9. What inspired you to write your first fic?

It was the first COVID lockdown and I had nothing but free time and GG S3 was in the first few eps and I was craving a stuck-together fic for Brio where they had to just talk about it all. Thus Thirty Pieces of Silver was born.

10. Why do you continue writing fics?

It's become a beloved hobby and huge creative outlet for me and a way to, now the show has finished, keep that feeling of glee and anticipation and I dunno......newness?.....about my ship. It's one of my fave ways to create content and interact with the fandom as well. And i've noticed that the appetite for fics is still so strong too. Which is lovely!

treasure; what was something that made you smile today?

One of my friends sent me a picture of his baby daughter, and she is too precious for words! I cannot wait to see him, we've only been friends for a few months now, but I care about him and he's one of the few people who can read me like an open book ( normally that would scare me, but I trust him).

wispy; do you like the place where you grew up? do you think you will live there when you get older?

Yes, I liked the city, but at the same time I always felt like an outsider. I wouldn't live there even if you would pay me, I wouldn't feel safe and I would have to hide the fact that I'm bisexual.

thimble; is there somebody you look up to? who are they?

My middle sibling, because I know that it wasn't easy for them at all to discover that they're genderfluid! and bisexual! and asexual! And it just fills my heart with joy to know that they know themselves so well and I couldn't be any prouder of them.

010. top three favourite fic tropes. i guess since this is a writing ask it's about my favorite tropes to write! i'm never sure what counts as a trope or not, so bear with me—i tend to write a lot of angst with a happy ending fics bc i'm not personally big on fluff. i also like writing friends to lovers fics. and laaaaast, i'm kind of a sucker for the big moment when someone is injured or hurt and it causes the other person to have a realization (it's happened a couple times in my fics lol)

021. can you accurately predict how long your fics are going to be? if you can, what’s your secret? not at the start? but if, say, i've started writing it and i have a sense of the scenes i need to write i can usually get an approximate estimate based on the average length of my scenes. like, say my scenes are averaging out to 2k and i know the fic will be 15 scenes total, i can assume the fic will probably land somewhere around 30k—not exact, bc some scenes will be longer and others shorter, but a good guess.

when i was writing finding our way (back home) i had an outline for 49 scenes (though a handful were for very BRIEF asides) and my scenes were averaging out to around 1.8k, so i could estimate that the fic was going to be around 85k. when i finished my first draft the fic was 86k, so i think i did a pretty good job!! (though then with editing and adding some additional scenes it increased to 91k)
