Warrior of Whisperclan under Hollystar and Oakstar. Became mates with Blacknight from Smokeclan and had four kits. She kept two, Windstorm and Morningdew, giving two to Blacknight, Raventail and Cloudbelly. She died in a battle of the Rogue War. Her father was a well known brave deputy of Whisperclan and left a legacy for her to try to achieve.

Brother to Foxstorm, medicine cat of Whisperclan. Succeeded by Sparrowsong. Known for being lazy, a very background character type.

I’m sorry you’re so upset, Anon D:

My issue was, I really, really like the body-part only suffixes. I just do. I love them. I think it’s because I tend to be a nit-picky person at times; my family has even accused me of being borderline OCD when it comes to things. And so it sort of irritates me with things in nature (-stream, -storm) are bunched with body parts (-whisker, -claw). I was like a clam with a grain of sand; eventually I had to turn that into a pearl that I could love and that wouldn’t nag at me.

So, I made my own suffix list, with only body parts. Some were easy to convert (-flower to -belly, -stream to -leg). Others were harder, like -storm.

I remember a submission on my askfoxstorm blog talking about how they had -feather denote a cat who was an apprentice when they received an injury that could equal a name-change, and instead of a full name-change, they could take -feather to represent their sacrifice, and this has historical ties with a tradition of burying a feather with a fallen cat.

So I thought– that’s cool! And I realized perhaps I could link some body part to -storm via a similar method. So -throat became my replacement for -storm due to two figures of speech that accurately fit -storm behavior: ‘going in bare/open throat/throat-first’ - i.e. being reckless/impetuous, and ‘up to your throat’, basically biting off more you can chew, jumping right in, etc. The later behavior definitely fits Foxstorm, now Foxthroat’s attitude of making everyone else’s business hers and getting into tricky situations.

So that’s why this has happened, Anon.

Oooh, interesting choice! But you’re right, I do have some qualities I share with her! c:
