3. How do they position themselves in a group? Do they like to be the center of attention, or do they hang back at the edges of a crowd? 21. What kind of relationships do they tend to intentionally seek out versus actually cultivate? What kind of social contact do they prefer, and why? 29. What kind of activities, interests, and hobbies do they have? What significance and impact do these have in their lives, both positive and negative?
3. Chanai has a preference to be on the outskirt's edges of a crowd. Crowds aren’t his thing. He deals with it only when he has to, and if he does so willingly for the sake of someone else please know that he loves you with every fiber of his being.
Being the center of attention, however... That is a love-hate relationship in itself. He likes attention. Loves it, even. But not in a way where he must thrust himself into the throng of it. Mead drunk Chanai loves the drunken cheer of his good throwing arm and sharp aim in a game of throwing knives darts whilst the wine drunk version of himself lives to be the focus for pure, sensually sultry fixations. Sober, Chanai finds ease blending on the edges in a bubble for few.
21. For someone that has been tunnel-visioned from the time he decided to take his occupation seriously, all that he met were in hopes of making a reputation, gaining clientele that, hopefully, would seek him out often. Relationships of any form weren’t -- still aren’t, to a degree -- something he actively seeks. As far as he had been concerned with the mindspace he once had, it was better to be alone.
Time has taught him that the best ones are always the ones that happen when he doesn’t expect it. The people he has met and left an impression on him have been good for him, pushed him. Challenged him. Helped him confront traumas of his own, whether they know so or not. The friends he has cultivated, albeit so small, mean so much to him... He may not have never known what family is like, but he’d say this was it, if not close. In a romantic sense, he is... well. Romantic relationships make him squeamish. At least, they did. once. Short-lived flings and affairs are his norm. So rarely does he actually connect in soul, heart, and mind alignment in that manner with another. One or other were perfectly unperfect fits, a bond that still makes Chanai soft and care. He will love them no matter time, distance, lifetime.
But his heart had always been heartbreakingly in love for a man he thought he’d never see again.
29. A few of Chanai’s hobbies are taking care of potted plants and flowers, painting, photography and learning how to play piano. But also, he loves collecting items he thinks are cute or fits his aesthetic and anything moogle stuffed plush-related. This is also his secret that very few know. There is only one man alive (maybe two) that is aware and has not let him live it down.
He would say this leaves a positive impact on him because it reels in his flared temper. Finally having an apartment where he can decorate as he pleases leaves him a great room to unwind with ease and keep him more than distracted.
