though generally beloved and seen as an icon, she often gets the ditzy treatment, or only seen as a character who can do no wrong, also her judaism is often erased or glossed over

Annie Edison (Community)

Annie suffers from fandom misogyny in addition to having her jew identity reduced to "she doesn't really celebrate Christmas"- most of the discourse about her revolves around her being a love intrest to the MC,even though she is cool and funny in her own right

Both in her show and in fandom spaces her Judaism is exclusively used as a joke, if it is considered at all! Craaaaazy tokenism of what is actually a well written (and well acted!!!) character if people use their brains

Chapter 3/6: The Stall (Almost): Maxwell, quickly realising that loving and losing her would still be better than never having her at all, asks Fran out on their first date. What he didn't anticipate was that he would be dating Yetta. And that Elton John would drop out of his show. Of all the handsy things the pair had been getting up to, what neither of them anticipated was that all they really wanted was to hold onto each other and not let go.

With Fran reaching out and Maxwell refusing to allow her closer than arm's length, where do they even go from here?
