You know what gene I feel like could be so great if not for one little thing that somewhat ruins it for me?

Contour.

The way it cuts over the tops of the arms and legs just… uuugh. It clashes with the pattern of the primary underneath so bad sometimes. But it’s such a good gene in every other way… if the pattern just went down the sides of the limbs instead it’d be 1000x better imo

GASP Pings - Some Personal Stats

I was inspired to just look at some GASP pings and their frequencies after the new update. I just felt like I was getting bombarded and decided to make some graphs to help with that feeling. I wish I had stats for before the update, but these are all the GASP pings I got after the update (April 20-May 20 2024).

I'm subscribed to 95% of the breeds so I should have a roughly accurate count of what other general GASP customers get on a regular basis.

I got 294 GASP pings, minus the repeated mispings. This only happened only 5 times where 4 people pinged twice, and one person pinged three times. That's not a bad statistics where repeat pings are only a once a week issue.

GASP "artist" were a total of 239 pings while reseller GASP pings were 55 pings. That means I got pinged by resellers 1 in 5 pings.

The most GASP pings I've gotten was 26 in one day on April 29th. Which is reasonable since it was the second day of fest. Most people used to ping on Sunday, but the culture must have shifted to Monday to wait out the rush ahahah. This just in, you can certainly ping on Saturday instead!

If we look at GASP times of day, we can see it' mainly follows the's most active from 8:00 to 16:00 FR which is a solid 8 hour time frame. The least activity comes from the 0:00-8:00 FR zone.

If someone kept a tally of GASP pings before the update came out, how does this compare? For people sending out GASP pings, maybe consider a Thursday/Friday ping for less competition. The Saturday before fest week is also pretty quiet but that might also mean less people are willing to buy skins because they are holding off for fest.

As I sit here writing

The more I delve into certain “good” (by D&D alignment chart) countries in the Forgotten Realms, the more I come across systemic, sexist discrimination against women and a level of prosperity that exists solely (or majorly) at the expense of another ethnic/racial group.

Whereas the evil guys always seem to have at least one high-ranking, female advisor or officer whom they listen to with the same amount of respect as they do their male advisors. In fact, there doesn’t seem to be much - if any - gender-based discrimination and they always bring different groups together for mutual benefit and prosperity.

I think these two things need to switch, or I’m going to continue to find FR villains more sympathetic than the heroes.

Y'know whats one feature I wish Flight Rising had? A way to see a progeny for a pair with genes that they don't currently have.

For example: How good will my progenitors' hatchlings look once my progenitors have all their genes? They may be basic xxx but I wanna know what their kids will look like when fully gened.

how was i not already following you what the heck! anyway hiii! thank you for saying what you said....i think i'm just struggling with, like, the timing of it, everything was fine when we were hanging out a few weeks ago and then it was a little off for no reason and then it was "i'm taking an indefinite break" so i'm just like "???? what happened though?" y'know? x____x but people aren't owed answers, so, i guess i just have to wait things out....tell me why you don't like gene-ing dragons! i don't mind the basic look but i defintely gotta gene em. and i've always been fascinated by UMA collectors, i could never afford them but getting back on the site and having disposable income for gems, i've been eyeballing some accents like "okay okay, i get it" xD

It does feel a bit like a blindside if they didn't give any warning, I hope your friend is doing okay irl :< Something startling or new must have came up. All you can do is wonder and that's okay because it will be a fleeting memory soon!

As for the geneing, I like buying dragons out of the box, fully formed, Athena style. If I gene a dragon, I feel like I would be obligated to keep them even if I no longer like them because it represented so much work orz. When I get a UMA I prowl the AH for the perfect dragon for it, but if I don't like them down the line, I can switch the dragon or the UMA to refresh the look :D - Not that I do it much though!! I have old dragons that have only ever worn one UMA!

You're richer than you think! A UMA accent is 500g while a skin is usually 850g, if you save up the money for a secondary or tertiary gem scroll 1200g, you've already got enough to buy two UMAs! If you fully gene a dragon with gem scrolls that would be around 6kg, enough for 12 accents already :0 So in my eyes, collecting UMAs is way cheaper than geneing up a dragon. I'm fully free to play, only spent my time, so I really like my collection even if it could be considered small compared to others!

Are you a dragon gener? I think your WC pfp is so nice with the halo, UMA and has the vibes of a very fancy shmancy gen 1 !! Any dragons you want to show off??

Ughhh

I been grinding out fod for WvI battle this week and I was going so strong, until like two days ago 😭 I got burnt out and hit with a terrible headache that's lasted like 24 hours now. Totally behind on my goals this week but hopefully I can get back on the saddle...
