francis had been keeping up to date with whatever new things were popular, courtesy of francisca. he didn’t particularly care for this period of time’s popular media, but he allowed francisca to humor him, letting her select whatever movie she enjoyed and pretending to enjoy it for its duration. francis had kept his complaints quiet, muttering under his breath every couple of minutes as his arm stayed draped around her shoulders. he had leaned in to whisper again until he heard her soft snores, instead changing course to mute the television, fond smile tugging on his lips as he looks over at her, studying her features. his mind slips into a more lonely place as she drifts off, thoughts moving back to the past and to the future. francis is thinking of people of his past and the potential people of the future now - and how absolutely nothing would measure up to this - as ordinary as the moment could seem to anyone else, to francis it was everything.
