The castle halls were quiet and lit up by the silver moonlight. You were walking back to your room after a long day of work when you happened to look out a big window.
High up in the sky, a single star was twinkling super brightly.
Your heart skipped a beat. It immediately made you think of Louter.
It had been such a long time since you last saw him, and living so far away from his kingdom felt extra lonely tonight.
Suddenly, you got a great idea.
'A letter! I need to write him a letter right now.' You thought to yourself and without hesitating, you spun around and rushed down the hallway, your boots clicking against the floor as you ran to your room.
To say your room was a mess would be putting it nicely. There were papers, notes, and chores scattered absolutely everywhere. You basically dived into the pile, tossing stuff around to find a clean sheet of paper.
When you finally found one, the real struggle began.
You sat at your desk with your pen ready, and completely froze.
You were honestly terrible at writing letters. You just stared at the blank page, trying to think of something to say that didn't sound super awkward.
Hours flew by.
When you were finally done, you held up the paper proudly, but then you started to second-guess yourself. You felt rather embarassed.
Louterstella was amazing with words and wrote beautiful poetry. And here you were, sending him this totally basic, amateur letter.
For a second, you almost crumpled it up to throw it away.
But you shook your head and cleared your mind. The letter didnt need to be perfect, you just hope that the written words will reach him.
Taking a deep breath, you held the paper in your hands. You closed your eyes and used a bit of magic.
A soft light glowed around the page, and it folded itself up until it turned into a tiny, glowing golden star resting in your palms.
With a smile, you ran out onto your balcony. The night wind blew against your face as you lifted your hands and tossed the star into the air.
It shot up into the sky like a real shooting star, flying straight toward the Little Twin Stars's kingdom. You watched it go, crossing your fingers and hoping he’d like the surprise.
Far away, everything was totally peaceful.
Louterstella and Klarkstella were sitting outside on a balcony, drinking tea and looking at the stars. The steam from their tea mixed with the glowing golden aura that always floated around the twin knights.
Louter took a sip of his tea, his eyes looking up at the sky. He felt completely relaxed and loved the quiet moment. Next to him, Klark looked cool and calm, but his face softened whenever he looked at his older brother.
"The stars are really bright tonight, Klark." Louter said in his usual gentle voice.
"They are." Klark replied softly, his tone warm and nice. He reached over to pour more tea into Louter's cup. "It's a perfect night for this. I'm glad we—"
Klark stopped mid-sentence. His sharp eyes caught something moving fast.
A bright golden light was zooming through the sky, flying straight at their balcony!
"Louter, watch out!" Klark's cool attitude completely vanished. He instantly jumped in front of his older brother, ready to block or attack whatever danger was coming at them.
Louter blinked in surprise, peeking over Klark's tall shoulder. "Wait, Klark... look at it."
The shooting star didn't crash. As it reached the balcony, it slowed down. It didn't feel dangerous at all; instead, it felt warm and familiar. The tiny star floated right past Klark, who lowered his guard. It playfully circled around Louter's pink hair before landing softly right in his open hand.
"What is that?" Klark muttered, still watching it closely but keeping his voice gentle. "A message?"
Poof.
With a little spark of magic, the golden light disappeared. The star changed back into a slightly wrinkled, folded piece of paper.
Louter stared at it. He recognized the handwriting on the front instantly. He mumbled outloud. "[Name]...?"
He carefully opened the paper, his hands shaking a little bit.
It wasn't a fancy poem. It didn't have complicated words or perfect writing.
It was just a simple, sweet note from you; saying you missed him, asking how he was doing, and letting him know you hadn't forgotten about him.
As Louter read it, his face turned completely bright pink, matching his hair.
A huge, goofy smile spread across his face.
The quiet worry he usually had, the scary thought that time would make people forget him, completely went away.
You hadn't forgotten him. You were thinking about him.
"What does it say?" Klark asked gently. He stepped closer, looking over his brother's shoulder. He saw the messy writing and smiled a little bit. "Hmph. Their handwriting is as crazy as always. It's definitely not as fancy as your poetry, Louter."
"Klark, stop." Louter stammered, getting super flustered. He quickly hugged the letter tight against his chest to hide it from his brother's teasing. "It's... it's wonderful. It's perfect."
Klark let out a soft sigh, looking really fond and happy for his brother. He patted Louter on the shoulder. "If it makes you this happy, I guess it's fine. I'm glad they wrote to you."
Louter could barely hear him because his heart was beating so loud. He looked back down at the paper, gently touching your name that was signed at the end.
He was already blushing like crazy, his mind racing. He needed to write back immediately.
He wanted to find the best paper and write a poem beautiful enough to match how happy he felt.
He knew right then that he would keep your simple letter safe for the rest of his life.
ᯓ★Note: Who would have thought I would write this in a couple of hours? I mean this took me 2h or something beacuse i was overthinking my grammar... BUT SRS, I should start on conitnuing on requests Lmao.
