Watched Jurassic World Dominion today :D

This movie is just two hours of cool action pieces and found family content flavored with anticapitalist agenda and i couldn't be happier. It's just dumb fun in the best way possible.

After the dinosaurs scaped that weird mansion in the last movie there has been a global scale trafficking operation with the dinos. Also everyone wants to know where the fuck is our clone girl.

As previously stated the action pieces are fucking phenomenal. This movie is ruled by the rule of cool and dinosaurs are inherently cool so there was really no way for this movie to be bad.

At times the movie is also hysterical? The whole plot thread following the trio of old characters is really funny. They just get in a lot of trouble and cheesy adventures. Not like the new characters plot which follow a more modern mission impossible/007 kind of vibes. But with dinosaurs!

A warning though: there's a whole plot about pre historical grasshoppers so if you're afraid of insects be careful. I sure am and that shit scared the shit out of me multiple times!!!

Also the clone girl, starlord and the girl from black mirror nosedive make a really cute found family dynamic. The movie is definitely worth the watch.

Watched Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness today

Twitter (being the toxic site it is) has bad opinions left and right about this movie and let me tell you: that's the real madness!! I just think people put way too much expectations on fucking mcu movies. Guys that shit ain't cinema y'know...

I've always thought magic in the MCU was boring and uncreative (the orange shield variants get old rather quickly). The magic in this movie tho for my surprise isn't boring AT ALL. With the exception of the scarlet witch herself which still does red blasts red fire and everything red🥴

I really liked America, a character who will be important from now on. Her relationship with Strange was really cute and I loved how both her arc and Stephen's arc complete each other.

Wanda also had a lot to do in this movie. And I'm SO GLAD she went full on megalomaniac villain in this one. Homegirl holds no punches as lives are taken unceremoniously by her red chaos. She has become the scarlet witch at last and as such presents a huge threat to whoever is on her path. Her goal is simple: she is a childless mother with access to infinite versions of her kids.

Characters aside the vibe of the movie was amazing. Raimi draws a lot from the horror genre and it shows. We have jumps cares, screaming shots, stalker pov, etc. My favorite horror moment was when Wanda dream walked into the mind of variant Wanda. That shit was scary!!

And talking about magic again: magic in this movie is not only creative but super weird. Sometimes the movies goes fucking bonkers and does the weirdest stuff. It's fascinating. I really want to see the movie again (hello torrent) but the moment that stuck with me the most in the first viewing was the musical fight Stephen had with himself. It was just so out of the box, unlike anything ever seem in the MCU before. It felt magical.

Lastly I think the movie is just dumb fun! I couldn't help but grin like a child when Stephen dream walked into the corpse. The movie has a lot of moments like that. It's super corny if you think about it, but if you free yourself from stupid cringe culture you are allowed to enjoy all the crazy stuff going on. I definitely think it's worth the watch.
