I used to have a post for my FOOL'S PARADISE (FP) MC, but it's deleted because I #hated it... </3 So... guess who got a replacement?

Ambrose acts charismatic and outgoing but always crashes into the bed the moment he’s not surrounded by adoring fans. They like to appear easy-going and forgiving… Keyword: appear. Ambrose used to enjoy the life of an idol when he was younger, but the thrill of it has since worn off. If there's one thing they can’t stand, it’s boredom. Don’t get him wrong—he loves the fame, the attention, all of it… Most of it. The point is—his relationship with idol life is complicated. He much more prefers to lead by his own path than what was set out for him.
Synopsis: You’re supposed to see Ambrose as the charismatic, irresistible main vocalist of the idol group DAY☆DREAMERS. The group is a male idol group that produces large hit songs. It’s hard not to know who Ambrose is if you’re even somewhat entangled in the music scene. As the natural-born leader, Ambrose is what all aspiring idols want to be. He’s cool, famous, and perfect.
…Which doesn’t explain his sudden disappearance. Why did they vanish? Not even his bandmates have the answer. And management’s not happy with this scandal. Burdened by his life of being an idol, he’s accepted the invitation of joining FOOL’S PARADISE, hoping no one followed him. Thankfully—albeit surprisingly—no one has recognized them. Maybe it’s better that way though…
Romantic Pair?: Tempest?? idk this is in the works bro
OPINIONS ON...
Fools Paradise Cast (The Dome-people, if you will.)
Noel: “I don’t know why he of all people are here; he seems the most well-adjusted… Then again, I don’t have much room to talk, do I?” Friendly towards Noel.
Mona: “She keeps teasing me… Though she's not the worst. It’s been a while since I’ve seen someone truly passionate about their art.” Feels curious towards Mona.
Mary: “... She’s something, alright. Honestly? I actually don’t mind her. She’s the realest one here; I can trust her not to sugarcoat what needs to be said.” Sees her with respect.
Tempest: “...” The interviewee only made a grimacing face, which only intensified each time Tempest was brought up. "Look, I—don’t hate him. He just… reminds me of someone.”
Sorin: “I… Don’t get it. What’s with the roleplay? I just. Don’t see the point in it. But to each their own. I guess.” Feels confused about Sorin.
Vein: “How can someone even have so much energy? She’s a bit intimidating… it’s hard to keep up.” Feels fatigued with Vein.
[CARSON]: “Carson’s trying his best; I’d be at my wits' end too if I had to deal with all the chaos. She’s one of the more tolerable ones around here.” Feels understanding towards Carson.
Drew: “Not much to say; he’s not a dickhead, so I don’t hate the guy. We just don’t talk much.” Feels indifferent towards Drew.
Maraeve: “... I don’t mind her nagging, actually. She reminds me of the aunties from when I went to church. It’s bittersweet, almost.” Feels nostalgic towards Maraeve.
Khana: “... Eh? Heard he was important. Haven’t met him yet. Though I’ve heard from Carson…” The interviewee murmured something under their breath and didn’t repeat it. Seems to be intrigued by Khana.
Bandmates
Kieran: “He keeps getting on my ass about management. I wish he’d shut up already.” Shows extreme disdain towards this band member.
Rei: “... I think he’s just sad about me and Kieran fighting all the time. Our band wasn’t always like this, so... it’s understandable.” … Is that guilt he’s showing?
Asmel: “Nowadays Asmel feels like a ghost… I wonder if he’s doing alright. Then again, he’s probably doing better than any of us.” Seems to feel sombre about their relationship.
???
Haneul: Interviewee refuses to speak of, think of, or hear of the person.
WHATS THAT BACKSTORY ?
Story time!! Things of note: - Usage of Ambrose's full name (Han Dae-Seong) - Mentions of alcohol/substance abuse, and mental illness/health. Feel free to skip if needed! - Not all of his backstory is revealed in this script
Dae-Seong was born into an impoverished family. His name was meant to mean success—something his parents wished he would grow up as. Though he never had much, he was grateful for what he had. More importantly—they had their best friend, Kieran. He wasn’t from Korea as he was but had instead moved to his town long ago. Still, that was never important to him.
He used to play with Kieran by the river all the time, trying to find out where the water ran—creating so many outlandish theories for something so simple. One day, a man approached them by the river. He didn’t look like he was from the village but, rather, from the city. The man sat with the boys, asked them questions, and told them about city life. Eventually he offered them the chance to go to the city. He promised that they would live great lives of fame and wealth.
That offer sounded like a dream to Dae-Seong, who just wanted to give their parents a good life. Though they wanted their son to focus on studies, they couldn’t deny the excitement on his face. They signed the papers for him, unaware of what it would entail. The process was arduous, but still, Dae-Seong and Kieran had each other. They were auditioners and trainees. Before debuting at ages fifteen and sixteen, respectively. Before he knew it, he was given the stage name Ambrose and became the lead vocalist of the DAY☆DREAMERS group. He used to love the life when he was younger. Not only had they met two new friends from the group (Rei and Asmel), but they were finally able to support their parents.
That’s how it was for a while. Ambrose still remembers the interviews, explaining his story—his goals, dreams, and more. Talking about how he and Kieran were through it all together. But his fame only grew more demanding when he grew up. Fans always wanted more, and managers pushed him harder and harder. He was just… tired. So, so tired.
It was stupid how people saw him as an entertainer rather than an artist. But he couldn’t leave; how could he? Their parents had no one else to support them, not to mention where they would go. Where could he go? He’s in his mid 20s, and yet he’s never had a proper education. Being good at singing and dancing doesn’t get you jobs. More importantly, it’s not like he’ll let him leave.
His personality soured, though he tried keeping up appearances—his face sunk in when fans weren’t around. They did what they tried to in order to cope, but nothing ever worked. Only a cigarette could temporarily take the edge off. He wasn’t the only one affected—the band started to fall apart. Kieran and Ambrose argued more—about their substance abuse, about their disappearances. Rei became quieter, less energetic, and… Asmel didn’t change—he only tried to fix everything. The band was doomed from the start.
… And now he’s gone. Off to a fool’s paradise, no doubt.
That’s where he belonged in the beginning.
EXTRA COMMENTS!!
⟡ He doesn’t have a role—nor does he feel like he fits in yet. They try to help out where they can, though.
⟡ They have bipolar disorder (type I); they're supposed to be medicated... though they have a habit of forgetting to take them.
⟡ Has a rough relationship with their bandmates.
⟡ At least he doesn’t outright hate them, though, unlike his management…
⟡ Known for having quite the scandals—primarily with their dismissive behaviour. They’re known for disappearing for days or months at a time when they want to get away from work.
⟡ He’s had multiple escapades before joining Fool’s Paradise… though… this time it may be more permanent.
⟡ Smokes often; he tries to hide the smoky scent with perfume—but he just ends up smelling of both smoke and vanilla…
⟡ They have their own merch line that includes makeup, perfumes, etc. Anything you would expect in an idol merch line.
⟡ Has a habit of smothering his cigarettes against his clothes or arms—ends up having to cover up his burn scars with makeup.
⟡ Is embarrassingly out of touch with the poor… He has so much money that not only does he not know what to do with it—he just… doesn’t care about it all too much.
⟡ His old name was Han Dae-Seong; he’s fine with his name. Though he only allows those closest—like his bandmates—to call him that. Most won’t even know his real name.
⟡ Speaks Korean and English and is still trying to learn German.
⟡ Whenever he looks into the mirror, he just sees himself as a shadowy—swirly—liquidy mass… No, I'm not explaining that. No, don’t ask how he does his makeup and care routine; he just does it, and it just works, alright?
⟡ Ambrose’s idol group isn’t necessarily a K-pop group. It’s more of an international group.
⟡ His fans tend to idolize, infantilize, or sexualize him. Worst case it’s all three... Does not have a good relationship with his fanbase.
⟡ His band represents the stages of grief. Denial (Kieran), Anger (Ambrose), Bargaining (Amsel), and Depression (Rei). Acceptance is left out on purpose.
Oh wait did you... read all of this? Yippee!! For now this will be all, but you might see more post about him later... (This post may be subject to change)
