The Winter Writer (Part 2)
Azriel x Reader
GUESS WHO’S BACK!!!! I’m gonna be honest, I never thought I would get around to making a part 2. I’ve been lurking on tumblr for the past 3 years as a reader, not ever actually getting around to finish writing the one’s I started. But this fic has been getting SO much love recently due to many amazing readers who have shared my work on their “Azriel fics” posts, which might I add, IS THE BIGGEST COMPLIMENT EVER. I felt guilty having this fic up without having it completed, and as a VERY long time Wattpad, Tumblr, and Ao3 reader, I can say from experience how FRUSTRATING it is to YEARN for the next part of a fic and never getting it because the author decided to take on a new chapter of their own life. Anywayyyy, 3 years and 3 months later I’m back new and improved!! So please enjoy this part because I can’t tell you how long it will be until the next one lol. I wrote this in one sitting and it’s no where near perfect, but enjoy!!
Summary: One day Mor brings her best friend to the house of wind for game night with the inner circle. Azriel takes immediate interest, as well as Nesta, Feyre, and Gwyn when they find out she's the author to their favorite smutty romances.
Warnings: Teensy bit smutty (I didn’t mean to, but I was writing with no plan and that’s just what came to my head, oops!)
Notes: Little fun fact, I’ve only ever read Part 1 once… and that was when I first posted it 3 years ago. I finally reread it (which was kind of an awful experience to read my own work lol) and am finally here to give you the part 2 you’ve all been waiting for!!
Part 1 Part 2
**************************************
Mor helps you get settled into one of the guest rooms. Strategically opting to put you in the one directly across the hall from Azriel’s room. Never mind that there was one directly across from her own room on the opposite wing of the house—a fact that she felt unnecessary to mention to you.
The room was stunning. A four poster bed complete with chiffon drapery as a canopy. The bed, much too large for one person, was covered in the fluffiest and softest pillows and blankets you had ever felt. You could not wait to crawl into it and pass out, needing to give your body adequate rest before you braved training in the morning.
Despite that fact, your mind was wide awake, too many thoughts and feelings swirling around from the chaotic evening.
A cup of tea would be nice, you thought to yourself. Everyone would be a sleep by this point, so you had no worries of running into anyone.
Gently grabbing your satin robe to slip over your rather scandalous nightgown—courtesy of Mor, of course. You grabbed a fae light and began to make your way out of your room.
Pausing momentarily as you grabbed the door handle to leave, you remembered that Azriel’s room was directly across from you.
What was he doing in there? You pondered. Was he sleeping? Reading? Was he bathing? You stopped you thoughts and mentally slapped yourself.
“Gods Y/n get a hold of yourself and stop picturing him naked!” You whispered as you scolded yourself. That didn’t stop the blush from rising to your cheeks and the heat from pooling deep in your belly.
Water droplets cascading down his chest before getting caught in the deep grooves of his abs. You bit your lip and closed your eyes. His large veiny hands lathering soap along his body. You audibly sighed. His corded forearms pulsing as they pumped his-
Wait. What the fuck.
Your eyes shot open as you realized where your mind had just drifted. “You insatiable little slut!” You whisper yelled at yourself as you began pacing the floor in your room. “You met him once! ONCE! And this is how you’re behaving?” You couldn’t help it, something deep inside of you yearned for him.
You stopped abruptly, closing your eyes and taking a deep breath before collecting yourself. You grab the handle, pull open the door, and step out into the hallway. Just a little tea to quiet your mind and you would be set.
Your bare feet pad through the long hallway until they reach the parlor where you had all gathered that evening. Huh? The fire was still roaring, which was odd as there was no longer anyone awake to have need for it.
“The girls were right.” Your breath catches and you stiffen visibly. “I must say, these really are quite the novels.”
Your head whips towards the sound of the voice as all blood rushes to your face. “Azriel.”
“Y/n.” He mutters. Voice deep and gravely and utterly mind numbing.
You don’t say more. Eyes locked on those of the male who lounges gracefully in the large arm chair by the fire. His eyes are dark, pupils blown wide in a way you only see in a male who’s starved. His hair is messed, nothing like it had been during your interactions earlier in the night. It looked like his hand had run through it a few too many times, causing the dark strands to mislay. You’d be lying if you said it didn’t remind you of freshly fucked hair.
Your eyes drifted down, landing on the mouth that was curved into a knowing smirk. Further, down to his chest—his bare chest. More heat pooled between your legs and you made sure to keep a tight grip on the glamour that prevented him from scenting it.
His legs that were kicked up on the table before him caused his gray trousers to hang dangerously low on his hips, though his v-line was unfortunately out of sight because of the book on his the lap.
The book. Your book. You felt the points of your ears redden.
Taking a few more step into the sitting area, you get a closer look at Azriel, who’s gaze rises to stay locked on your eyes the more you approach. “What are you doing?” You manage to voice. Cursing yourself at how breathy and desperate it sounds.
“I like to read before bed,” His smirk widens. “I find that it helps me sleep better.”
You hum, unconvinced. “I highly doubt that my novels are the kind that can put a person to sleep.” You boldly take a seat on the coffee table so that you’re facing him at eye level.
He kicks his feet off the table to make room for you to sit. Opting to sit up fully, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees. The two of you are much closer now, and you’re able to see the ring of gold framing his blown out pupils.
“Maybe not,” he shrugs, looking away. “But it sure does set up for some activities that do.” His eyes snap back to yours to gage your reaction to his comment, expecting you to blush or stutter in response.
You do neither, much to his satisfaction.
You throw your head back in laughter and Azriel swears it’s the most extraordinary thing he has ever seen. “That is precisely the goal of my writing.” You smile wide.
“I’m impressed.” He smiles in return, eyes making their way back to the page he was on. “Are your little—what does Nesta call them? Smutty scenes?—based off of personal experience? Or are they all just fantasies?”
That, however, does make you choke a bit. You cough and then smile sheepishly at him. “No one’s ever asked me that before.”
He glances back up. “Please don’t answer if you don’t feel comfortably.” Though, he really hopes you do. He doesn’t like the thought that another male has affected you in ways that are described descriptively in the book.
“Oh no no, it doesn’t make me uncomfortable at all!” You move to grab the book he’s holding so you can reference what scene he’s reading. You blush once you see the exact book he’s chosen. “The short answer is no. They aren’t personal experiences.”
You aren’t able to look at him now that you know the book he had chosen and the scene he had read.
“And the long answer?” He asks curiously. Relieved to hear that you hadn’t been the princess in the novel that was tied up and fucked by 4 of the prisoners kept in your father’s prison. But—per the scene in the novel—if you wanted to be forced to orgasm so many times that you passed out from the pleasure then he would be first to volunteer.
“My magic isn’t like traditional winter court magic,” You begin and Azriel stares deeply into your eyes. “I’m able to feel emotions and make others feel them as well.”
“Like an empath?” Azriel offers. He’d never met one of those before as their powers were often kept hidden since they were so sought after.
“In a way, yes. Except I’m able to feel emotions on a much deeper level than that.” You try to explain, but it’s hard to do so without the other person feeling it.
“I’m not sure what you mean.” Azriel’s brows furrow.
“Can I show you?” You hold your breath. Azriel nods. You release it. “It’s rather intimate.” You supply, giving him another chance to back out.
“Good.” You eyes flick to his and your cheeks warm.
Good? Does he feel the same attraction that you feel?
You smile lightly and reach out to grab his hands. He instantly takes yours in return, warmth traveling through his whole bodily at the feeling of your skin on his.
“I’m going to read your emotions and tell you what I feel, okay?” You squeeze his hands and he nods in response.
You close your eyes and reach in to the well of power at your core. Feeling your power extend outwards to the male in front of you.
The first thing you feel instantly has you gasping and pressing your thighs together.
“What?” Azriel presses. “What do you feel?”
“Desire.” You choke out. Azriel rips his hands from yours.
Raw, heavily, hungry desire. Pulsing through every bone in your body. You have to calm and situate yourself before opening your eyes again.
“I am so sorry, Y/n.” Wait, what?
Azriel is starring at you when your eyes meet his again. Guilt plaguing his features. “I thought by emotions you meant joy, anger, sadness, emotions like those—”
“Az—” you start.
“—not desire.” He finished his sentence. “I feel like I’ve taken advantage of you.” His tone drops, you can feel the waves of guilt and shame coming off of him.
“Azriel.” You grab his hands back and force him to look at you. “I promise you did not take advantage of me, it’d be rather hypocritical of me to think that.” You smirk lightly and his confusion hits you next.
“I can make others feel my feelings too, remember?” He nods. You keep your eyes open this time as you release your power. Instead of feeling his emotions, you push you own feelings onto him. Desire.
Azriel groans and his eyes flutter shut. “Y/n.” He whispers.
“I’m right here, love.” You respond as your thumb strokes his hand. “Do you want to know the deeper part of my power?”
“Please.”
You push your power deeper. The thing about your magic is that you can create the physical feelings of emotions. So rather than a general feeling of desire in the mind, you can make someone feel it in the body. “This is what I’m feeling,” you whisper as your magic hits him.
He lets out an opened mouth groan as he closes his eyes and his head hits the back of the chair. He can feel the ache between your legs as if it was his own. His balls tighten and his dick hardens as a result. All of a sudden you’re being hoisted off the coffee table and placed on Azriel’s lap.
“What are you doing to me?” He looks into your eyes as you lower your body onto his lap, onto his clothed hardness. His hands squeeze your hips as he fights not to rock you back and forth.
“I’m not doing anything anymore,” You whisper against his lips, “everything you’re feeling now is your own.”
His lips crash against yours as his hips drive up to meet your core. You whimper as you kiss him back. Desperation clawing at the both of you. Your hands run through his hair and scratch at his scalp, eliciting a dirty sound from the back of his throat.
You pull away to meet his eyes and as you do a promenant snap fills your chest. Love and desire blossom throughout your whole body in a way you’ve never felt before—in a way that has nothing to do with your magic. Bringing your hand up to his forehead you brush away the strand of hair that had fallen in his eyes. “Do you feel that?” You whisper with a wide smile. One that he returns in utter astonishment.
“My mate.” He murmurs, tears of happiness gathering along his water line, “My perfect mate.”
He cups your face and stares at you with such love and adoration that you have a hard time breathing steadily. His lips meet yours softly in a way the exudes love. Much unlike the desire that was burning only moments ago.
And so you stay like that. Sat upon his lap gazing into each others eyes as you talk about anything and everything. As your eyes begin to grow heavy, Azriel lifts you up and carries to his own bedroom.
Much like the bed in your room, Azriel’s bed is far too big for one person. But when Azriel lays you down and crawls under the covers with you, arms and wings wrapped around you like a protective cocoon, you think about how perfect of a fit it is.
