and carries Midori all way to their bedroom. Once near the bed, he moves the blanket aside, sets Midori down, carefully takes off his beret and bandana, and sets them where he will easily find them when he wakes up in the morning. Kuro tries to take his cape back without waking him up, but the sleeping sergeant has a tight hold of it, not wanting to let it go. He quietly chuckled. "Okay, I guess you can have it for tonight."
He tucks him in, then leans down and gives him a quick peck on the cheek. "I love you, you doofus. Rest well." He quietly says to him before he leaves the bedroom and heads back to the living room where Mizuiro is waiting for him.
The first thing Mizuiro notices when Kuro returns was his lack of a cape. "Where's your cape?" He inquires.
"I am letting him keep it for tonight." Kuro answered.
"Aww, that's awfully sweet of you." Mizuiro playfully teased.
Kuro looks aside to hide his blush and crosses his arms. "I only let him keep it because he wouldn't let go of it. He has a strong grip even while he's asleep, alright?"
Mizuiro chuckles. "Okay, I'll believe you. How about you sit down so we may finish our movie?"
He glanced back to Mizuiro, then silently went towards the couch and sat next to him. Kuro expected for the movie to get unpaused as soon as he sat down, what he didn't expect was his boyfriend to begin to gently hold his hand and kiss him on the cheek. The blush on his cheeks that were fading returned in a deep tone. Kuro turned to him to say something, but stopped himself as Mizuiro began to speak.
"You and Midori fight over the pettiest things," He pauses. "and yet, you both manage to still care about one another, despite your differences. Even if how you two showing that you care can be subtle, it's a nice thing to see."
He listened intently as Mizuiro spoke. When he finished speaking, Kuro was quiet for a moment, trying to come up with something to add, then finally spoke. "I guess so, though I will say, despite Midoribon being stubborn, brash, not thinking things through often, and how much he can get on my nerves, if I'm going to be honest," He smiles. "he breaks monotony and makes life more lively, and I guess that's what I like most about him."
Mizuiro nods in agreement. "Definitely."
"And knowing how he is, he's going to need somebody, or some people, to look after him so he doesn't hurt himself." Kuro adds
Mizuiro laughs a little at this. "Oh certainly."
"Midori may be an idiot," Kuro returns the gentle hand-hold. "but he's our idiot."
[In the Main Base's living room]
Beautiful music plays as two biidaman, and man and a lady, walk to the bow of a ship. The man then raises the lady into the air, as he does so, she stretches her arms out to seem like she's flying, what a very familiar sight. "I'm flying Jakkubon! I'm flying!"
The camera then pans to Polka and Tosukana on the couch, sobbing at this scene while they're holding tissues. "*sniffle* Th-That's s-so... BEAUTIFU-U-UL!" Polka bawled, his tears shooting like a water spout, before blowing into the tissue he was holding.
"This is *hic* too sweet!" Tosukana hiccupped as he tries futility to wipe away his tears with his tissue.
They both continued to cry as the sliding doors to the living room open and Sora walks in, wanting to know what's with crying. "What heck are you guys bawling about? I can hear your crying all the way down the hall." He turns to the television to see the romantic scene in question, then grimaces. "Eugh, you guys are watching a romantic movie? Gross." He looks back to the two. "Why the heck are you guys watching a romantic movie?" After saying that, Tosukana throws the tissue box he had next to him right at Sora, and it hits him square in the face, leaving a perfectly rectangular red mark across his face. "OW!"
"None of your business!" Tosukana yelled at him. "And it's not gross, it's beautiful!"
Sora rolled his eyes as he gently rubs the red mark. "Whatever. Anyway, did you guys really have to watch this at my place and not at Tucker's house?"
"Does it matter?" Tosukana inquired with a raised brow.
"Yes! Because mushy lovey-dovey romantic stuff is gross!" Sora argued.
"That's not a good reason." Tosukana contended.
"Yes it is!" Sora countered.
Now it was Tosukana's turn to roll his eyes, he then lets out an exasperated sigh. No point in continuing this argument, it's pointless anyway. He turns his attention to Polka when he hears him giggling. "Huh?"
His giggling also caught Sora's attention. "Porukabon?"
Polka didn't catch his name being called, he was too preoccupied in his own fantasy to even hear him. He fantasized about the same boat scene, but with him and Shian, and Shian is the one holding him up while he outstretches his arms as if to fly. "I'm flying, Shianbon! I'm flying!" He was so caught up in his daydream that his failed to realize he actually has his arms outstretched while now standing up on his tiptoes.
"Porukabon? Porukabon??" Sora tried calling out to him, but it fell on deaf ears. He slightly puffed up one of his cheeks and grumbled. He went off-screen for a moment, then came back with a comically large megaphone.
"Oh no." Knowing what Sora was going to next, Tosukana preemptively covers his (invisible) ears.
Sora raises the large megaphone, inhales, then screams into the speaker. "HEY! EARTH TO POLKA!"
The moment Polka heard the booming of Sora's voice through the megaphone, he lets out a shriek, and jumps up high into the air. "YAAAAH!" He then falls back down onto the floor and lands with *THUD!*. "AGH!" His eye is now a swirl. "Ow..."
Sora snickers. "Welcome back, Porukabon."
When Polka recovered from his mild daze, he swipes the comically large megaphone from his hand, jams the loudspeaker onto Sora's head, then picks the megaphone up by the handle, and yells into it. "DON'T FREAKING DO THAT AGAIN!"
The yell powered up by the loudspeaker sends Sora flying and crashing into the wall, leaving a Sora-sized indentation in said wall. "N-Noted..." Sora uttered in a pained, squeaky voice while dazed.
"Hmph." Polka scoffs as he tosses the megaphone away, then crosses his arms.
"Sheesh..." Tosukana uttered as he stared at Sora, he felt kind of bad for him, but he did deserve that for surprising Polka like that. He then shifts his gaze to Polka to ask him something. "Anyways, what happened there, Porukabon?"
"Huh?" Polka glances to him. "What do you mean, Tucker?"
"I mean, what were you daydreaming about just then?" Tosukana questioned.
His cheeks gain a pinkish tint. "Daydream?" He turns away and denies it. "I wasn't daydreaming."
Tosukana smirks. "You sure you weren't imagining that boat scene with yourself and Shianbon just then?"
Polka's cheeks got redder, did he actually say her name aloud while he was fantasizing? How embarassing! "N-No! No I wasn't!" He snapped back.
"Yes you weeeere.~" Tosukana sung teasingly.
Polka turned and snapped at him. "SH-SHUDDUP! I was not! I don't like her like that!"
"Polka, I know you crush on Shianbon, it's obvious. No point in trying to deny it, especially with that reddish-pink face of yours." Tosukana stated slyly.
Polka wanted to keeping denying it, but he couldn't figure out a retort to fire back to try to prove to Tosukana he's wrong. After sputtering for an answer, he finally conceded. "Okay fine! I have a crush on Shianbon, alright?! Will you knock it off now?! God!" He huffs, crosses his arms once again, and turns his back to him.
Tosukana snickers a bit. "Okay okay, I'll stop." He pauses for bit, then asks him. "When did you start crushing on her?"
Polka took a moment before responding. "After she saved me from hitting the ground after I fell out of that tree..."
Hearing that answer, Tosukana flashbacked to the time where he and his friends were playing a game of baseball, he accidentally hit the baseball into a tree, and Polka offered to go get it. He climbed the tree, and crawled onto a branch, and he was about to grab it when said branch snapped from under him, lucky for him, Shian managed to catch Polka right before he hit the ground, and unlucky for Sora, the baseball fell and bonked him on the head. Tosukana noticed Polka was blushing, but Polka himself told him it was just the shock of suddenly falling out of a tree. Tosukana knew there was something more to that, but at the time, it wasn't appropriate to point it out given the circumstance. "I figured that would be why."
Sora walks back over to the two, rubbing the spot where the baseball fell onto his head. "And I still feel that pain every now and then. Owie."
"Heh, I guess you really *fell* for her, didn't you, Porukabon?" Tosukana joked.
Polka groans. "Ugh, that's a joke my dad would make."
Tosukana laughs. "Sorry, couldn't help myself."
"Ugh, how cheesy." Sora remarked while turning away. Tosukana glared to him and throws another tissue box at him, and this time it hits him on the side of his head. "Ow! Stop that!"
"Anyway..." Tosukana began before turning to Polka, him still having his back facing him. "Why haven't you told her how you felt yet?"
It took Polka a couple seconds to reply. "I... I don't think she'll like me back..." He answered hesitantly.
"Not like you back?" Tosukana stood up and went over to him to place a hand on his back. "Dude, you won't know until you tell her how you feel."
Polka gazed to him and sputtered. "B-Bu-But I-I'm too afraid to tell her!"
"Then let me help you!" He offered. "I've watched enough romantic movies to know exactly what to do!"
"Are you sure..?" Polka asks, uncertain if Tosukana would really help him with this endeavor.
"Positive! And trust me Polka, I can help you win her over!" Tosukana insisted. "What do you say?"
Polka mulls it over for a bit, then lets out a sigh and agrees to his offer. "Fine, I guess you can help me confess to her."
Tosukana squealed in delight, then grabs Polka's arm. "Great! Now let's get you ready!"
"Ready?" Polka uttered in bewilderment.
"Yeah! We get you into a nice suit, then find a nice bouquet of flowers for you to give to her!" Tosukana turns to Sora. "Sorabon, do you want to help-" He stopped himself when he saw that Sora was no longer at the spot he was just standing at, then stares to the door to find it open and him standing in the hallway.
"Nope! I told you, romance, not my thing, plus, I have more important things to be getting to, now if you'll excuse me, I have to go play video games- I MEAN, go do heroic stuff with my dad! Later!" With that said, Sora zooms off, and the sliding door closes, leaving Polka and Tosukana on their own.
"Well, I guess that just leaves the two of us." Tosukana turns to Polka. "Now let's go get you spiffied up for your big moment!"
Polka didn't want to do this, something in the back of mind feels like something is going to go wrong, but if Tosukana says he knows what to do, then he trusts his judgement. In addition, it's probably better he tells Shian that he likes her now rather than wait until later, just to get it over with. Surely this cannot go horribly arwy, right?
[Later at Biida Park.]
After getting Polka all nice and fancied up, and finding a nice bouquet of cyan flowers, him and Tosukana head to where Shian said she'd be, Biida Park, and they find her chatting with Tiiru and Dot, aside from them, others were just minding their own business a fair distance away. "There she is, but she's still with Dottobon and Tiirubon..." Polka mumbles.
"She did say she's hanging out with them." Tosukana states.
"Ye-Yeah, but... I-I was ki-kinda hoping they would b-be off doing something else while sh-she waited, a-and no one else would be around..." He stammered. "I-I don't want t-to humiliate me-myself..."
Tosukana places a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Polka, everything will be fine, those biidaman are a little far away to pay you any notice, but I will be watching from the bushes just incase something does happen." He lightly pushes Polka forward, then hides in the nearby bushes, once in there, he shoots him a quick thumbs up. "Go get her, bud!" He then ducks into the foilage, only his eyes are showing now.
Polka stops and just stands there, shaking for a bit. Oh gosh, he is really going to do this, he is really going to confess his feelings to his crush. He wants to turn back, but it's too late for that, he's here now, may as well just get it over it and hope for the best. He takes in a deep breath, then breaths out. "You can do this, Porukabon. Just tell her how you feel. Be confident!" Clad with his suit and with bouquet in hand, he wills up the courage, and approaches over to the three. "Uh, he-hey guys." He uttered sheepishly.
Upon hearing him, the three turn to him. "Oh my goodness Porukabon! You look so nice!" Dot exclaimed.
"Whoa, I agree!" Attested Tiiru. "You look pretty good in that."
Polka blushes and rubs the back of his head, but he looks aside and doesn't say anything. "I'll say, you don't half-bad in that suit." Shian's compliment makes him blush deeper. "I gotta ask though, what's the occasion, and what's with the flowers?" She asked with a slightly raised brow.
Polka gulped. This is it. 'Don't back out now, Porukabon, you've wanting to tell her for a long time! Just say it!' After internally urging himself, he faces her, and shakily holds out the bouquet for her to take. "A-Actually S-Shian, th-they're for yo-you."
"F-For me? Wha..?" Shian needed a second to process. Why would he give her flowers? What would she even need them for? Pop's garden back home? He's probably allergic to some of these.
Dot's eyes glimmered and she put her hands together at Polka's gesture. "Awww!"
Tiiru is simply stands there, unsure of why Polka is gifting their sister flowers. They know that Shian is not really into flowers that much. Were the flowers even hypoallergenic? They wouldn't want "Mom" to get allergies if they weren't and Shian chooses to take them home.
Meanwhile, Tosukana is watching from the bushes. "This is already going well so far!" He muttered excitedly to himself.
Polka shakes his head and clears his throat to compose him, he then gets on one knee, and outstretches the bouquet a bit more, and speaks in the most "handsome" voice he could muster as he also pulls off the "handsome face" he learned from Shirobon. "Shianbon, after you saved me after I fell out of that tree that fateful day, I have had feelings for you, and I can't keep them boxed up anymore. Shianbon, I like-like you. Will you accept me as your boyfriend?"
"Oh my gosh!" Dot squeaked. She knew of Polka's crush on Shian, and she was so glad he finally got the courage to tell her how he felt about her.
The realization finally dawned to Tiiru. "Oooooh, that's why you're giving her the flowers."
Meanwhile, Shian just... couldn't figure out what to say right away. She didn't think Polka liked her like that, he gave her no indication that he crushed on her, actually, now that she thinks about it, those weird looks he sometimes gave her and how he sometimes blushes near her makes a lot more sense now. How the heck did she not connect the dots sooner? It was kinda obvious.
She felt... awkward, to say the least. She doesn't return those feelings, and Polka needs to know this. Better to rip off the band-aid than to lie about reciprocating his feelings.
"Porukabon, that's nice and all," She lightly pushes the bouquet back to him. "but no, I won't."
Polka felt his heart shatter. "N... No..?" The flowers in the bouquet wither. "Wh-Why..?" He shakily asked as his eye began to water.
"Bro., I'm not into you." She tells him bluntly. "I like you and all, but not in that way."
He stares to the ground, tears falling from his eye. She didn't like him back... Polka sorta expected this to happen, yet, the truth still crushed him.
Seeing Polka in this state, Tiiru glares and whispers to Shian. "Shianbon, you didn't think you could've let him down more gently than that?"
"What?" She whispered back. "He needed to know I didn't like him like that."
"Did you need to be so blunt about it?" They ask.
Dot chimes in hushedly. "I'm with Tiirubon. You could've told him more nicely."
"I still got my point across, didn't I?" Shian inquired. "I already told you guys, I'm into someone else." She says, not realizing she said that aloud.
Hearing that, Polka gazed up to her. "Someone else..?"
'S**t, did I say that out loud?' She cursed internally. "Uh, no. I didn't say that." She tried to bluff.
Polka was not buying it. "No, I heard you loud and clear." He stands up. "You're into someone else." His grip on the withered bouquet tightened, and his voice raised as he continued speaking. "Why didn't you tell me sooner so I didn't waste my godd**n time?!"
With Polka getting aggressive, Shian reacts in kind. "Because it's none of your godd**n business!" She snapped. "Plus, how was I supposed to know you liked me? You barely made it obvious!"
Tiiru stepped forward a bit, hands held in a "calm down" gesture. "Please calm down you two."
"STAY OUT OF THIS!" Polka screamed at them.
Shian got defensive. "DON'T YOU YELL AT THEM!"
From the bushes, Tosukana didn't expect things to take a sour turn, nor for it to become a scene. "Oh no, this got ugly fast. I should step in before it gets even worse." He comes out of his hiding spot and rushes over to them, hoping to diffuse this situation while feigning obliviousness.
Tiiru sees him running over all of a sudden. They stare at him bewildered. Where did he come from? "Taka?"
"Hey everyone! I was on my way here when I heard yelling. What's going on this time?" He asks, pretending to act like he doesn't know what's happening.
Polka swiftly turned to him. "Don't you pull that crap!"
Tosukana flinched, not expecting Polka to turn on him suddenly. "P-Porukabon, what are you-"
Polka cuts him off. "Don't you pull that fake obliviousness BS! You know full well what was happening!" He jabs a finger into Tosukana's chest. "Why the FREAK did you not warn me this was going to happen?! With all the romance movies you watch, you should've known something like this could happened, now you made me a fool of myself! You got my hopes up for nothing!"
"You tried to help him, Tucker?" Dot questioned him.
"I-I..." Tosukana stammered, trying to come up with a good answer. He decided to drop the oblivious facade at this point, no need to keep it up any longer. "I... I tried to-" He was cut off adruptly when Shian grabs his arm and pulls him away from the enraged Polka, then stands infront of him protectively.
"I don't know what the heck you're talking about, but you need to f*cking lay off and leave him alone!" She bellowed.
The hand that held the withered bouquet clenched tighter. "You f*cking know what?!" Polka slams the bouquet down onto the ground. "SCREW YOU! I DON'T YOU NEED YOU!" With that he storms off, crying until he was out of the group's eyesight. Silence soon followed. The whole scene caught the attention of some of the biidaman at the park, but they all went back to minding their own business once the scene was over, trying to act like that didn't happen.
Shian takes in a deep breath before sighing. "Oh my bon..." She then turns to Tosukana. "Tucker, you have some explaining to do."
"And after he's done explaining," Tiiru added while glaring at their sister. "*We* need to discuss some things."
She raised a brow. "What?"
In the bushes across from where Tosukana was formerly hiding, the Neo Devil Trio, or Neo Musketeers, watched all the drama go down, no one noticed they were there. "Ooooh, draaamaaa.~" Dandylion sung quietly. Once the show was over, the three ducked down and sat upon the ground.
"That was like a scene from a movie, except it was actually good." Lucifer commented.
"Pffft, yeah. She straight up shot him down. I *almost* feel bad for Porukabon, but not really." Hades remarked.
"Oh poor Porukabon's little heart, and I thought *we* were the bad guys here." Dandylion says with fake sincerity while shaking their head. "What a shame."
Hades brandishes some kind of black and dark red device. "What a shame indeed."
Lucifer raises a brow upon seeing the aforementioned device. "What are you planning to do with that, sis?"
"Oh, just a little something that will, shall I say... "assist" Porukabon, and make Shianbon regret turning him down." Hades answered somewhat sinisterly.
"You're going to use that on him? Hades, hasn't he been through enough?" Dandylion questioned, partially concerned, but mostly not.
"Nope." She replied. "Despite how One-Eye feels about Ms. Blunt right now, convincing him will not be an option, so I have a little plan to rope him in."
The siblings huddle together to discuss said plan. "Oh come on, do I really have to wear *that?*" Dandylion whined quietly.
"You're the second tallest here. You have to for the plan to work." Hades states hushedly.
Dandylion groans softly. "Fiiine."
"Why are we whispering?" Lucifer asked whilst whispering.
There was a pause before Hades shrugged. "I don't know, we don't know who's listening I guess."
~~~~
Somewhere at a clearing in the far outskirts of Biida Park, Polka was venting and taking out his frustrations on a rather large rock. "God freaking DAMMIT!" He screamed as he managed to punch an indent into the stone. "What a waste of my godd**n time! I figured crap like this was gonna happen, yet I held my f**king hopes up! I'm such a f**king IDIOT!" He punches another indentation into the rock, causing some pebbles to fly, before resting against it, and began sobbing into his knees.
He didn't cry for long as he heard a little girl shrieking. "Huh?" Polka looks up to see what he thought was a chubby dark green little girl getting chased by a large kumaron. "HELP ME!" She cried out. Guess Polka has to put aside his self-appointed pity party for later and help this little girl out!
She trips over a little rock, then turns her body to face the kumaron that was towering over her, it roars as it moves in to attack her. She screamed as she braced herself for its attack.
"HEY! LEAVE HER ALONE!" Polka yelled to the kumaron, making it stop in its tracks and turn to face him. It roared once more as it began charging at him on two legs.
Polka was a bit scared, but he plants his feet firmly into the ground, put his hands around his biidama, and fires off a biida shot at the rampaging kumaron. The biida shot made a direct hit on its head, and it knocked it right out. "Ha! Gotcha!" He then rushes to the girl to see if she's alright, and holds his hand out to help her up. "Are you okay?"
She takes his hand and helps herself up. "Yes I am. Thank you so much for saving me! That thing decided to chase me for no reason!"
Polka smiled a bit. "Heh, it was no problem I guess." As he was talking, he was unaware someone was approaching him from behind. "I gotta ask though, what're you doing out here? Did you get lost or something?"
He never got his answer as he was suddenly snatched up from behind by an armored-up Lucifer. "GAH! What the?! LET ME GO!" Polka tried to break free from his hold, during his struggle, he caught a glimpse of his holder. "Lucifer?!"
"Yeah, it's me, and I suggest you stop your struggling." He raised his armored talon until it was barely touching Polka's chin. "That is, if you don't want to get your new suit ruined."
Polka could care less about his suit right now and cares more about what their motives with him are. He tries to chomp on Lucifer's wrist to get himself free, there was an audible *CLANG!* of metal, then he cries out and starts spitting profusely. "AUGH! Ow! Yuck! Pft! Pfffft!"
"I don't know why you thought trying to chomp me was a smart idea." Lucifer remarked.
"Bleh! That wasn't just a cry of pain, doofus! That was mostly a cry of how disgusting your armor tastes! It tastes as bad as those Bontendo Switch cartridges! Do you ever wash this thing?!" Polka spat back.
His insults ticked Lucifer off, but also baffled him somewhat. Who in their right mind would taste those bitter cartridges? Not like Lucifer would know, not like he tried doing that or anything- oh nevermind that, he was insulted, that what matters at the moment. "How about you shut up and watch your tongue before you lose it, punk!" He threatened as he moves the claw to touch Polka's chin.
Polka gulped at this and froze, then he glances to the girl with a pleading eye. "Don't just stand there, help me!"
"Oh Porukabon, I would, but..." She undoes her disguise, revealing herself to be Hades!
"HADES?!" He shouted out.
"Is there really a need to shout out my name?" She quipped.
Groaning is heard from the kumaron. It sits up, then takes off its head, revealing it to actually be Dandylion! They rubbed the newly formed bump from where Polka's biida shot hit on their head.
"Owwww..." They whine before standing up and turning to glare at their siblings. "Next time, one of you guys is wearing the tacky costume and getting hurt!"
Hades rolled her eyes. "Oh quit your whining."
Polka growled. "Grah! Enough of the chatter, and let me go right now!"
"Oh, what would be the fun in that?" Hades inquired. "Especially if we need you for something."
"I'm not in the mood to deal with you guys right now! I've already had a bad enough day as it is! I don't want any part of your scheme!" Polka hissed.
"Oh, we already knew that, getting crushed by your crush and all that." Hades gets out the evil-looking ray gun-like device. "And we weren't intending on asking you."
"Y-You saw all that- YOU THREE WERE SPYING ON THAT?! YOU NOSY PIECES OF-" Polka adruptly stopped his bellowing upon seeing the device in her hands, he went from raging to worried when the second thing Hades said began to sink in.
"What's that..?" He asked hesitantly, not really wanting to know the answer.
"What, this thing?" She raised the evil ray gun up from her other hand before lowering it back into it. "Don't worry about it, actually, you wouldn't have to do any worrying once I'm done using this Dark Energy Ray on you."
"DARK ENERGY RAY?! WHAT?!" He shrieked.
"Hold him still!" Hades commanded Lucifer as she tries getting closer to Polka, evil device in hand. Lucifer nods, and his hold on Polka tightened.
Oh heck no! Polka wasn't going to let himself become their test subject! He resumed his struggling, he kicked his feet about as he tried to forcibly remove Lucifer's arm from around his throat to try to pry himself free, grunting and shouting as he did so. "NO! AGH! LET ME GO! LET. ME. GO! I'M NOT GONNA BE YER GUINEA PIG! ARRGH!"
Lucifer growled as he started having difficulties holding him still. "Knock it off you brat! And stop your screaming! You're too far out here for anyone to hear you! Just let it happen!"
"NO!" Polka refused to let up, he couldn't afford to let them win! Eventually though, he wound up exhausting himself, Lucifer is much stronger than he is, all his efforts to escape ended up being futile.
"You seem like your about done." Without wasting another second, Hades sticks the device onto Polka's biidama. "Don't worry, this won't hurt you... much!" She turns it on, and the Dark Energy Ray began transmitting dark energy into Polka through his marble.
When she said it wouldn't hurt him much, she lied. He closed his eye tightly as he began to writhe, grunt, and cry out as he felt the dark energy course through his body. He used what reach he had to grab the sides of his head as he felt the dark energy begin to take hold, he then painstakingly moved his hands to cover his face. "Ggh! N-No! NO! AAAGH!"
The device soon shuts off, having run out of dark energy, not long after, Polka fell quiet, his hands fell from his face, and he became eerily still. Hades removed the device from his biidama, which was no longer blue, but is now almost completely black. She gestured for Lucifer to put him down. "The transfer's done, you can put him down now."
Lucifer sets him on his feet and gets next to Hades as Polka slightly hunches forward and softly groaned. "Is he just about done complaining yet?" Dandylion questioned as they just about get their other foot out of their kumaron costume. "Such a tacky thing. Ugh, never again." They mumble before stepping over to their sister.
Hades turned to her sibling to answer. "Yup, he's quiet as a snail." She turns back to Polka to give him a simple command. "Porukabon, open your eye." He obediently does so, his eye color is no longer sienna brown, it is now a very pale brown, it no longer had an eye-shine, and he has an evil, hateful glare, though this look wasn't because of what the siblings had done. He began growling lowly and doing the motions of wanting to beat someone up. "Tell me, Porukabon, how do you feel?"
"...ANGER..." He replied robotically and darkly.
"Anger, eh? I see." Dandylion stepped infront of him, knelt down to meet his eye, and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Anger over what?"
"...BROKEN...HEART..." He answered robotically and lowly.
"Ooh, that is something to be angry about, huh?" They comment. "And we certainly know whose fault that is, don't we?" Polka didn't answer, but he responded by making a low growl-like noise, then hisses the name of his heart-breaker. "SHIANBON..."
"Mm-hm, and since Shianbon is the one to break your heart," Dandylion raised their fist in front of him, then clenched it, a bone-cracking sound effect is heard after they did so, and speaks a bit darkly. "Destroy her! Crush her like how she crushed your heart! Make her regret ever rejecting you!"
Polka growled and nodded, then spoke lowly. "YES, MX...." With that, the Dandylion ushered him off to fulfill his mission as he continued to slowly punch his own palm.
Lucifer and Hades stare at Dandylion, slightly stunned. "Geez Dandy, you sure can get... "dark" when you want to be." Hades acknowledged.
Lucifer nodded. "Yeah. Your name may be Dandylion, but you sure get sinister when we least expect it." He smirked. "I like that."
"Me too." Hades attested.
Their siblings' compliments made them blush and hold their cheeks. "Aww, thank you! You two flatter me." They lowered their hands and did a little clap. "Now how about we go watch the show go down?"
"H**l yeah!" Shouts Lucifer.
"Great idea. I can't wait to see the annoying cyan one get crushed!" Hades exclaimed. "Shall I get some popcorn?"
Dandylion bounced. "Ooh! Yeah! Let's have the big bucket!"
"By the way Dandy, how did you manage to make that sound effect anyway?" Lucifer inquired. "Hope you didn't actually hurt your hand.
Dandylion opened their palm they made the sound with to reveal a joy-buzzer-like thing strapped around their hand. "This sound buzzer! I found it in a gag shop."
Lucifer chuckled. "Heh, nice."

Back with the main group, Tiiru and Dot just finish talking to Shian about how she should've taken Polka's feelings into consideration instead of just being straight up honest. "So you rather have me lie to him?" Shian inquires.
"That's not what we were saying." Tiiru objected.
"What we we're trying to tell you is you should've let him down gently. Something like "Polka, I like you, but I see you more like a friend than a boyfriend. I'm sorry you had to learn this way, but I hope we could still be friends." would've been a better response, other than just... being outright honest." Dot explained. "He might not have taken it as badly..."
"And not saying you were into someone else would've also helped." Tiiru muttered snidely while looking aside, but Shian clearly heard that.
"Shut up, Ti! I didn't think I said that out loud!" She snapped, then turned back to Dot. "And Dotto, when you put it like that..." She pauses, then sighs. "Yeah, I could've worded it better. Porukabon probly wouldn't be as pi-" She briefly stops to correct herself. "-'as upset' with me right now."
"This is all my fault." Tosukana admitted. "I encouraged him to confess to Shian and got his hopes up."
"Yeah, and not only that, you forgot the "G" part in "GBs," Tucker. How could you ever forget that part??" She questioned him, rather upset that he forgot the "gay" part in their best friend duo name.
Tosukana looks away and gazes to the ground. "I guess I got so eager to try to help Porukabon gain the courage to confess to you that it just... completely slipped my mind somehow... I'm sorry Shian..." He lets out sigh afterwards. "I didn't mean for this mess to happen..."
"Bro," Shian puts a hand on his shoulder. "while I am kinda upset at you for forgetting, your heart was in the right place for Porukabon, though with all the romance movies you watch, you should've considered this mess happening as a possiblity."
Her remark made him let out a little chuckle. "Yeah, I should've. I didn't watch too many romance movies where that happened, but I still should've known better."
Shian nodded. "Maybe you should lay off those kinds of movies for a while, dude." She joked.
Dot spoke up to ask Shian something. "Shianbon, if you don't mind me asking, um, what does "GBs" stand for?"
Shian replies with: "It's an acronym for me and Tucker's duo name. We'll tell you what it stands for later." She rests her hands on her sides, then raises one of them up. "Alright, enough talking, I think now's the time to go find Porukabon. Anyone know where he could've went?"
Everyone went silent as they start hearing the crackling of electricity. It was barely quiet, but it began to sound like it was getting closer. Tiiru voices their concern "Uh, no, but does anyone else hear a crackling sound getting closer." Their question made everyone turn to the source of the noise, and see a yellowish-orange electrified shot heading towards them!
"LOOK OUT!" Tosukana shouts to everyone.
Luckily everyone, including Dot (whom used the spring function of her wheelchair) dodged it. The area where the group once stood crackled with electricity for a bit.
"Where the did that come from?!" Yelled Shian. Her question was soon answered when Bolt-Striker flies in, Polka is armored up within it, and is staring her down with an evil, angry glare while growling lowly. "Porukabon?!"
They have a stare-off for a moment, then Polka utters lowly and robotically. "DESTROY... SHIANBON..."
"Wait, WHA-" She was cut off as Bolt-Striker began firing three more biida shots, all aiming directly at her. "S**T!" She barely manages to avoid getting hit and the following explosions.
"Shianbon!" Dot, Tiiru, and Tosukana all call out at once.
After evading Polka's attacks, she swiftly turns towards to yell. "Dude, what the FREAK do you think you're doing?! I get I broke your heart and all that, but does that really warrant destroying me?!" Polka answers by getting much some smaller biida cannons to come out of the main one and firing some more biida shots at her. "GAH!" She gets out of the way of the attacks, but she starts making a run for it as Polka chases her down.
"I don't know what's gotten into Porukabon, but we have to help Shianbon!" Shouts Tosukana.
"Right!" Tiiru takes out their phone with an open app. "Time to call Tenacious-Tealer!" They press the button on the app, but nothing happens. "Huh?" They press it again, same effect. "Why the heck isn't it-" They check to see why it wasn't working and quickly found out the problem. "Low phone battery?! Are you kidding me?! This is the worst possible time for that to happen!"
"Why didn't you park it somewhere close-by?!" Tosukana exasperated.
"I didn't think Polka would start attacking Shian, Tucker! Plus, we aren't allowed to park around here!" Retorted Tiiru.
Dot speaks up. "I have a way to get to our mechs quickly, Tiirubon."
They turn to her. "You do?" Shortly after their inquiry, Dot presses a button on the handle of her wheelchair that makes handlebars and a footrest come out of her wheelchair's backside. Tiiru stares wide-eyed in awe. "Whoaaa! What's this?"
"A new feature I added." She replied proudly. "Now hop on!" Tiiru nods and hops on.
Tosukana takes out his phone. "While you two go get your mechs, I'm going to call Sorabon for back-up!"
They both nod simultaneously. "Alright!"
Dot looks ahead. "Hang on tight, Tiirubon!" With that, they both take off, Tiiru yelling "WHOAAA!" until they were out of earshot.
"Now to call Sorabon for his assistance!" Tosukana tries to call Sora, but after waiting a bit, it goes to voicemail. 'Sorry, your hero is busy! Try calling again later!' He tries calling him again, same effect. "C'mon, pick up!" Third times the charm. He tried calling him a third time, once again, same result. "Why isn't he picking up?! What could he even be doing at a time like this?!" Tosukana shouts in frustration.
----
Meanwhile, Shiro and Sora were in a heated video game battle, lots of button mashing was heard, until...
"WINNER!" The video game announcer announced.
"DANG IT!" Sora bellowed as he stood up and stomped his foot.
"I win once again kiddo." Shiro remarked.
"Grr, you cheated! Best 8 out of 10!" Sora demanded.
"Heh, you're on! Huh?" Shiro noticed Sora's phone going off on the nearby coffee table. "I think your phone's going off, Sora."
Sora glanced to his phone to see it was Tosukana trying to call him. "Tucker's calling me."
"Aren't you going to answer it?" Shiro inquired.
"Nah, he's probably calling to ask me to help him with Polka's "romantic interest" thing eugh." Sora answered.
"Ooh, Polka has feelings for someone, eh?" Questioned Shiro, very much interested.
"Yeah, but I ain't about to go into that. Romance is not my thing nor my business, it's weird and gross." Sora states, then makes a proclamation. "Back to the game! And I WILL win this time!"
----
After failing to reach him a third time, Tosukana groaned and decided to leave a voicemail. "Sorabon, we're having trouble over here, and we really could use your help right now! Please get over here as soon as possible!" 'End of message.' "Hopefully he'll get that one, but I'm not going to stand here and wait for him!" Tosukana goes off to find his mecha as well.
Via a spy camera and a portable TV monitor, the Neo Musketeers watch this all go down from the safety of behind a conveniently large boulder while munching on popcorn out of a comically large bucket. "Oooh, this is getting good!" Dandylion says before eating some more popcorn.
"C'mon, destroy her already!" Lucifer shouted, then stuffed more popcorn into his mouth.
Shian kept running away, trying to not get hit by Polka's barrage of attacks, until an explosion from a biida shot that barely missed her grazes her leg and causes her to fall forward. "WAAH! Oof!" She winces and grabs her injured leg. "Gah! Frick!" She turns her body around, wincing as she does so, to see Bolt-Striker looming over her, charging up for another attack. "PORUKABON STOP!" She screams, then makes eye-contact with him. "Look, I'm sorry, okay?! I get it, I messed up and I hurt your feelings, and I should've worded what I said better, but you shouldn't have to destroy me over this! Snap out of it, dude! Do you really think you have to kill me over this?!"
Polka stares at her silently, after what felt like a minute, he replies. "YOU DESTROYED MY HEART... NOW I'M GOING TO DESTROY YOU!" He fires the charged shot at her.
Mama and Papa are Still Here (Money is Power drabble)
The green and light-blue lovebirds were having another one of their private dancing sessions, it's been a little while, so they're a little rusty. Lucky for them, they made some alone time while the staff kept an eye on their child, or so they thought. They were in the middle of their session when little Tiiru crawls in, and started crawling towards them excitedly once they saw their parents. Midori was first to notice and stopped their session and turned off the music. "Hey Mizu, we have a little audience."
"Hmm?" Mizuiro glanced to where Midori is looking to see his little one crawling to him. He frowned, not necessarily from the baby being in the room, but it was because it was supposed to his and Midori's alone time. "Tiirubon, what are you doing in here? Shouldn't the staff be watching you?"
Tiiru just cooed and giggled in response once they make it to their parents legs and sat between them. "Mama! Papa!"
Mizuiro sighed. "Oh you..."
"I think the little guy wants to watch us dance." Midori says.
"Hunny, he can't. This is supposed to be our time alone, besides, the staff could be looking for him." States Mizuiro.
"I know, but will it hurt just to let Tiirubon watch? We'll tell the staff he crawled in here to watch us." Midori asks.
Mizuiro wants to argue, but he knows there's no point in arguing with his husband, he is stubborn after all. He sighed again. "Okay, he can watch us, but he can't be on the floor. I do not want to accidentally step on him while we dance."
Midori nods and lets go of Mizuiro. "Got it. Come here, Tiirubon." He picks up the baby and takes them to the duo's bed. He uses his free arm to gather some of the pillows to make a little "chair" for Tiiru, then sets them down in it. "There you go little guy! You'll be nice and comfy while you watch mama and papa dance!" The baby coos happily as they clap their tiny hands.
Midori walked back to Mizuiro, turns the music back on, and grasps his hands. "Shall we resume our session?"
Mizuiro paused, then smirked. "We shall."
And shall they did. They danced around as little Tiiru watched very intently, they giggle and clap their little hands as a way to cheer their parents on. As time went on and they got more into it, their biidamas began to glow and sparkle in their respective colors, and after Midori twirled Mizuiro and caught him, there was a bright light, then there was Mizudori.
They opened their eyes. "Huh?" They look around, then stare down at their hands. "Oh!" They chuckle as they rub the back of their head. "Whoops, heh, I guess we got too into it, didn't we? Sure looks it."
They gaze to their bed to see their child all big-eyed. They completely forgot Tiiru was there. "Uh oh..."
The infant stared at the stranger for a bit, then frantically looked around for their parents. "Mama?! Pa...pa..?" Scared and confused, they began whimpering, then cried. "Mamaaaa! Papaaaa!"
"Oh dear, this isn't good." Mizudori muttered. "Uh, h-hey, Tiirubon." They say softly as approach the wailing baby. "Hey, it's okay. Sssh." They pick them up and spoke. "Tiiru, hey."
The baby opens their watery eyes and briefly stops crying upon being picked and hearing their gentle voice, though they are still whimpering. "It's okay. We know you're scared and confused, but Mama and Papa are still here." They reassure the little one. "Look into our eyes."
The whimpering infant does just that. They stare into Mizudori's eyes, soon enough, they can see both of their parent's faces within the one they're staring softly with, and their whimpering stops. "Ma-ma..? Pa-pa..?"
Mizudori softly smiles. "That's right, Tiiru, Mama and Papa are still here." Tiiru outstretches their arms, wanting a hug, and Mizudori gently does so. "Sorry for scaring you like that, little one. We did not mean to."
After a bit of time has passed, Tiiru looks up towards Mizudori and starts babbling, prompting them to look down to their child. "What is it, Tiirubon?" They ask.
"Mm-mmm... Ma... Pa." "Huh?" "Ma-pa... Ma-pa! Mapa mapa mapa!" Tiiru chants their new word.
"Ma-pa?" Midori's half laughed while Mizuiro's half was like 'Seriously?' "That's adorable! Hun, please don't encourage him. Come on, Mizu, what else is he supposed to call us? I rather be called 'dada.' He's smart enough to come up with something to refer us as, you got to at least give him credit for that."
Tiiru continued to chant "Mapa" over and over until a member of staff looking for Tiiru came in. "Little Tiirubon, is this where you went-" The staff member's eyes met with Mizudori's. Well this situation got a little awkward; Tiiru isn't the only one that hasn't seen Mizudori before. "Uh..."
"Who are you, and why are you holding young Master Tiirubon?!" The staff member shouts.
The blissfully oblivious baby continued their chanting as they staring happily at their 'mapa.' "Mapa! Mapa! Mapa!"
"Mopa..? Huh??" The staff member simply stared, bewildered at the teal biidaman and the chanting Tiiru. Why were they calling him a "mopa," and why were they so happy to be in this stranger's arms? They take a better look at him, and after a few seconds, their eyes widen. "Master Mizuirobon?! Master Midoribon?!"
"Erm, yes." They use a free arm to rub the back of their head. "We'll explain later."
"Thank you for offering to teach me how to waltz, Mizuiro." Midori says as he is guided towards the Mansion's garden by Mizuiro, before rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "I tried practicing with Witchy, but I have two left feet when it comes to duet dancing."
"It was no issue, hun. Besides, this will be good practice for me too." Mizuiro states. "With this formal event we've been invited to, we need all the practice we can get."
Midori nods. "Agreed." The Sarge observes the garden around him. There were so many different types of plants, as well as hypoallergenic flowers, he didn't think there were that many. "Wow, what a really nice garden you have here."
The scion turns to him with a smile. "Thank you kindly, but I have to give all the credit to my gardeners. They're the ones that have been maintaining it, I just chose the flowers to go in here so I do not have sneezing fits often whenever I come out here. Oh! Here we are."
The duo arrive and stop at their destinated spot, a nice clearing with a fancy-looking fountain nearby a large fancy gazebo with a bowtie emblem above the opening, within it, there is nice little table with two chairs, the table having a portable light-blue radio situated on it. Midori thought the gazebo was nice, but he found it having an emblem of Mizuiro's bowtie above the opening rather silly. "Do you always have to have an emblem of your bowtie plastered above every entrance?" He remarked playfully.
"Consider it, as the kids call it, "my aesthetic."" The scion replied, making Midori chuckle a little.
Mizuiro steps into the gazebo and over to the radio, and turns it on to some calming, yet fitting music. He then turns the Sarge, and holds a hand out to him. "Are you ready for your lessons in waltzing, Midori?"
Midori could feel his heart fluttering and his cheeks warming up. He shakes his head to snap himself to attention and keep himself composed, then nods, steps into the gazebo, and grabs Mizuiro's hand. "I'm ready!"
With that, they begun their practice. Midori wasn't kidding when he said he has two left feet when it came to dancing in a duet, he stumbled a lot, and he almost stepped on Mizuiro's feet a couple times. Despite his blunderings, the duo continued to practicing, and slowly and with Mizuiro's reassurance, Midori began to get the hang of it. "I think I'm starting to get the hang of this, Mizu!"
As the music continued, so did the two's waltzing. They are all smiles, they are genuinely having a good and fun time, so much fun they didn't realize their biidamas were glowing and sparkling in their respective colors. Midori twirled Mizuiro one more time before gracefully catching him with his other arm, and the music just so happened to end right when that happened. They opened their eyes, and both of them blushed when they saw how close eachother's faces were, then began to laugh.
The next thing the two knew, there was a bright light, and they white out briefly, coming to just a few seconds later. They open their eyes, and they were now sitting on the floor, wondering what just happened. One moment they were having a grand time, then in the next, there was a bright light, and their partner is nowhere to be seen.
"Midoribon, where did you-..." Mizuiro pauses. Was that his voice just then? It sounded similar to his, yet, it was a different, slightly deeper pitch. Why is that?
"Mizu?" Midori called out, he's noticed the change in his voice's pitch, but he is more concerned about where Mizuiro went. "Where are you?"
"I'm here." Mizuiro replied while looking around. "I was about to ask where you were."
"Where?" Midori responded while looking around as well, trying to find the other. "I don't see you."
They stand up. "I'm at the gazebo." Mizuiro answered.
"The gazebo?" Midori says, bemused. "I'm at the gazebo as well. How can I not see you?"
This was odd. How could they be in the same place, yet, not be able to see eachother? There was a pause from the both of them. "Hun, does your voice sound different as well?" "I've noticed that. Why?" "It sounds very similar to..." Beat. It occurs to the two that when they speak, they share the same voice. How is that even possible?
They raise their hands and gaze down at them. "What the?? Why are they-..?" They mutter as they're trying to comprehend what they're seeing. Their orbs... they were a dark turquoise. That wasn't the only thing they've noticed, upon glancing at their sleeves, then their clothes, they were wearing some kind of camo suit, Mizuiro doesn't recall owning a suit like this (aside from the one Midori gifted him), and Midori certainly knew he wasn't wearing a suit before. "What's going on here..?"
They shifted their gaze to the fountain. They have to find out what happened to them, there's no mirror here to look into, so the water's reflection is the next best thing. Once they get near the fountain, they peer into the water, then their eyes widen and they let out a soft gasp, the dark blue-eyed teal biidaman staring back at them was not Midori nor Mizuiro, but rather... a mix of the two, even their bowtie and bandana is some kind of combo. They blink, rub their eyes, then blink some more to see if they're seeing things, they weren't. They then feel around their face, then their bowtie-bandana combo.
"We... fused..??" They utter in astonishment. Something like this should not be at all possible. This was too surreal to even be remotely real, yet, here they were, now the embodiment something that's supposed to be "impossible", and it isn't a dream.
As weird as sharing a body is for them, it... wasn't that bad, if they were going to be honest, they didn't look bad either, but there is one problem. "If we fused, then how do we "unfuse?"" They ask themselves, before being followed by silence.
They have no idea how or why they fused in the first place, except maybe by... "Do you think we fused because we danced together? That is the only logical reason I think of why, but two biidaman fusing? Until now, I thought it only ever happened in fiction, and for it to happen to 'us' of all biidaman. Yeah."
They pause. "With us sharing a voice, it sounds like we're just talking to ourselves." They chuckle. "Heh, it sure does, it might be considered odd to anyone that sees us like this. Speaking of anyone, we should probably go see Greibon Hakase regarding our..." They glance down to their arms. ""condition," maybe he knows something. Good thinking, hun, but before we go..."
They stare back to their reflection, and check themselves out. Midori's half was confused. "Mizu, why're you checking us out? Come on hun, you have to admit, we look pretty good as a fusion. Heh, I will admit, we do look rather good. What do you suppose we call ourselves?"
They pause in thought. "Hmm... Miiizuuu...doribon? Mizudoribon, hmm... I like that, it has a nice ring to it."
Thinking this was it, Shian braces herself for impact, only for a red biida shot to hit the charged shot, destroying it. "Porukabon!" Shian and Polka turn to the direction the shot as well as the source of the voice came from, and there stood Tuscan-Dragon in mecha form.
"Taka! Thank bon!" Shian cries out out of relief.
"Porukabon! You need to knock this off right now!" Tosukana bellowed to Polka.
Polka growls lowly at him. Shortly after, he transforms into mecha form himself. Tosukana sighed. "You don't want to make this easy, do you?" Polka responds by firing at him. "I'll take that as a no!"
Shian uses their battle as a chance to get away so she doesn't get caught in the crossfire. She winces as she stands up, and began limping away. "D**mit! Had I been faster, I wouldn't have gotten hurt!" She muttered to herself.
She turned around to make sure Polka wasn't going after her, only to see Polka and Tosukana fight. She'd stay and watch, because who doesn't want to watch a good fight, but she knew she had to get away to avoid getting injured further. Before she turned around to do so, she noticed something about Bolt-Striker's main Biida Cannon, it is usually yellowish-orange/orange when in mecha form, but this time it was almost all black, then it clicked for Shian. "Something's up with his biidama! That's why Polka's acting like this!" She had to tell this to Tosukana! "Tucker! TUCKER!"
Tosukana turned to her direction. "Huh?" Before he could address what it is she needed to tell him, Polka takes advantage of her distraction by grabbing Tuscan-Dragon's robotic arm and began swinging him around in circles twice, Tosukana screaming as he did so, before throwing him at Shian, now she is screaming as well. She doesn't have any time to get away, but luckily for her, she was scooped up in time by the robotic hands of the transformed Tenacious-Tealer, and unluckily for Tosukana, he slams face-first into a thick tree trunk, an audible *CLANG!* is heard upon impact, and he is left dazed.
Tiiru lifts up their sibling to meet their and assess her. "Shianbon, are you okay!?"
"Aside from my leg, I'm alright." She glanced over to the dazed Tuscan-Dragon. "Can't say the same for Tucker though." She looked back to her mechanized sibling. "What took you so long?"
Dot arrives in her Spotted-Flitterbug and answers her question. "We had to make sure to get anyone else nearby evacuated." Tiiru nods in confirmation.
"That makes sense." Shian affirmed.
Dot turns her attention to Tosukana, then hovers next to him to check on him. "Tosukana, are you going to be alright?"
"I'll be fiiiine little yellow ladybug..." He replied dazily, then he helps himself up and shakes his metal head. "I mean- I'm fine, Dottobon!"
"Let's hope so." Shian remarked as she glances up just in time to see an electrified shot coming everyone's way. "LOOK OUT!" Everyone swiftly hovers out of the way by taking to the air before it could hit and potentially stun them, and Tosukana retaliates by firing at Polka to distract him.
Tiiru shields their sibling. "We need to get you out of here, Shianbon! Dottobon!"
Dot hovers over. "Yes, Tiirubon?"
They place Shian on one of Spotted-Flitterbug's wings, where she proceeds to grab it. "Get Shian to safety! We'll take care of Polka and hopefully knock some sense into him!"
Dot nods. "Got it!"
"Guys WAIT!" Yelled Shian. "I know what's up with Porukabon! Look!" She points to his darkened biidama. "His biidama is almost black!"
The others gazed to his biidama, and sure enough, she's right! They can see dark energy swirling around in his main cannon's marble. "That's why he's acting like this!" Exclaimed Tiiru.
Tosukana gasps. "So he's not acting like this by his own will, whatever energy is in him is sending him on a vengeful rampage!"
"Wh-Who would make my brother act this way..?" Dot questioned somberly.
"We'll find out later, right now we need to focus on get Porukabon to snap out of it!" Shian proclaimed.
"I think healing him with a healing shot should work!" Tosukana shouts as he fires at Polka's biida shots to destroy them.
"But how do we even get close enough to heal him if he won't stop firing at us?!" Inquires Tiiru.
"I might have a plan!" Shian claimed.
Tiiru grunts as they fire at Polka's biida shots to assist Tosukana while hovering in front of Spotted-Flitterbug defensively. "Let's hear it!"
Shian discloses her plan of action. "He's after me, right? Use me as bait to have him think Dotto is helping me get away, and when he's distracted, BAM! You and Tucker dog pile him onto the ground before he could go after me, then one of you can hold onto him while the other fires a healing shot!"
Both Tiiru and Tosukana turn to towards her to object to her plan, Shian was already hurt, she shouldn't be putting herself at risk anymore than she already is, but they stop themselves and thought about it for a moment. Even though she would be potentially be putting herself and Dot in more danger, her plan... could actually work. Dot thought the same about her plan, even though she knew herself and Shian would be at risk, if it was the only way to get her brother to wake up from the state he's in, then she was willing to try.
"I'm aware of the potential danger in your plan if it fails, but if it may bring my brother out of this state, then I'm willing to try." Dot says with a gleam of determination in her eyes.
"As risky as that sounds, it just might work." Tosukana told her.
"For once, I'm with you on your plan, Shian." Affirmed Tiiru.
"Alright then, let's do it!" Shian proclaimed.
The plan was set in motion. As Polka fired more electrified shots at them, they all get out the way, Spotted-Flitterbug swiftly flies forward as Shian laid low and held onto the wing tightly, and dodges any oncoming shots with ease and it zooms passed Bolt-Striker in the opposite direction, now having Polka's focus on them. Shian looks back to taunt him, she catches her eye on something interesting hiding behind a conveniently large rock, but she'll address that later. "Hey dude! Betcha' can't catch me!"
Polka growls. "I WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY!" He was just about to chase after them, but he gets tackled by Tenacious-Tealer and Tuscan-Dragon, and crashes into the ground, knocking him into a daze for a moment.
Tosukana got off of him and went into position to get ready to heal his friend as Tiiru lifts Polka up and pins his metal arms behind his back. When he got over his daze and realized what was happening, Polka began screaming and tried flailing around wildly to try to escape Tiiru's grip. They tried their best to hold him in place for Tosukana to fire his healing shot. "I'm not able to hold him for long! Tucker, NOW!"
Tosukana charged up his shot. "Biida..." Then he shoots it while shouting "HEALING SHOOT!" It makes direct impact. Tiiru lets go of Polka as he shrieked.
Everyone braces their eyes as a bright flash of light envelops him, the light soon dies down along with Polka's screaming, before long, it completely clears, and Polka, no longer in mecha form, is out cold on the grass, and his biidama appears to be back to normal as it no longer has that dark energy swirling around in it. The kids cheer at their success. "We did it!"
Spotted-Flitterbug floats down near the knocked out Polka, Dot wanting to make sure her brother is okay. Shian carefully stood up on the wing and rests a hand on the shield. "Don't worry about him, Dotto, Porukabon's tough, he'll be fine! His biidama is back to normal, so whatever we got out of him just knocked him out." She tells her as she gives her a reassuring wink.
"...Yeah, you're right." Dot smiles a little. "Polka's strong. I know he'll wake up soon."
"Now that just leaves one question..." Everyone turns to Tosukana as he asks this question. "Whom could've made Porukabon turn evil?"
Shian turns her attention to the conveniently large rock nearby. "I think I might have an idea."
The Neo Musketeers barely peek from behind said large rock. "You don't think she knows, right?" Dandylion asks hushedly.
"I think she knows." Hades answered quietly.
"While hanging on to Spotted-Flitterbug, I saw something interesting hiding behind that rock over there while in the air." Shian points to the rock the Devil siblings are hiding behind.
"Oh she definitely knows." Lucifer murmurs.
"Tucker, Ti, I think you two should blow it up." Shian suggested.
"Oh f*ck! She totally knows! Grab everything and let's scram!" Lucifer whispered-yelled to his siblings as they hide back behind the rock, then scrabble gather their things, including the large popcorn bucket before they got exposed, but they weren't quick enough, the rock gets blown up, and they were exposed right before they could get to their aircraft nearby.
"THE NEO DEVIL TRIO?!" Tosukana, Tiiru, and Dot all call out simultaneously.
Dandylion sheepishly waves at them. "Uhh, he-hey, Jr. BiidaCops. Heh heh..."
"Of course! I should've you three would be behind this!" Tosukana yelled.
"Well, correct, we were just hiding behind a rock..." Hades quips while poking two fingers together, trying to play dumb.
"Don't play dumb with us!" Shian bellows as she points an accusatory finger at the trio. "You three are behind Porukabon turning evil and having him try to destroy me!"
"Hey! We had nothing to with Porukabon going nuts!" "Yeah, we were just minding our own business! It's not nice to point fingers at us just because we're the bad guys!" Lucifer and Hades retort respectively. Dandylion nods and decides to add to that. "That's right! How rude of you guys to accuse us of evillifying Porukabon! We don't even have some kind of dark energy ray to use to do such a thing!" There was a beat, then Dandylion covers where their mouth would be and mumbles. "Oopsie..."
Hades proceeds to bonk Dandylion on their head with a comically large mallet and scold them. "You doofus! Why did you have to get specific?! You shouldn't have said anything!"
"I didn't mean to! It just slipped out!" They cry out.
The group of four are now growling and glowering down at the trio. "Hey, guys, you know what I'm thinking..?" Lucifer asks his siblings.
"Yup." Both Dandylion and Hades reply.
All three scream out "RUN!", then book it to their aircraft. They barely make it there when Tuscan-Dragon and Tenacious-Tealer fire biida shots at them, then the following explosions send the trio and their aircraft blasting off. They three yell out "WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAAAAIN!" until they fly far enough to disappear in a *ting* star.

Polka groaned as his eye fluttered open, he then winces and rests a hand on his head while he uses the other one to help him sit up. "Uggh, my aching head..." He starts to rub his head.
"Porukabon, you're okay!" Dot calls out, relieved her brother is finally awake.
"Huh?" He turned to her. "Dotto? Ugh, what the heck happened, and why does my head feel like someone hit me in the head with a large mallet?"
Shian was the one to answer. "Those Devil dorks turned you evil or something and it made you want to try and kill me. One of the explosions from your attacks managed to graze my left leg."
Polka gazed to her as she spoke, then down to her bandaged leg, then looked aside to avoid eye-contact, it was obvious how he felt now that everything was coming back to him. "Oh... yeah... now I remember..."
It was silent for a second, until Tosukana hushedly calls Shian's name while giving her an expectant look. "Shianbon."
She sighed. "Dude, look, I..." She rubs the back of her head sheepishly. "I'm sorry about what I said earlier, I could've worded what I said better, but I didn't want to sugarcoat it. I just thought it'd be better to be honest than to lie, y'know? I didn't really think to take your feelings into account, so... again, sorry about that."
Polka quietly listened to what she had to say. He remained silent for a bit, then lets out a sigh, and shifts his gaze to her. "It's fine. I'll admit, I acted out of line. I never really had my heart broken like that, so I... didn't know how to properly handle that kinda feeling, so uh, I'm sorry too, and I'm sorry for hurting your leg and trying to destroy you."
"Dude, it's the Devil Dorks fault they made you do those things, don't even sweat about that." Shian states. "Let's just put this whole thing behind us and keep it between us and remain pals, alright?" She holds her hand out to help him up, as well as shake on it.
Polka smiled. "I couldn't agree more." He takes her hand and helps himself up,, shakes her hand once, then lets go. "If having a crush eventually ends up with me getting turned evil, then I'm not gonna crush on anyone for awhile." He joked.
Shian laughed a bit at that. "Sounds like a good idea."
"Oh, and Tucker." He turns to him. "I owe you an apology as well for snapping at you. You were only trying to help. I wasn't really thinking."
"It's alright, Polka. If anything, I should be the one apologizing to you." Tosukana reassured before rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "I started this whole fiasco in the first place. I got so caught up in trying to help you that I didn't really think about anything else, and if anything, I shouldn't have tried to resolve a situation that wasn't any of business."
"Right, you shouldn't have." Polka agreed.
Tosukana nods. "Yeah, but I have learned my lesson, to not stick my nose in other people's business without their consent, that, and I also learned today that I should definitely not take up a job as a matchmaker when I grow up."
Everyone laughs at Tosukana's joke, until Tiiru spots something in the sky approaching them, though it was too far to know what it is right away. "Hey guys, what's that?" They point out the oncoming object, prompting the others to look where they were pointing.
Polka squints and puts a hand above his eye to shield it the glare of the sun and to try to get a better look. "It looks like a bird."
"It looks more like a plane." Dot corrected.
"Wait, isn't that Sky-Soarer?" Tosukana questioned.
"Sorabon? He shows up now?? What the heck took him so long?" Shian remarked.
Sora (in mecha form) swoops in and makes a landing, then strikes a "heroic" pose. "Don't worry guys, your hero is here! Tucker said there is trouble! Where is it?!" Sora asks while surveying the area, ready for the potential battle.
"Uh, it's already been over with, dude." Shian answered.
"Yeah, you came too late." Tosukana added.
"Aw what? I missed out on the fun?! Aw man!" The mecha kicked up some dirt before slouching and looking towards the ground. "That's so lame!"
"What's "lame" is you being late. What the heck took you so long anyway?" Shian inquires.
"Uhhh." Sora turns away, trying to come up with a good lie. "I was..." He droned on "was" until a lightbulb appears above his head briefly as he came up with the perfect lie. "I was busy helping out my Dad with heroic matters! Yeah!"
"Right..." Shian muttered. None of the others looked like they believed him, but they can't prove he was lying, so they decide to let it slide.
After a brief pause, Sora decides to ask the fateful question. "What the heck happened anyway?"
Shian and Polka glance to eachother, then smirk as they get an idea, and glance back to Sora. "You wouldn't have wanted any part of it." Shian began.
"Yeah, a lot of mushy lovey-dovey romantic stuff happened." Polka finished
Sora grimaced. "Ewwww. Why did you call me for if it was gross stuff like that!? I told you romance is not my thing!" He paused for a second. "Don't tell me you're both boyfriend and girlfriend now."
Right after Sora asks that, they both hold hands and reply "Yes, yes we are." Tiiru, Tosukana, and Dot stare them, wondering what they're doing, and not catching to their mischievious plan right away. "What are you two-" Tiiru tries to ask, but gets shushed by the both of them.
Shian continued. "And we love eachother veeery much." She turns to Polka. "Isn't that right, Polky-kun?"
Polka turns to her and nods. "Oh of course, my beautiful starry-eyed beauty."
"Eeugh, yuck! I'm out of here! Call me when there is real trouble and not when anybody's acting romantic!" With that, Sora takes off and flies back in the direction he came from.
Once Sora was out of earshot, Polka and Shian burst out laughing. "Did you two seriously put on a show just to gross him out?" Tosukana inquired.
"Yeah." Polka chuckled.
"He deserved it for being late." Shian added, chuckling as well.
"Do you think he'll figure out you two were just messing around?" Dot asked.
Polka shrugged. "Meh, he'll find out when he finds out."
"Soooo... now what?" Tiiru asks.
There was silence until Polka answers. "Anybody down for ice cream?"
Shian and Tiiru's eyes light up. "Yeah!"
"After everything that went down, we could all use one." Stated Tosukana.
Dot nods in agreement. "I agree."
"Yeah, it could also help out with my lingering headache." Polka joked, getting a few laughs, then with that, the group began making their way to the nearest Ice Cream shop. Polka then turns to Shian as they're walking. "What do ya' want? You're order is on me."
"Porukabon." Shian chuckled as she playfully elbows him. "You know don't have to keep the charade up."
Polka feigned disappointment. "Aww." He then let out a little chuckle. "Heh, can't say I didn't try."
As much as Polka was fooling around, he was somewhat serious. Even after everything that went down, he still had a crush on Shian, though he feels it's best to try to keep his feelings for her platonic to avoid repeating that whole fiasco, besides, she does like somebody else after all, though he can't help but wonder: who is the biidaman that Shian has feelings for? Well, that's a question for another time.
Rushing through the halls of the mansion, Midori frantically checks every room in search of the scion. "Where'd he go?!" He shouts frantically. He only took his eyes off him for a few minutes to use the washroom. Why didn't he stay put?! Something bad could happen if he doesn't find the scion soon! He can't fail! Not again!
"Ah, there you are!" The green warrior cried out in relief as he spots the light-blue scion, Mizuirobon, in his room, staring down towards the dimly-lit city below from his balcony.
The rich biidaman sighs out of exasperation. Can he not get a moment of peace without this loud knight always looking for him? "Must you be so insistant in following me around?"
"Yes." Midori says sternly as he approached the curt scion. "I am your bodyguard after all. I have to keep my eyes on you at all times!"
"That doesn't mean you always have to follow my every move." Mizuiro responded rudely.
"It's my job to protect you no matter where you go. Something terrible could befall you if I'm not around!" The warrior claimed. "You shouldn't had wandered off!"
The scion rolled his eyes at this claim. As if something bad could happen to him while in the peace of his own home, he has well regarded guardsmen for security, they won't let anybody pass unless they request for Mizuiro for some business or other important matter. "Sure." He replied as he turned his gazed back to the city below, and some seconds later, Midori decided to do the same.
Some moments of silence pass as the two gazed around the scenery, then Midori breaks the ice. "This is quite a view." He says, trying to start a casual conversation.
"I suppose so. I usually come out here after a hard day," Mizuiro replied. "to either watch the city below, watch the sun set," He gazed upwards. "or look at the stars."
Midori gazed upwards as well, and watched the stars above him twinkle. What a pretty sight to see, it...began reminding him of old times. "Have you ever watched them with anyone? The stars I mean." He asks without turning to the scion.
Mizuiro was quiet for a second, he felt no reason to tell his bodyguard about his personal life, but at the same time, he... actually wouldn't mind having someone to talk to, may as well make the most of it. "I have, with my mother." He began without turning to his bodyguard. "With her always being away on business matters though, we have not done that for some time. Kajuubon occasionally does watch with me as well, but most of time he's preoccupied with other things around the mansion. I'll admit, on evenings or night on here alone, it... gets rather lonely."
Loneliness... That was something Midori was all too familiar with, maybe not entirely on the same vein as Mizuiro, but he understood how he feels, he lowered his head. The scion turns to him. "What about you? Have you watched them with anyone before now?"
The usually unshaken warrior tensed up at the question, being suddenly reminded of fond memories of times long gone once more, some of them slightly hurt to remember. "Midoribon? Is something the matter?" Asked the slightly concerned scion. It took the warrior a second to pull himself together to answer Mizuiro's question.
He turned to the scion. "Ah, sorry. I just... had to take a bit of time to think. To answer your question..." Midori stared back up towards the star-filled sky. "Aside from my own family, there was...one biidaman I used to watch them with."
"Oh?" Mizuiro raised a brow in interest. "May I ask what their name is? If you're okay with answering, that is."
Midori stands there silent for a bit. "Seruianbon..." He answered softly without turning to the scion.
Mizuiro tilts his head. "I'm sorry, who? I didn't quite hear."
"Seruianbon." Midori repeated, though a bit louder this time.
"Seruianbon... I don't believe I'm familiar with the name. Do you mind telling me more about him?" The light-blue biidaman was genuinely curious about who this "Seruianbon" is, which is odd, he's never curious about someone he's never heard of before, normally, he wouldn't care, yet for some reason, this time he couldn't help but wonder. Why is he like this now?
"Well..." The warrior glanced to him. "He was someone that was like a bo-- brother-- to me." He began to perk up a little. "He had my back whenever I did something foolish, and we would have a great time whenever we sparred. He was a strong warrior, but he was humble and had a heart of gold, as well as a bit of a goofball. He was just... great." His voice falters at the last sentence.
"He certainly does sound as great as you make him out to be. I hope he's doing well." Mizuiro notices the warrior turn away, and- did he just see some tears? Is he crying? "Oh no... Is he... not doing well?"
Midori doesn't respond, Mizuiro could hear him quietly sobbing, then it clicked for the scion: Midori kept saying "was," not "is," so the Seruianbon he's speaking of is... How did he not catch on sooner? "Oh gosh, I'm so sorry, Midoribon. I didn't intend to hurt you, I just didn't get the hint."
"It's..." He wipes his tears away. "It's fine, Mizuiro."
Mizuiro would normally correct others when they don't say his full name, but now isn't the time for that. "I'm positive that however Seruianbon went out, he went out valiantly." The warrior could only nod slowly in response, still looking away from the scion.
"I think I'm starting to understand why you're so protective of me, aside from it just being your job." Midori slightly glances to Mizuiro. "You missed having a companion, and you're afraid to lose that companionship again. Is that it?"
Midori glances away, and was silent for a bit, taking in the scion's words, then he turned to him. "Yes, it is."
The light-blue scion was taken by surprise at the warrior's answer. He actually considers him, someone who's been acting nothing but stuck-up to him, a companion? That filled him with a warm and fuzzy feeling Mizuiro couldn't explain. "You... consider me as a companion?" Midori nods. "But I've been acting like a posh snob to you."
Midori shrugs. "As stuck-up as you were, it's nice to have some company to talk to. Besides, who else am I going to tell my stories to? And it's not like you told me to stop."
He got him there. "Okay, I'll admit, as chatty as you may be, the stories you tell are quite intriguing, despite me always rolling my eyes whenever you opened your mouth, and I look forward to hearing them after having a rather mundane day."
Midori stares at him for a bit, then smiles, and chuckles. "Heh, good to know I do not annoy you that much!"
Mizuiro glances away, blushing lightly. "Don't push your luck." As serious as he meant that, he couldn't help but start smiling and let out a chuckle himself, something about seeing the knight smiling and laughing, just being happy when he's usually serious and has a constant angry glare, it brought the scion joy, something he hasn't felt for awhile.
"You know, Mizuiro," Midori began, making Mizuiro gaze back at the knight. "Hm?" "you do remind of Seruianbon in some ways." "Do I?" The knight nodded. "Except you are less of a goofball."
The scion stood straight and fidgits with his bowtie to center it and look proper. "Well I do have maintain professionalism when it comes to business and other important matters after all."
"And much shorter." Midori added teasingly.
Immediately, all of Mizuiro's "professionalism" went out the window upon hearing that and his cheeks turned redish. "Excuse you! I'll have you know my height is just about average for a biidaman like myself, thank you very much!"
A snort can be heard from the knight as he stifles a laugh. "Why are you laughing?!" Mizuiro shouted at Midori, which prompted the warrior to actually start laughing.
"Midoribon, this isn't funny!" Mizuiro yelled; he can feel himself beginning to grin a little. "Poking fun at my height i-is no- is no la-laughing..." He couldn't finish his sentence as he began to laugh along with the knight.
When the two eventually got over their merriment, they started some casual chatting, getting to know one another on a mutual level, before they knew it, it had gotten late, and the duo had to go rest in their respective quarters and prepare for whatever tomorrow brings. They wished eachother a good night before they went off to bed. Whatever the next day brings, one thing's for certain, the warrior and scion now look forward to spending the day with eachother, even if they may get under eachother's skin.
Parenting a child on your own has been the toughest challenge Midori has ever took on, but he has to do it, this is his child, this is his responsibility, and if he has to do it alone and be the only one involved, then so be it, no matter how tiring it can be. He hasn't really spoke to his husband since their fight regarding their child. After processing for sometime (around a month), Midori came to terms that he was a dad now, and was ready to accept the baby as his own, however, his husband Mizuiro refused to accept the baby was his despite the tests stating otherwise. They argued, it got bad, and it ended with Mizuiro stating 'he will absolutely not take care of a mistake Shiro and Kiiro made' before Midori stormed out on him.
Midori hasn't spoken to him since then. Whenever he tried to reach out, Midori will either leave him on read, or have someone else speak on his behalf, while Midori disliked leaving him hanging, and as much as he loved his husband, the sarge didn't want to talk to him until the childish scion gets his act together and step up to the plate.
Midori bounces the fussy infant on his lap in a vain effort to calm them down. Tiiru has been crying all morning, and no matter how many times Midori fed them, burped them, and changed their diapers, they wouldn't let up, he was exhausted, and he looked the part too, he hasn't gotten much sleep ever since he took on his parent role, guess that was one of the perks of being a dad. "C'mon, I fed you, burped you, and even changed you many times now. Why will you not stop crying..?"
The doorbell rang. A guest? He wasn't told there were going to be vistors. Good thing he wasn't the only one living in the base to answer the doors. "I'll get it!" Shiro shouts from the hallway. Whoever could that visitor be? As far as he knew, nobody was expecting guests, so Midori could only wonder who it could be, until Shiro came to the living room. "Midoribon, someone wants to see you."
Huh? Someone wishes to see him? Who could that be? He turned to glance at the doorway, and his tired eyes widen when he sees who it is: Mizuiro... Why is he here..? What's the reason..?
"Hey, hun." Mizuiro greets sheepishly. Midori slightly scowls at him, turns away, and holds the infant close to his chest, Tiiru, however, stops crying upon seeing the new guest, and gazes at them with wonder.
Seeing his husband giving him the cold shoulder saddened Mizuiro, but he understood why he was acting that way. He ushers Shiro away so he and Midori could talk one-on-one. He then walks over to the couch, and seats himself to the spot nearest to the sarge, Tiiru's eyes followed him the whole time he does so.
It was awkwardly quiet for a bit, Mizuiro tried to come up with the right words to say to his husband. When he saw how unkempt he looked, he remarked: "My goodness Midoribon, you've seen better days."
"Gee, thanks." The sarge responded sarcastically whilst still looking away.
The scion held a hand over his mouth (where it would be anyway) and quietly cursed to himself. He didn't mean for that comment to be the ice-breaker. The tired sarge turned to him. "Are you here just to tell me how bad I look?" He asks with attitude.
Mizuiro didn't like his husband's attitude, and would say as much, but given how exhausted he appeared, he isn't surprised that Midori would be cranky. He sighs. "No, that's not why I'm here."
"Then why are you here?" Midori inquires. "It can't be just because you missed me."
The scion looks aside, thinking about how to properly word what he needs to say, he was going to begin with how much he missed his husband, but after that comment, he couldn't. He sighs again. "While that is true, that's not the only reason I'm here, it's regarding the child." He paused. "I've... took a lot of time to think this over-"
"About another month..." Midori interrupted snidely.
"Shush. I don't have time for your rude behavior, Midoribon." Mizuiro responded harshly, then his eyes slightly widen, before his expression softens. "Oh dear... I apologize, I didn't mean-"
Midori stopped him and professed. "No, I should be the one apologizing. Please, continue with whatever you need to say."
"Right..." The light-blue biidaman shifted his gaze to the floor. "I took more time to think over this whole "suddenly having a child" situation, and I realized some things." He shifts his gaze to Midori. "I realized I acted very childishly. As you already know, I have never cared for a baby before, and had fear, as this is such a life-changing thing that happened so suddenly, I didn't know how to take it." He looks aside, guilt written on his face. "Despite this reason, it does not excuse how I behaved, what I said, and how I initially wanted nothing to do with the child just because of how they were brought into our universe..." Pause. "I don't want to lose you for not accepting our child, so I'm... willing to try to be involved in our little one's life, with you."
Hearing that filled Midori with so much warmth and joy that his eyes begin to well up with tears, it could his tiredness making him more emotional, but he didn't care in that moment, he was just so happy that his husband finally came around, he wasn't the only one to notice his tears forming. "Honey, are you okay?" Mizuiro asks.
"I-I'm fine. I'm just... s-so..." Midori unleashes the waterworks, his tears coming out of his eyes as if they were water-spouts, and sobs. "HAPPYYYYY-YYY-YYYYY!"
Mizuiro chuckles. "I'll go get you a couple tissues." He gets up, goes and grabs about three tissues, then sits back down and hands them to his emotional husband. "Here."
Midori manages to stop sobbing, but he was now all sniffles, and accepts the tissues with his free arm. "*sniffle* Thank you." He takes one, and uses it to wipe off the tears. "Sorry about that." He chuckled. "I think the lack of sleep made me more emotional."
Mizuiro let out a chuckle as well. "I figured as much. There's a baby here, yet you're the one crying like one." He teased.
"Hey!" Midori shouts playfully.
The scion lets out a laugh, before staring down at the tiny baby, whom seems like they haven't taken their attention off of him the whole time he's here. "What is the little one's name again?"
"Tiirubon." Answered Midori.
"Tiirubon..." Mizuiro repeated. "What a nice name. How suiting."
"Glad you think so, because Shirobon and Kiirobon kept calling him Shirobon Jr. and Kiirobon Jr.." Stated Midori.
Mizuiro snorts. "They can't be serious! Tiirubon barely has white and yellow on him!"
Midori laughed. "I know!"
They both begin laughing, their merriment soon died down when Tiiru began cooing, and their cooing was directed at Mizuiro. Midori smiled at the child and chuckled a little. "Heh, the little guy has been curious about you ever since you came in."
"I can tell. He hasn't taken his gaze off me once." Mizuiro says.
"He even stopped fussing once you arrived." Midori turned to his husband. "Why don't you hold him?"
Mizuiro's eyes widen. "H-Hold him? I-I really mustn't. What if he doesn't like me?"
"Mizu, he's clearly fascinated by you. He wants to get to know you, and that first step is you holding him." Insisted Midori
"Bu-But what if I drop him..?" Mizuiro stammered.
"We're on a couch, Mizuiro, even if you do accidentally drop him, he will not get hurt." Midori carefully holds out the infant to Mizuiro. "Please, Mizuiro, reassure me that you've really accepted Tiirubon as your kid."
Mizuiro stares at Midori, then at the baby in his arms, and he slowly and hesitantly holds his arms out. "O-Okay." He flinches once the child was gently placed into his arms, and starts shaking. Oh gosh, he's really doing this, despite Midori's reassurance, he still feared he'll somehow mess this up and hurt the baby.
He stops trembling when he felt Midori's hand on his outter-most arm, and gazes up at him. "You need help holding him correctly? Here, let me show you how." His husband helped him carefully positions his arms so the baby can be comfortable. "And you prop his head up like this so the little one's nice and cozy, and there you go! You're holding him!"
"Ah..." Mizuiro's eyes shimmered as he stared at the infant in his arms. He's doing it, he's really doing it, and Tiiru hasn't began crying, this was already turning out well. Having a closer look at the small child, he took note of their features, they looked like the perfect mix of both their parents, but their eyes... they were a lighter blue than Midori's, they reminded Mizuiro of his mother-in-law's, they were so pretty.
"Are you going to keep staring?" Chuckled Midori. "Introduce yourself to him, Mizu."
His husband speaking up snapped him to attention, and he glanced up at him for a second, then back at the baby. "Oh, ah, right, uhh..." He pauses for moment before introducing himself to the infant, which he thought was silly, considering that Tiirubon is much too young to understand him, but if it would make his husband happy... "Hello, uh, Tiirubon, I'm Mizuirobon, I'm your-, erm, other father-, er, dad. It's nice to meet you."
The baby stares up at him silently, they tilt their head a bit to the side, then smile and let out a little coo. "Aww, he does like you, Mizu!" Cajoled Midori. The sarge then notices something in Mizuiro's eyes. "Mi amor, are you crying?"
"Ah!" Mizuiro quickly wipes the tears away. "No! I'm just... tired is all!"
"Heh, YOU'RE tired? Have you forgotten how I look? Maybe you need a tissue." Joked Midori as he held out an unused tissue, before he laughs, and Mizuiro begins to laugh shortly after.
The next few years for the pair was an adventure to say the least. Parenting was a handful, but they worked through the difficulties that was parenthood together (when the servants were mostly busy). For every milestone Tiiru reached, Midori and Mizuiro were glad to be there when they happen, and they were especially glad to have eachother there to see their child grow-up.
