5k run!
No, it was not a race. Unless you mean against myself. Then yes, it was a race against Time.
3.16 mi // 5.09 km
32'10"
5.89 mph // 9.49 kph
10'10" per mi // 6'19" per km
fastest mile: 10'17"
5k time: 31'45"
SO MUCH DATA THIS IS AWESOME
Whooo YEAH. I kept my pace pretty even throughout (the first mile was very nearly sub-10' until I took a walk break at 9'. :P) with the help of the watch. I kept an eye on my heart rate and tried not to go over 180. (I did, though the average was 177!) It tells me I stopped for 0'09" while I got some water at a fountain.
I feel like this was my best run ever.
I was going faster than I normally do (I had vowed to get in a 5k distance some point this week, and since this was the last day...), and I had waited for Erin and Teagen to go running but then they bailed so maybe that gave me a bit of fuel.
My cadence was a bit lower than normal, but my strides a bit longer as I leaned forward a bit more. My calves were feeling sore around mile 2, but I think I adjusted something and it got better. I stretched them out pretty well after, though, so they shouldn't be so bad tomorrow. (Monday's run made them all sorts of sore on Tuesday. I learned on Wednesday, and I kept at it on Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday.)
Best run ever? It's a top contender, if it's not. :D
HOORAY
Things to add: push-ups and pull-ups EVERY DAY. I need to work on this.
(Also, I need to drink a lot more water.)
(Steak on flat bread from Subway is good.)
(Also, Twix bars.)
(File under: wordy, scatter-brained, and way too many asides at the end of a post.)
(I should make that last one a tag thing.)
(Done.)
