What was the last story you heard in the kitchen?? *eyes emoji*
it was a few months ago, when covid had giving us some breathing room and i went to a friend’s house with two other friends. one of these friends is recently single, his (now ex) husband fucked him over beyond words, and we were all supposed to cheer him up with good food and good alcohol
then he and i were in the kitchen making drinks and he was telling me how he missed making out, and i was all me too bud. BUT THEN he turns and tells me that he’s been meeting guys on grindr, going for hookup dates where they’d have sex - without kissing TO BE SAFE FROM COVID - and he’d schedule (he used that word) two or three on the same day because he was avoiding going outside much
when i tell you i downed that vodka.............
Hi Orange! Thank you for writing the Holiday Inn, what a treat! Your descriptions are just enough to get point across while leaving space for imagination. Made me feel so warm and cozy. The way you write Anya is marvelous. Loving her tough love. Carefully making a friend a latte with a sprinkle of cinnamon, placing it at the desk and telling a friend to fuck off and take it? Spot on. Those two gay disasters you've conjured up in your writing are perfectly splendid. Happy new year!
Hi, the demon Lexa fic??? CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE! The dynamic. I'm all in on this! Delight, really! <3
Thank you so much! For reading and the kind words 😭🥺💕
Also trying to get some more done on the CoA epoligue for anyone who cares, I know I just left y'all hanging and I see the comments to update. I promise, it's not abandoned, I've just had nothing but demon Lexa on the brain 🥴 but I'm trying to redirect a bit
You must have quite a lot of stories to tell. Do you have any time for yourself? What do you do in your free time? Hope you don't mind me asking. And thank you for answering!
np! i’m guessing you have an interest in medicine? so if my answer can help in any way i’m v glad!
ooo that’s the thing, like. be prepared to have less and less time for yourself, for creative endeavors, for friends, for family… there’s an incredible amount of studying to do, plus the time you spend working and observing at the hospital. the 2nd and 3rd year are pretty chill, at least in france, but from 4th year onward it’s a loooot of cramming.
in my free time i draw and play video games and watch bad horror movies
Tough, but rewarding huh? Noble thing to help people. I was curious on your point of view. Also, was the decision to go to the med school something you wanted for a long time or a sudden decision?
yeah not only rewarding, but also learning and seeing and living crazy situations you never thought you could. if you’re the kind of person who gets bored easily like me, well you’re never bored working at the hospital.
it was kind of a last minute decision for me. but that’s the exception to the rule, most of us choose it by vocation and have known it was what they wanted for a while.
List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the ask box for the last 10 people who reblogged something from you! Learn to know your mutual and followers! :)
Oh no I am very much bad at this, but since it is you I am gonna answer it
No particular order
My dog Miňo makes me very happy he does make my day especially I had a bad one comes to comfort me and maybe fart a little bit in my presence
Friends who never fail to make me laugh and cheer me when I feel like utter trash and always are ready for my ideas (not always great ones but sometimes fun ones)
My fam especially my sister bc she is the ironic little satan that she is but in a good way
Art - Music, Video games, written text, pictures, videos, and everything you can imagine under the word art
Nature - sometimes you are just standing and waiting for a bus when small droplet lands on your nose and that delicate sensation just makes you smile

Nah, I totally get what you mean. Sure, I can understand a one-off “ladies be in charge now, take cover!” joke, but sounds like they’ve done a whole thing out of it. :/ Also, shittalking your S/O is not cool.

This is one big *sighs into eternity* setting. It just makes me sad when I see couples talking abt each other behind their backs. And the men vs women… [insert an eyeroll]. I feel ya. Hang in there Eef!

wow that really suuuckksss, it’s a real bummer that that kinda thinking is not only tolerated but encouraged by fellow work mates. Would be nice once in a while to not have this “man vs woman” mentality.

oh goodness, that seriously sucks. like, it doesn’t magically become not sexism because you’re laughing about it, but people are so ready to make it a competition about which gender is worse, and when you say anything you’re suddenly unable to take a joke. Also, spouses who belittle their partners in public utterly suck and I hate that it’s encouraged. Sorry you’re having to deal with this crap :(
Thanks everyone! Sometimes I just really need to hear that stuff like this isn’t ‘just Eef being overly sensitive again’. It’s so frustrating. I genuinely hope to find a workplace someday where I’m not alone in this.
