Camelli'a being already classified as a certified freak of nature means that when the Scions learn about her unorthodox, symbiotic contract with a Voidsent named Mundus they aren't nearly as shocked or horrified as they probably should be. By all accounts he is just as gluttonous and vain as any other creature from the Void - the difference being that he insists he is even MORE gluttonous and vain, thank you very much, and he would like to continue being the best at what he does for the foreseeable future. Formerly a man who ran an enterprise of innovative merchant networks and a passion for fashion, Mundus retained his sense of self out of sheer spite of the idea of losing his individuality, something that before the Flood of Darkness was very much part of his borderline cult leader bravado. Now constantly starving for aether, he finds a respite in the body of a young Miqo'te girl whose wellspring of the stuff is nearly bottomless, and the two strike a pact in her adolescence that he would become her weapon while she became his carrier. Little did he know that this would evolve into becoming her nanny, her tutor, and in time her closest companion. He's still a greedy coward at heart but there's enough room in there for a little watermelon cat, he supposes.
