I visit your inbox with a humble request (lol): The warfare men having cute ice cream dates with their respective partners. They can go out, they can stay home, the ice cream date can occur after an argument (used as a way to make up), one of the men could meet their future partner after bumping into them by accident on the beach, making them drop their ice cream and then buying them another one to replace it, etc.
Or whatever you want 😆

a/n: you have no idea how much i love this request! also if you want me to ever expand on any of these blurbs, i’ll be happy to! also, i do mention downtown san diego in this since i have done research that navy seals are stationed at the naval amphibious base which is on coronado island, in san diego. also, another thing is that i mention a phone, but to be more specific it’s a flip phone. lastly, i wanna say thanks to @auroralightsthesky for proof reading this for me!🫶🏻
Erik: You recently told Erik that you got the job position that you always wanted. He was beyond happy for you. He knew how much you wanted the job position, so you getting it meant so much to him. Since you got the job position, Erik wanted to celebrate. So, you and him went out for ice cream.
“I still can’t believe that I got the job position. I feel like I'm dreaming, and I didn't get it, but I did,” you said excitedly after you took a bite of your ice cream.
“I'm so proud of you, baby. You deserve it so much.”
You smiled at what Erik said. It made you so happy that your boyfriend was so proud of you. He has been your number one supporter through everything.
“Thank you, baby. That means a lot to me.”
You and Erik continued eating the ice cream that you two got and just enjoyed each other’s company and talked about whatever came across your guy's minds, and more about your job position and when you officially start the job. The two of you couldn’t ask for a better moment than this.
Tommy: Tommy got done with some training late. It wasn’t supposed to happen, but it did. And he felt bad about it since he promised that he would be home around six. But now, it’s a little past nine, and he’s finally heading back home to you. He knew that you were gonna be upset about him coming home sorta late, so he thought that he would stop by the store to buy some ice cream to make it up to you.
Tommy bought your favorite flavor of ice cream and exited the store and headed back to his car.
When Tommy arrived back at your shared apartment, he was hoping that you were still awake. He didn't want you to go to bed upset since he got home later than he expected. Luckily though, when he walked into the apartment, he saw that you were fully awake, and you were loading the dishwasher with dirty dishes.
“Here let me finish it up,” Tommy said as he came up behind you.
You just decided to give in and have Tommy finish up the rest.
“I'm sorry that the training exercise went longer than I expected,” Tommy said as he bent over to put a dirty plate into the dishwasher. “Also I know that you’re probably upset about that since I promised I would be home around six, so I bought your favorite ice cream on the way home from work,” he said as he stood back upright. “I hope that makes you feel a little bit better about the situation.”
You couldn’t really stay upset at Tommy. It wasn't his fault that he had to stay longer at base for work. Things happen. You nodded your head, “It does make me feel better. Plus, it’s not your fault that you had to stay longer for work,” you reassured him.
“Are you sure?” he asked as he closed the dishwasher after he put the last of the dirty dishes in. “Because I feel bad for breaking my promise to you.”
“Tommy,” you said as you placed both of your hands on each cheek of his. “Yes, I'm sure.”
He just nodded his head.
“So, about that ice cream you bought?” you signaled Tommy that you wanted some.
“I never thought you would have asked,” he smiled.
You and Tommy spent the rest of the night just eating ice cream and talking about how his training went. These are the moments that you and Tommy love the most. Ones that you’ll cherish forever.
Elliott: It was a simple understanding, that ended up in a small argument. Elliott didn’t mean it to happen, but sadly it did. The argument resulted in you getting upset, and Elliott beating himself over it. He never liked seeing you upset, so he thought he would make it up to you, by you two going out for ice cream.
“Am I still in the dog house with you or am I forgiven?” Elliott asked you as you two sat down at one of the tables that were outside of the ice cream shop.
You quietly laughed and looked down at your ice cream when you sat across from Elliott at the table. You looked back at him, “You are forgiven,” you said.
Elliott sighed in relief, “Good because I don't think I could have gone another minute without you talking to me.”
You thought what Elliott said was cute. If it was the other way around, you probably wouldn’t be able to go so long without talking to him. Granted, the small argument between you and Elliott, you are glad that he decided to make it up to you and apologize about it before you two went out to get ice cream.
Ray: You and Ray went out for dinner. You had dinner at a fancy steakhouse located in the downtown area of San Diego. The food was good and you two both enjoyed it. You two were both planning on going back to the restaurant eventually.
When you two exited the restaurant, you decided to walk down the streets of downtown. It wasn't too cold outside since it was early summer, so it was the perfect weather to walk.
While you two were walking, you saw an ice cream shop on the other side of the street.
“Let's go across the street and get ice cream,” you suggested to Ray.
“Okay,” he nodded his head.
You and Ray safely crossed the street. When you two stepped into the ice cream shop. There weren't so many people inside, which was surprising since it was a Saturday night, but that wasn’t a problem or anything like that.
You and Ray both were looking at all of the flavors. There were so many that you could choose from. You weren’t sure if you should go ahead and try a new flavor or get the same one that you always get when you go out for ice cream.
“Should I try a new flavor? Or just stick with what I usually get?” you asked Ray. You wanted his opinion since you couldn’t make up your mind.
“Try a new flavor,” he chose. “You can never go wrong with trying a new flavor.”
“What flavor should I get then?” you asked your boyfriend.
“You should try cake batter. I heard that it’s really good,” Ray suggested.
“Cake batter, it is.”
You ordered cake butter flavored while Ray decided to order strawberry cheesecake.
After Ray paid for yours and his ice cream. You two found a bench right outside of the ice cream shop, sat down, and enjoyed your ice cream and enjoyed being with each other. You couldn’t ask for a better way to end the night with your boyfriend.
Frank: “Let’s go out for ice cream,” you suggested. You two weren’t doing that much, besides just hanging around inside your shared apartment. Plus, you thought it would be a good thing to get out for a while. So, that’s what you and Frank did.
The ice cream shop was a very popular spot. It wasn’t too far from the base and from your shared apartment. Also, it’s a frequent space that you and Frank visit too.
“Did you get what you always get?” Frank asked you after he paid for yours and his ice cream.
“Of course I did. You can never go wrong with chocolate chip cookie dough,” you smiled. “What about you? Did you get what you usually get?”
“Nope,” Frank shook his head. “I decided to get coffee flavored instead.”
You furrowed your eyebrows slightly, “How can you eat coffee flavored ice cream? I love coffee, but I can't picture myself eating it.”
Frank just shrugged his shoulders, “You’re missing out.”
“No, I don't think so,” you shook your head. Afterward, you couldn’t help but laugh at what you said. You love to bully Frank (in a loving way though.)
“You’re so funny, you know that,” he said to you.
“I know, but you love me,” you teased.
“You’re right about that,” Frank said proudly.
You smiled at Frank's response. Frank was never afraid to show his feelings how he feels about you, and that’s one of the many reasons why you love him.
Sam: Sam didn’t mean it to happen. He didn’t mean to accidentally bump into you and knock your ice cream out of your hands. He wasn’t paying attention to where he was going, and he took full responsibility for that.
“Oh my gosh. I'm very sorry. I should have been paying attention,” Sam said as he was helping you clean up the ice cream mess.
“No, you’re fine. Please don’t worry about it. I can always go back in and buy another one. It’s no problem,” you reassured him.
“No, please. Let me buy it for you," Sam offered.
“Are you sure?” you asked him.
“Yes, I'm sure.”
So, that’s what Sam did. He went back into the ice cream for you and bought you another one.
“Here you go,” Sam said as he walked out of the ice cream shop and handed a new cone of ice cream to you.
“Is there any way that I can return the favor? So then we can be even,” you asked when you took the ice cream from Sam.
“Maybe I could get your number? So then we can go out and get dinner, "Sam suggested without any hesitation in his voice.
When Sam said that, you felt butterflies form in your stomach. You couldn't believe that he wanted your number so then you could plan on going out to dinner with each other.
“Of course,” you happily accepted.
You and Sam both exchanged numbers.
“I'll see you sometime soon,” Sam said as he put his phone back in his pocket.
“See you sometime soon,” you smiled.
You and Sam parted ways. As you did, you had a huge smile on your face. You still can’t believe that you got asked out on a dinner date. You have a feeling that it’s gonna turn out right. And you can't wait to see Sam again. The same goes for him, he can't wait to see you again.

use of ‘good girl’ ⸝⸝ public indecency ⸝⸝ oral (m) receiving ⸝⸝
𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤’𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐩 & 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐨𝐟𝐟
Frank’s hands gripped the tops of your thighs tighter than necessary. warm calloused palms, fingers half tensed beneath the hem of your skirt where it’d rode up too high for decency. you hadn’t bothered pulling it back down. the fire crackled beside the two of you, your weight sat heavy over his lap, just enough movement in your hips every now and then to make sure he didn’t forget exactly where you were.
you turned your head slowly when he kissed your cheek, his beard stubble scratching against your skin. he smelled like woodsmoke and beer, skin glowy from sitting too close to the fire for too long, and his voice when he murmured “Can’t get comfortable?” came out low, like he already knew the answer
his eyes were different in firelight, deeper, not as blue as they were in daylight. his hair, usually in a neat comb over, was a mess, some loose hairs falling over his brow, he was put to ease by the long evening and the drinks passed around. now it was just the two of you keeping each other warm
you didn’t answer him with words. instead, you shifted again, hips moving forward just barely, the seat of your panties sliding right against the hardened ridge beneath the front of his jeans. his breath caught, a sharp inhale through his nose as his thighs flexed beneath you
his fingers gripped a little tighter, kneading softly just above your knees, then moving upward. you felt the tension in his hands and the way he held himself too stiff, too careful
Frank was trying very hard to be good, but you weren’t.
you let your head fall back onto his shoulder, your cheek brushing his as you whispered “Mm, maybe if you warmed me up more…” you felt him grow impossibly harder beneath you, cock straining against the denim. he groaned into your neck “Fuck”
behind you, the fire cracked again. someone muttered in their sleep, Elliott probably, then fell quiet. only the occasional clink of a bottle or rustle of a jacket as the wind picked up
Frank’s breath deepened against your neck, warm exhales over your skin. his stubble grazed along your jaw as he kissed down, lips dragging in a trail. he didn’t rush, never did when he wanted to savor you. his mouth paused at the curve where your neck met your shoulder, sucking softly, tongue smoothing over the mark as you tilted your head to give him more space
his hands, rough and hot, as they massaged your thighs in lazy circles, then they moved, slow up your sides, the edges of his palms brushing your ribs until they settled over your waist. his thumbs pressed into your tummy, then his hands found your breasts
he cupped them, his palms perfectly around the shape of them, thumbs grazing over your nipples even through your top, and you gasped, breath catching as his fingers began to knead slow, the kind that made your thighs press together out of instinct. he felt it
“Look how soft” Frank murmured, like he was speaking more to himself than you, like he couldn’t believe you were this soft, this warm, this willing. his thumbs circled your nipples again, coaxing them into peaks
your thighs rubbed together again, breath shallowing, your body arching slightly into his touch
“Frank…” you breathed, voice more of a plea than saying his name, your hand catching one of his and dragging it back down, not forcefully, just enough to tell him where you needed him now. not in between, but just resting over your thigh
but he understood, of course he did.
the weight of his palm settled back over your thigh, his fingers flexing once before you parted your legs, just enough, thighs shifting open under his hand. your skirt bunched up slightly, giving him room. and that was all it took. he squeezed the inside of your thigh, fingertips dragging upward slowly
his hand slid under your skirt, fingers running up your inner thigh. you sucked in a breath as he neared the edge of your panties, his thumb brushing the seam first, knuckle grazing the crease between your thigh
then his finger found your panties.
you could feel the way you were already aching through the cotton, the way your clit had begun to peek, begging for attention. Frank ran his finger up and down the soft fabric, slow at first, then with more pressure, dragging it just over your clit again and again. the sensation made you twitch, your hands gripping his thighs from below
“fuck” he murmured against your ear “you’re fucking burnin’ through these.”
then he pressed his finger in harder, not enough to move the fabric aside, but enough that you could feel the pressure flattening over your clit. you whined, hips lifting ever so slightly, chasing more. but the cotton wouldn’t give, his finger pushed down, you pushed up
he groaned, his finger circled again, this time slower, pressing harder, then lifting just barely, just enough to drive you crazy with how close and how far he was. “your pussy’s begging for me.”
you whimpered again, softer this time, and he chuckled low in his throat
his free hand came up, skimming under your shirt, warm fingers moving over your ribs, then back to your breast. he kneaded it again, a little rougher now, pinching your nipple gently through the fabric and earning another helpless little moan from you
but that teasing finger between your legs kept working up and down, each pass slicker than the last. and every time he pressed just a bit harder, dragging the cotton tighter over your swollen clit, rubbing in without quite touching it directly
“you're begging and you haven’t even said a word.”
you squirmed, hips rolling instinctively, searching for friction
his hand stopped suddenly
“say it.”
you blinked, breath caught in your throat
“say what you want.” his voice was sharp now, serious “say it, or I’ll keep teasing you”
he pushed down again, firmer, finger rubbing right over your clit through the soaked cotton. but still, just fabric between you
“Say it” he said again, and this time his teeth grazed your ear “tell me you want my fingers on your pussy. tell me how bad you need it.”
his hand flexed again, squeezing the inside of your thigh, the pressure of his other hand against your pussy. you could barely think
“Frank” you whispered, voice hoarse, throat tight with how badly you needed him “please. I need you to move my panties. I need your fingers in me. not through it. please.”
he let out a breath. and then he did
with one slow drag, his finger hooked under the soaked edge of your panties and pulled them aside. the air kissed your bare pussy, and he groaned at the sight. your slick folds glistening in the firelight, your clit flushed and waiting. he didn’t tease now. his finger ran straight through your mess, from your entrance to clit, finally finally giving you what you begged for
“Fuck, baby… yeah” he breathed, watching the way you shuddered under his touch “there’s my good girl.”
and when his fingertip circled your clit bare now, no more fabric between, your whole body clenched, a choked whimper escaping your lips “Ahh fuck”
he smiled into your neck, lips pressing one more kiss beneath your ear, and then his fingers began to move
two thick fingers sliding deep into your slick, the stretch of them filling you just enough to keep your thighs twitching with every pump. his palm stayed flush against you, while his thumb worked tight little circles over your clit. he knew your body like it belonged to him, and it did, and he reminded you of that every second his fingers fucked into you
“listen to that” he rasped behind your ear, his voice trembling just enough to betray how hard he was beneath you “you hear that?”
you did. the wet sound of his fingers going in and out of your soaked pussy mixing with the crackle of the fire
and if anyone woke up now? If Elliott stirred from his drunken snore a few feet away, if Erik lifted his head and turned just slightly?
they’d see everything.
your skirt was bunched up over your hips, Frank’s fingers buried knuckle deep in your pussy, his other arm wrapped around your body to hold you flush against his chest while your legs fell open across his lap. your panties were barely hooked to the side now, sticky and useless. you were spread and needy and absolutely wet, squirming like a needy little thing on his fingers while the fire’s light caught over the curves of your body and the glisten between your thighs
maybe it should have terrified you. but instead your pussy clenched tighter, grinding down into his palm
Frank felt it. “Dirty girl” he groaned, a crooked smirk in his voice as he thrust harder, faster, his fingers curling inside you just right “Getting off on the idea of someone seeing you like this? you want them to wake up? want Elliott to look over and see my girl fucking herself on my hand?”
you moaned too loud. a breathy whimper that escaped before you could catch it, your body shifting in his lap as you tried to muffle it with your hand
bit it was too late.
Frank’s hand was already over your mouth, big and warm and rough, his palm pressing down with just enough force to muffle the next choked cry that left you when he fucked his fingers harder. “Shhh” he whispered, lips against your temple “you’re going to wake them up.”
you could feel how hard he was now. his cock straining painfully beneath you, pressed tight under his jeans. you moved back against him helplessly, back arching as your pussy clenched around his fingers. every thrust of his hand had your ass pressing into him, and he groaned each time
“so wet. fuck, I could take these fingers out and slide right in, right now, right here.”
the thought of it made your pussy clench again, your moans coming faster now, muffled but high pitched, sweet and broken. his thumb never stopped circling your clit, faster now, harder, dragging every twitch out of your body. the pressure inside you built up fast
you whimpered into his hand “Mmhhnn”
Frank’s mouth found your ear again “That’s it baby. let go. get my fingers soaked so I can feel it all over my cock when you’re sucking me off.”
your pussy clenched hard, and then it hit you
you finished with a full body tremor, legs shaking, mouth crying out into his hand, your entire body spasming as Frank’s fingers kept pumping through your orgasm, fucking the wet out of you until it was dripping down onto his palm and soaking his jeans “Thaaat’s my girl” he groaned, fucking you through it like he owned you, and he did. “So good for me. fucking mess.”
your breathing was uneven, face flushed and lips parted under his palm, and he finally lifted his hand away from your mouth, letting you gasp fresh air
but you could still feel it
his cock.
hard, twitching under you, trapped behind his jeans and the sticky mess of your pussy wet through your panties and onto his thigh
you turned your head toward him, dazed but still wanting more
“Frank… you’re hard.” breathed
he laughed, voice hoarse “yeah, don’t think I’m letting you off that easy.”
your lips curved into a little smile
you slid off his lap without another word, down to your knees on the hard dirt ground, between his legs, skirt still hiked, panties still to the side. your breath was still shallow as you looked up at him and reached for his belt. his eyes were half lidded, mouth parted, his hand flexing once on his thigh as you undid the buckle
“Good girl” he murmured “you going to take care of me now?”
you pulled down the zipper and freed him, his cock springing up from the denim and his boxers, tall and flushed and already leaking. you wrapped one hand around the base, gave him a slow pump, and leaned forward, licking the tip just enough to make him grunt
then you took him in your mouth. slow, deep, messy, your tongue flattening against the underside, your lips sealing around the head, the taste of salt and precum on your tongue. Frank’s hand immediately tangled in your hair, his fingers threading through and gripping tight as he groaned, head dropping back
“That’s it baby… fuuuuck…”
the fire cracked behind you, casting light across the filthy scene. his cock stretching your mouth, your eyes locked on his, tongue sliding around his shaft with slow strokes. his hips bucked up once, gently, letting you take more, and you did, moaning around him as your hand pumped what your mouth couldn’t take
every time you moaned, he twitched. every time your tongue swirled around the head, he groaned
you were still wet down your thighs, your pussy exposed to the night air, still pulsing, but now it was about him
you sucked him slow and deep, messy and warm, and you didn’t stop even as the wind rustled the trees and a bottle clinked somewhere behind you. you didn’t stop even when his thighs tensed and his hand tightened in your hair and his hips started to jerk because you knew how this ended. with Frank’s cock buried down your throat, his voice cracking your name, and your mouth filled with everything he’d been holding back earlier
wrote this while thinking of that scene where he hip thrusting into the air and idk him calling u a good girl 🤏
lt. derrick “mac” macdonald (warfare) x tattoo artist gf!reader, harper x frank
word count: 900+
summary: Hijacked Michael Gandolfini Character Bingo: Fake Dating | On a night out, Harper has a bright idea to divert some unwanted attention.
warnings: you and harper pretend to date
notes: Thanks to Wheels for this idea LMAO. Another fic starring my girl, Harpy. I hope you enjoy! I’ve read this over a few times but feel free to let me know if there are any mistakes.
The bar smells just like cheap beer and whatever cologne the guy two stools down clearly bathed in instead of applying like a normal human being. The bass is thumping just a little too hard around you and Harper is already on her third drink. She’s leaning into you like you’re the only one keeping her upright.
“You are.” She slurs just a little, looking up at you with her big brown eyes. “the hottest tattoo artist in a five mile radius.”
You roll your eyes and smile, sipping your drink. “Not true.”
“I have eyes.” She laughs. “And standards! Low ones, but still.” She jokes and holds her drink up to yours. “To surviving another day of, ‘I want something small’ and then pulling up a full back piece.”
“And hearing that it doesn’t hurt.”
“While they’re squirming.”
You clink your glasses and take another drink. Your drink goes down warm and it burns just a bit. You definitely haven’t eaten enough. But that feels like a problem for future you.
Two guys drift over after that, lingering in a way that means they’ve definitely been debating on talking to you for the last ten minutes. You sigh mentally before he even opens his mouth.
“You two look like you’re having a better night than everyone else in here.”
You give him a small, polite smile, “We’re trying.”
That should end the conversation but it doesn’t.
“What’re you drinking?” The other guy asks, leaning into Harper’s space at the bar.
She raises an eyebrow, “something we’re about to finish.”
You add, a bit gentler, “We’re good guys… thanks though.”
They stay put and the first one makes a move in closer to you, “Come on.” He grins, “We’re friendly.”
“I believe you.” You say softly. “We’re still not interested.”
Harper shifts on her stool, done with how this conversation is going. She gives you a sideways look, one that you recognize instantly and you can feel your blood pressure rising. Harper slides her arm around your shoulders and leans in close. “Babyyyy, are these guys bothering us?”
You almost choke on your drink before you can pull yourself together enough to recover. “A little.” You smile and settle your hand at her waist. “On our special night too.”
She gasps quietly, “On our anniversary no less.”
The guys blink at you both, processing.
“We’re together.” Harper clarifies, her voice almost mocking in a way that only you notice. “like, together together.”
You just nod slowly. “Mhm. Very taken. Very gay. Very tired.”
Then the embarrassment starts to catch up with them. “Oh.”
Harper grins cheerfully, “Yep!”
They finally retreat from you with awkward little nods and a muttered apology. The second they’re out of ear shot, Harper drops her head onto your shoulder and laughs.
You order another round you both probably didn’t need and Harper starts telling a story about a client who brought his mother in to approve the design he was getting when your phone buzzes with a text from Mac.
You still good? Use real words.
You grin at the screen, texting back a brief overview of the incident that had just taken place— but that you’re good and you’ll be ready soon. Three seconds later you get one text and then another.
Outside in ten.
Frank’s with me.
You show Harper the texts and she perks up like a cat hearing a tuna can open.
“My ride comes with biceps.” She giggles softly.
“I thought you were dating him for his dazzling personality.” You roll your eyes.
“I am. His personality lives in his arms.”
Outside the air feels cool and damp from the rain. The sidewalk is shining under the streetlights. Mac’s truck is already pulled up to the curb. He and Frank are standing outside of it just talking and waiting.
He smiles when he spots you and steps forward. His hand slides around to settle on your lower back as he gives you a quick once over. “You okay?”
“Yeah.” You smile. “Was a fun night.”
That answer must satisfy him enough because he continues on, “You eat?”
You hesitate, “uh… maybe?”
He exhales through his nose and chuckles a bit, “Okay, we’re getting you food then.”
Harper launches herself at Frank as soon as she sees him. He catches her with a grunt and a laugh, his arms locking around her waist like he expects the impact any time she’s around. “Hey.” He chuckles.
“I behaved,” she responds with a grin, still slurring slightly.
He glances over at you, his arms still tight around her, “She behave?”
“That’s debatable.” You chuckle.
Frank chuckles and kisses her head, “Heard you two had to fake date in there.”
Harper reaches across the gap between you and grabs your hand. “We’re in love now. New shop policy.”
Frank laughs, “Honestly? Little hot.” He jokes.
Mac rolls his eyes and opens the front passenger door to help you in. When you sit he leans in just enough to kiss you. And then he steps back so Harper and Frank can pile into the back. Mac climbs into the drivers side, starting up the engine and pulling off into the traffic. His hand settles on your thigh.
From the back seat, Frank pops up and says with a grin, “If you two ever need to pretend to date again, call me.”
Harper says, “Next time we’re gonna pretend to be married.”
Mac sighs and leans back, settling into his seat. “I’m never letting either of you out unsupervised again.”
Hello, I hope you are well. Thank you so much for writing the ice cream request. I had another idea. Maybe you could write about any misadventures the Warfare men encounter leading up to and/or on the day of their wedding. Maybe there could be a miscommunication about wanting to get married (one thinks the other has changed their mind, but they figure it out), one guy comforts his girl over the stress of planning a wedding, there could be jealousy from both sides about bachelor/Bachelorette parties (they could decide to have one shared party), proposal gone wrong/right, misplaced rings, rainy day weddings, elopement, etc. (Take your pick - Happy endings, please & thank you) 😊

a/n: i’m so sorry that i’m finally posting this after it’s been sitting in my drafts for the past seven months. i hope you still enjoy it! also i don’t own any of the pictures in the moodboard below. all credits go to the original creators/owners! yes, i know that the batman movie didn't come out until 2022, but let's just ignore that for the time being. and as always, a huge thank you to @auroralightsthesky for proof reading this for me!
Erik: It was a very warm late summer night in San Diego. You and Erik couldn't sleep because of that. So, that’s why you two were awake in bed. Erik was lying on his back while you were lying between his thighs with your head placed in the middle of his bare chest. Erik was gently rubbing his hand up and down your back too.
“Where do you see yourself in five years, baby?” you randomly decided to ask your boyfriend. You were curious about that. You wanted to know where he sees himself in five years.
“Oh wow,” Erik exhaled. “Well…most likely still be enlisted in the Navy, and probably having the rank of Lower Half Rear Admiral by that time, and possibly be married to you,” he smiled when he said the last part.
When Erik said that last part, it took you by surprise. You and Erik haven’t talked about marriage or your guys’ future together as a couple. Erik could immediately sense that your body language shifted on top of him.
He tilted his chin down at you, “Are you okay, baby?” he asked. “Was it something I said?” Erik was concerned. He was hoping that you weren’t upset that he mentioned that he sees himself being married to you in the next five years.
You lifted yourself from Erik’s chest and sat up between his thighs. “You wanna marry me?” You pointed your finger at yourself. Tears started to form in your eyes. The whole thing started to get you emotional.
“Of course,” Erik nodded. Erik sat up and leaned back against the headboard. “Why wouldn't I?” he asked.
You just shrugged your shoulders, “I don’t know,” you mumbled. You looked down at your lap and started fiddling with the leftover nail polish that was on your fingers. Your past boyfriend never mentioned anything about marriage or wanting to marry you, so what Erik said made you feel what you were currently feeling at the moment.
“Hey! Look at me,” Erik said as he reached out and placed both hands on each side of your cheeks. You stopped what you were doing and looked at him. “For the past two years, I have been thinking about marrying you,” Erik said. “I’m so sorry that I have never brought it up to you though. I take full responsibility for that.”
“It’s okay, baby. I promise,” you reassured him. “I’m not mad or upset that you never brought up earlier in our relationship,” you stated. “It just took me by surprise when you said that, that’s all.”
Erik didn't say anything back. He leaned in and planted a kiss on your lips. The kiss was him basically telling you that he isn't going anywhere and that he totally means it when it comes to wanting to marry you one day. He can’t wait for that exact day to come. You can’t either now.
Ray: Ray was finally planning to propose to you. For the past few months though, he was going back and forth about whether he should or not. He was having second thoughts about the whole thing. He started getting into his head and was thinking that you wouldn't want to marry him, but then Ray just had to remind himself that you wanted to marry him. You have mentioned it to him many times before. So, he just has to pick the perfect engagement ring now.
Ray was in the lounge room on base with a few notebooks and printed out articles about engagement rings and proposals surrounding him. He wanted this whole thing to be perfect. He wanted it to be something that you’ll never forget. Unfortunately, Ray was struggling. He wasn't sure where to start.
“This proposal is going to be the death of me,” Ray groaned as he ran his hands over his face. When Ray said that, he ended up saying it a little too loudly, because Sam and Frank walked into the lounge room and the two of them ended up hearing what Ray said.
“No way, you’re proposing?” Sam asked him. Sam was shocked by the fact that Ray was planning to do that.
“Holy shit,” Frank said after. Just like Sam, he was shocked too. He can’t believe that Ray was planning to propose.
“Well,” Ray sighed. “Yes, if only I could figure out how the heck to propose to Y/N.”
“It’s simple,” Sam started to say as he and Frank approached the table that Ray was sitting at in the lounge room. “You just get on one knee and ask her if she wants to marry you,” Sam finished his sentence.
What Sam said, earned him a smack on the back of his head from Frank.
“Ow,” he griped. “What was that for?”
Ray and Frank both just looked at him with an annoyed look.
“Really?” Ray scolded him.
Sam threw his hands up to surrender, “I’m just joking,” he said. “I promise,” he reassured Ray. “Plus, that would be a lame move if you did something like that,” he added.
“Trust me, I won't," Ray promised. “Y/N will have my ass if I ever pull a stunt like that.”
“Well, start easy,” Frank decided to speak up. “Has Y/N ever talked about what kind of ring she would like to be proposed to with one day?” he asked Ray. Frank then pulled out a chair, across from Ray, and sat down. Sam shortly after did the same thing too. The two of them knew that they were gonna be in this situation for a while. So, might as well, take a seat and help Ray with the proposal.
“As I can recall, she has in the past,” Ray answered Frank.
“Perfect,” Frank exclaimed. “What kind of ring would that be then?”
Ray looked at one of the magazine catalogs about different engagement rings that he had secretly saved. “Y/N has talked about these two different engagement rings all the time,” Ray informed Frank and Sam. Ray slid the magazine across the table to them. The two of them took a good look at both rings. One ring had a rose gold band with an oval-shaped diamond. While the other one also had a rose gold band with a circular diamond instead of an oval one. Out of all engagement rings those two have been the ones that you have always brought up to Ray.
“Oh! Those look pretty nice,” Sam exclaimed. “Y/N got some good taste,” Sam complimented the rings after.
“Those are,” Frank agreed with Sam. “The second one looks identical to the engagement ring that I proposed to Vanessa with, a few months ago,” Frank commented. Frank then slid the magazine across the table, back to Ray.
“Thanks,” Ray said to the two of them.
“Now, you just have to figure out which one sticks out to you the most,” Sam was the one who commented. “Is it the first one or the second one?”
Ray sighed. Both of them stick out to him, but he can’t propose to you with two rings. That would just be very odd to do. “Technically both of them stick out to me,” Ray shrugged his shoulders.
“Well, how about this,” Sam paused for a quick second. “Which ring can you picture more on Y/N’s finger?” Sam asked. “Maybe that can help you make a final decision on which ring to get for the proposal."
Ray closed his eyes. He started to picture both rings in his mind. He started to picture which ring would suit your ring finger. He even started to picture which ring would suit your personality better. As odd as that might sound, he knows picturing that will most likely help him in the end.
“The circular diamond ring,” Ray announced when he opened his eyes back up. After picturing it in his head, the circular-shaped ring fits you more than the oval-shaped diamond ring. Now that Ray has pictured it in his head, he can see himself proposing to you with that ring instead.
“Are you sure?” Sam asked to double-check with him.
“Yes, I’m sure,” Ray nodded his head. He was one hundred percent sure.
“Okay then,” Sam clapped his hands together. “It’s official…you’re proposing to Y/N,” Sam cheered.
“Yes, I am,” Ray said with a big grin on his face.
Ray needed to figure out a location where he could propose to you, but he knows that he can wait another day or so. The hard part was finally out of the way, and that was finding the perfect engagement ring. He can relax about that now. He’s even glad that two of his teammates/friends were able to help him with the whole situation.
Elliott: It was the end of your and Elliott’s wedding. The wedding went well. All of your friends and family showed up. All of Elliott's friends and family showed up too. You two couldn't ask for a better wedding ceremony, but you were glad that it was over. All of your guests have left for the night, so you two were the only ones left in the reception room. You two were having your last dance since everyone had left. The song that you decided to dance to for the last dance was It Had To Be You by Frank Sinatra.
Elliott was swaying you back and forth. You were lying your head on his chest. You two were just enjoying each other’s company. You two were loving the moment. You loved the privacy that you two were savoring. It felt peaceful to you both.
“I love you so much,” you spoke up. You slightly pushed your head off of Elliott's chest, so you can look at him.
“I love you too,” Elliott smiled. He leaned down and kissed your lips. “I’m lucky to call you my wife,” he said as he pulled away from your lips.
“And I’m lucky that I can call you my husband,” you smiled.
You and Elliott danced the night away. You two can’t wait to wake up tomorrow morning as a married couple. You both can't wait to see what the future has in store for you as a married couple.
Frank: You would never have imagined that it would be so overwhelming to plan your and Frank’s wedding, but here you are. In the dining room of your shared home with notebooks and a planner around you trying to plan out where the ceremony should be held. You were stressed out because of that. You were on the verge of tears. You just wanted Frank to be home with dinner already, so that he could comfort you. It felt like someone answered your silent prayers though, because Frank walked into your shared house with dinner.
When Frank walked into the dining room, he saw you sitting at the table. He immediately noticed that you looked upset. “Hey. What’s wrong?” he asked as he set the food down on the table and pulled out the chair right next to you. “Talk to me.” Frank hated to see you upset about anything. It always broke his heart when you were.
The moment he asked you that, that’s when the floodgates opened. You just started crying.
“Hey. Come here,” Frank opened his arms for you.
You got up from the chair and sat down in his lap and he embraced you in a hug. You put your head in the crook of his neck and started crying even more.
“It’s okay. I’m right here,” Frank reassured you.
“I thought planning a wedding wouldn’t be so hard,” you sniffled. You took your head out of the crook of Frank’s neck and sat up in his lap, so that you could see his face better. “But I was wrong,” you added. “Honestly, I thought I would know what I’m doing when it comes to planning our wedding since I’m that person who can be so good when it comes to planning stuff, but obviously not,” you ranted to Frank. “I’m at the point where I just wear a nice simple dress and you wear your summer whites and we go to the courthouse and elope.”
“No, we aren’t doing that,” Frank responded to the last part of what you said. “You have always mentioned to me that ever since you were a little girl, you have always wanted to get married and have a beautiful wedding, and now that’s happening. So, how about we get in contact with a wedding planner and go from there? Okay?” Frank nodded his head. He saw a tear fall down his cheek and immediately wiped it away with his thumb.
“Okay,” you nodded your head. “You promise?”
“Yes, I promise,” Frank said. “For now, let’s just set everything to the side and eat and watch a movie for the rest of the night. Does that sound like a plan?” Frank asked.
“Yes,” you nodded. “Can I pick the movie though?”
“Of course,” Frank smiled.
“The Batman, it is,” you exclaimed.
“Why that doesn’t surprise me?”
“Hey! Don’t judge. It’s not my fault that the movie is so good and amazing to watch,” you defended.
“No judgment here, baby. We can go ahead and watch it.”
“Perfect,” you smiled.
You got off of Frank’s lap, and then afterwards, Frank got up. You grabbed the bag that had your food in it and headed to the couch. Frank went ahead and turned the TV on. When you both sat down, you opened up the bag and handed Frank’s meal and took yours out.
“Are you going to repeat the lines of the opening scene when it comes on?” Frank asked you as he grabbed his food from your hands.
“Is that even a question?” you asked.
“Yeah, why did I even ask?” Frank said jokingly.
“Because you love me and you love it when I repeat the lines,” you smiled.
“That is very true.”
When the movie started to play, you grabbed your food and leaned into the side of Frank, and started eating. The moment that you did that, it felt like your emotions on the wedding planning situation just went away. You felt more at ease being in the presence of your fiancé, whom you loved. You loved that being around him made your troubles just go away and be forgotten. You were happy that you found someone like that. You were lucky to call Frank your fiancé. The same thing goes for him. He was lucky to call you his fiancée.
Sam: It was the day of your and Sam’s wedding. Both of you were so happy that the day had finally arrived. Sam was in his suite, talking to Elliott and Frank. They were waiting until it was officially time for the wedding to start. While all three were talking, Ray walked through the door. He looked like he had just run a marathon.
“Ray, are you alright? Why do you look like you just ran a marathon?” Elliott asked him.
“We have a situation,” Ray said as he was trying to catch his breath.
Sam's heart dropped. The last thing Sam wanted on the day of his wedding was a situation, especially a bad one.
“What is it?” Sam asked nervously.
Ray sighed, “The rings are messing.”
Sam, Elliott, and Frank all just looked at each other with shocking looks on their faces. Sam couldn’t believe what Ray just told him.
“What do you mean they’re missing, Ray?” Sam panicked.
“They’re missing,” he repeated. “I can’t find them anywhere.”
“Well, where's the last place you put them?” Elliott spoke.
“Well, I could have sworn that I left them in my hotel room on the small table, but when I checked this morning. The rings weren’t there,” Ray explained. “They couldn’t just have disappeared into thin air
“Well, we have to find them since Sam’s wedding starts in less than ten minutes,” Frank notified.
“Where should we even look for the rings?” Elliott asked Frank.
“Well, I’ll go back to my fiancé and I’s hotel room and see if the rings somehow ended up there,” He said. “And you,” as he pointed to Elliott. “Go back to you and your wife’s hotel room and check if you two somehow ended up with the rings.”
“What about me?” Ray asked.
“Just stay with Sam. Elliott and I will figure this whole mess out,” Frank promised.
Elliott and Frank both went back to their hotel rooms to see if one of them had the rings. The two of them were hoping that they could have the rings. When the two of them got back to their hotel rooms, they looked everywhere in their rooms. They looked in every dresser drawer, under the bed, and in the bathroom. Neither of them could find the rings. They both started to panic. If they show up empty-handed, then Sam’s going to panic even more. They need to find the rings before the wedding officially starts.
“Any luck?” Elliott asked Frank when he met him in the hall after searching his hotel room for the rings.
“No,” he scoffed. “I looked everywhere in my hotel room and didn’t find them.”
“Well, we have to tell him then,” Elliott stated.
Frank sighed, “Let’s go tell him then.”
As Elliott and Frank were walking down the hallway, Elliott’s wife, Lilah turned the corner up ahead and she made eye contact with Elliott and Frank. Elliott was wondering why Lilah wasn’t with Y/N and the other bridesmaids and why she was walking down the same hallway as him.
“Lilah? What are you doing here?” Elliott asked when he approached her.
“I’m looking for you,” she explained. “I have the rings to give to you.”
Elliott and Frank could both feel the weight lifted off of them. They were glad that the rings weren’t missing. They were just misplaced somehow.
“How did you end up with the rings? I thought Ray had them?” Elliott asked.
“Well, he did,” Lilah nodded. “But then last night at the last minute, Vanessa told Ray to give the rings to Maria to keep in her and Frank’s room,” she explained. “I don’t know why she decided to do that, but here,” she said as she handed the rings over to Elliott. “I have to go back now before Y/N starts wondering why I have been so long.”
Elliott and Frank were quite confused about the ring situation, but they were glad that once they got back to Sam. They could let him know that they had the rings. He will be relieved that the rings didn’t get lost.
“Did you find them?” Sam asked when Elliott and Frank walked back into his suite.
“Yes, we did,” Frank answered. “Elliott and I ran into Lilah, and she had them instead. She even told us that Vanessa told Ray to give the rings to Maria, so then she could keep them in her and I’s room,” Frank explained. “Also Lilah even mentioned that she doesn’t know why Vnaessa decided to do that in the first place, but that doesn't matter anymore, because we have the rings,” he said.
“Well, let’s get this wedding started then,” Sam cheered. Granted, the whole misplacement of the rings, Sam was glad that they were found. He was glad that his wedding could start now. He was glad that he didn't have to explain to you, or to anyone in the crowd that the rings got lost somehow.
Tommy: Earlier in the day, you finally received the email from your best friend, Madison, that contained your and Tommy’s engagement pictures that she took for you. You and Tommy took your engagement pictures at Terrana Resort which is located in Palos Verdes. It was such a beautiful location. Granted, it was two hours away from San Diego. It was still worth the drive to go there to take your engagement pictures.
Tommy was finally home from work. You were glad about that since you wanted to look at the engagement pictures together. Also, you wanted to see what picture you two could use for your engagement announcement since the two of you want to send them out to your loved ones as soon as you can.
“Have you received our engagement pictures from your cousin yet?” Tommy asked as he walked out of your shared bathroom. The moment Tommy came home from work, he didn’t waste a minute and immediately got into the shower. He spent the whole day in the heat, so he didn’t want to get into bed being all hot and sweaty from earlier today.
“Yes, I did,” you cheered. “I received them while you were gone at work today.”
“Have you looked at them yet?” Tommy asked when he got into his side of the bed.
“No,” you shook your head. “I was waiting for you to come home from work so that we could look at them together.”
“Well, I’m home now,” Tommy said. “Let’s look at them.”
You opened up your laptop and clicked on the folder that your cousin sent over which had all of the engagement pictures that she took for you and Tommy. When you opened the folder, you saw that there were so many pictures. There must have been over fifty pictures. All of the pictures weren’t the same though. You and Tommy took some pictures on the shoreline, then some in the garden that is on the resort’s property, then some of you and Tommy holding hands standing on a cliff looking out to the ocean. Then some of you and Tommy were standing in front of the water fountain that was located on the property.
You went ahead and clicked on the first picture. The picture ended up being one of the ones that you and Tommy took on the shoreline. You loved how you both looked in the picture. You liked how the lighting looked in the picture. There was something so perfect about that picture. You won’t be surprised if you and Tommy end up choosing that picture for your engagement announcement cards.
“That picture came out looking pretty good,” Tommy exclaimed.
“Yeah, it did,’ you agreed with him.
The next picture you clicked on was one of the pictures you took in front of the water fountain. In the picture, Tommy was spinning you in a circle. You two had the biggest smiles on your faces. You also loved the way you and Tommy were looking at each other in the picture. The looks were filled with the love that you two have for each other.
You and Tommy continued to look through all of the pictures. You and Tommy have been loving all of them. If you could, you would use all of them for your engagement announcement, but you couldn’t. You’re going to have to choose just one for it.
“Here’s the very last one,” you said as you clicked on the last picture. The last picture was you and Tommy walking through the garden, holding hands, and smiling at each other.
“I think that’s the picture we should use,” Tommy suggested as he turned his attention away from your laptop screen and to you instead. “For some reason that picture stands out to me the most.”
“Yeah?” you nodded with a smile on your face.
“Yeah,” Tommy nodded.
“Okay. I’ll go ahead and start creating the engagement cards and have them get printed out, so then we can start sending them out to people we know.”
“That can wait until tomorrow morning. How about I show you how much I love you and how grateful that I call you my fiancée for the rest of the night instead?” Tommy smirked as he closed your laptop for you and placed it on the nightstand that was on his side of the bed.
“Yeah,” you nodded your head. “Let’s go with that instead.”

a/n: a huge thank you to @auroralightsthesky for proof reading this for me! and allowing me yap about this fic to her! also the moodboard is just for aesthetic purposes. also, i kept on listening to the morning by the weeknd on repeat while i was writing this, and it helped me so much to stay motivated to finish this fic so quickly!🙂↕️
You have been in San Diego for the past few days visiting Frank. You and Frank were a long-distance relationship couple. You two have been doing long distance for around a year and a half now. So, when you can, you either visit him or he will drive up to Seal Beach where you live, and visit you. This time you decided to take the drive and visit him. So far, during your visit, you have visited Old Town San Diego, Seaport Village, La Jolla Cliffs, and so on.
For tonight though, you and Frank just decided to stay in bed and order dinner and watch a movie. Frank allowed you to pick the movie for you both to watch. You went ahead and decided to watch “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” Frank has watched the movie with you before, but it’s been a while since that happened.
“I have missed this,” Frank spoke up.
“I have too,” you smiled up at him. You were cuddled up on the side of his body. Your arms wrapped around his waist. “I hate doing long distance,” you pouted.
“I know, baby. I do too,” Frank said as he planted a kiss on your lips. When Frank kissed you, you craved more from him. You wanted to feel his touch. Most likely, you felt like that because you haven’t seen each other in five months.
Something in you made you move from your spot next to Frank and straddle his lap instead. You kissed Frank again. He kissed you back. Neither of you was paying attention to the movie now. Frank’s hands found themselves on your ass.
“I need you,” you said between kisses.
Frank smiled against your lips. He pulled back from you kissing him. “I do, too,” he said.
Frank moved his hands from your ass and grabbed the hem of your shirt. He pulled it off your body and tossed it to the side. Frank pulled you a lot closer to his chest. He wanted to feel your bare chest against his. Frank went ahead and went back to kissing you. He made his way down to the nape of your neck. Frank knew how much you loved to be kissed in that area. It’s one of your many weak spots.
“That feels so good,” you whined. You could feel Frank's smile against your neck. You knew that he loved hearing that. He loves how much you come undone by his kisses or his touches. Also, you could start feeling a wet spot form in your underwear.
“Frank,” you started to breathe heavily.
“What, baby?” he asked as he stopped kissing your neck and looked at you.
“I need you now,” you repeated. You wanted him inside of you. You were so eager about it. Frank didn’t mind it though. He was eager too. Being apart for five months made both of your sex drives so much higher than usual. “But I wanna try something different though.”
“What is it, baby?” Frank asked you as he put all of his focus on you.
“I wanna try and ride you. Can you guide me through it?” you asked softly.
“Of course,” Frank nodded his head.
You just nodded your head, lifted your hips, and took off your underwear. Frank went ahead and slid his boxers off. When he did, you could see that he was already hard and leaking precum from the tip. You have seen Frank's cock before, but not in this situation. It felt like you were seeing it for the first time. It probably felt like that since you have never been the one in control when it comes to the bedroom. It was always Frank.
“Now, go ahead and sit on it,” Frank guided you to sit on his cock. Frank could sense your nerves starting to get to you. “I’m right here. Okay?” Frank reassured you.
“Okay,” you gave your boyfriend a light smile. You went ahead and sank onto Frank. You could feel your walls clench around him when you did.
“Oh shit, baby. You feel so fucking good around me,” Frank moaned.
“Now what?” you asked as you got situated.
There was something so innocent that Frank loved about you asking questions about what to do next. Frank then placed both of his hands on each side of your waist. “Okay, I’m going to leave my hands here and you can just start going up and down slowly. Okay?”
“Okay,” you nodded your head.
You started doing slow up and down movements on Frank’s cock. The feeling felt a little different to you. You knew that over time you would get used to the feeling though, as you continue moving up and down slowly on Frank’s cock. Frank went ahead and started placing kisses between your breasts. His lips then made their way to your right breast. He just started sucking it. You knew that you were going to have a mark now because of him, but you couldn't care less.
After Frank left a mark there, he went back to putting all of his focus on you. “Are you doing all right?” he asked you.
“Yeah,” you nodded your head. “But I think I wanna pick up the pace. Is that okay?”
Frank removed his hands from your waist and placed them on both sides of your cheeks, “That’s totally okay with me. As long as you are comfortable with doing that, that's all that matters.”
After Frank said that to you, you went ahead and picked up the pace a little bit. You didn’t want to go too fast since you didn’t want to tire yourself out by doing that. You just wanted to go at a steady pace.
“Just like that, baby,” Frank praised you. “You’re doing so well,” he threw his head back against the headboard. Something about Frank just becoming undone under you was attractive. You loved the look of pleasure he had on his face. As you continued riding Frank more at a steady pace. You could start feeling the knot forming in your stomach. You knew that sooner or later that you were going to cum.
“Frank, I’m super close,” you said between heavy breaths as you continued riding him.
“I am too,” Frank said.
Not too long after, you felt the knot in your stomach snap and you reached your orgasm. You collapsed against Frank’s chest. Shortly after, Frank reached his orgasm too. You two were catching your breaths. Frank started to smoothly run his hand up and down your back as you two did. Frank was still inside you too. You didn’t want to move, but you knew that you should get up, so you could clean both of you up.
“I should get up, so that I can clean us both up,” you spoke up after your breathing went back to normal.
“No. Let me,” Frank objected.
You pushed off his chest, “But-.”
“No, buts,” Frank stated. “Yes, I know that even though you were the one who took charge tonight, and want to take care of me. I wanna do the same and take care of you since it was the first time doing it,” Frank explained. “So, let me clean us up. Okay?”
“Okay,” you nodded your head.
You got off Frank. Frank got up from his spot and went to his bathroom. Frank came back with a damp washcloth. He cleaned you up first, then himself. Afterwards, Frank went to his drawer and quickly slipped on a new pair of underwear. He then grabbed a pair of your underwear for you. He walked back over to the bed and helped you put them on.
“Can I wear your shirt instead of my pajama top?” you asked after Frank helped you put your underwear on.
“Yeah, of course,” Frank said softly.
Frank grabbed his black shirt from the edge of his bed. He wore it earlier in the day, but ended up taking it off right after the two of you got into bed. Frank helped you put on his shirt. Afterwards, you both got under the covers.
“Is there anything you need?” Frank asked you.
“Can we start the move over since we ended up getting distracted?” you asked as you lay your head on his chest.
“Of course, we can,” Frank said.
Frank restarted the movie from the beginning and for the rest of the night, you watched it. You couldn’t ask for a better night than this.

You and Frank were heading out to go to Erik and his wife, Sarah’s house for a get-together. Frank and the rest of the guys from his unit have all decided to have this get-together since it’s been a while since all of them got to hang out and just relax. Plus, all of them didn’t have to work during the weekend, so of course, it was the perfect time to do one.
When you and Frank arrived at Erik's and Sarah’s house which was on base. You saw there were quite a few cars parked in front of their base already, Most likely, the other guys from the unit have already shown up. Frank turned off his car after he found a place to park and the two of you got out. After you got out, you headed to the back of his car and opened the trunk to get the plate of cookies that you had made. Granted, it wasn't a potluck since Frank did mention to you that Erik and Sarah were catering food for this get-together, but still. You still wanted to show up with something. Frank closed the trunk door for you and then locked his car.
You and Frank saw that the side gate was open when you two reached Erik and Sarah’s house, so you two entered that way instead. When you entered the backyard, you saw Erik, Sarah, Tommy, his girlfriend, Lilah, Elliott, and his wife, Angela were all hanging out and talking among themselves. Sarah must have somehow heard you though when you and Frank entered the backyard, because she stopped mid-conversation with Erik, and greeted you both.
“It’s so nice seeing you two again,” she smiled as she embraced you into a hug, then Frank into a hug.
‘You two,” you smiled at Sarah after you pulled away from the hug. “I know you and Erik said that we didn’t bring anything since food was getting catered, but I just couldn’t help myself, and decided to make cookies,” you mentioned.
“Oh! That’s completely fine,” She reassured you. She took the tray from your hands. “Are they your famous homemade cookies?” she asked you.
“Yes, they are.”
“Yay!” Sarah exclaimed.
Sarah walked off and went to place the cookies in the kitchen. You and Frank made yourselves comfortable at the get-together. Luckily, you two have been over to Erik and Sarah’s house many times, so their home was basically your home in a way.
———
You were sitting at the table, talking to Lilah, Angela, and Ray’s girlfriend, Melissa. Ray and Melissa showed up to the get-together not long after you and Frank showed up. All of you were updating each other about your lives. You were telling them about how you’re done with work for the rest of the year due to the IndyCar season officially being over until next spring. When all of a sudden, Angela interrupted you mid-sentence.
“Who’s that girl talking to Frank?” She asked. “I don’t think I have ever seen her before.”
“I think that’s Carissa's friend, Jasmine,” Lilah answered. Carissa was Brock’s fiancée. “I don’t know much about her though, she said. “But she seems like she’s acting too friendly towards your boyfriend though, Y/N,” Lilah informed you directly.
“Yeah, she definitely is,” Melissa agreed with Lilah.
When you turned your head slightly to the left to see for yourself. You did see the girl, Jasmine, talking to Frank, you couldn’t help but get a little jealous since Lilah was right about Jasmine. The way she was acting towards Frank was way too friendly, but it looked like Frank was just acting like he was interested in what she was telling him, but still. You started to get into your head though, and thought to yourself, What if he’s just doing that, because I’m in his view? And he’s actually interested in her, and he’s gonna leave me for her?
You could feel some tears start to form in your eyes now. Luckily, you were wearing sunglasses, so Lilah, Angela, and Melissa couldn’t see that you were upset. If they did notice though, you know they wouldn’t look at you sideways. They would comfort you instead. The situation had you start thinking though. You were thinking whether you should ask Frank later on about the girl, Jasmine, or just ignore the situation.
———
You and Frank were finally back at your shared home. You were actually considering asking him about Jasmine instead of ignoring it. The emotions that you were feeling due to it were really eating you up inside.
“Hey, is everything okay?” Frank asked you when he came out of your shared bathroom after taking a shower. “You have been quiet ever since we got back home.”
“Yeah,” you lied through your teeth. “I’m just tired from the get-together,” you shrugged your shoulders. “No big deal.”
“Are you sure?” Frank asked when he got into bed with you. Frank knew you way too well. He just sensed that you weren’t okay, and that something was bothering you.
When Frank asked you that, that’s when your vision started to get blurry. You could feel the tears start to form in your eyes.
“Please don’t leave me!” your voice cracked. You didn’t even answer Frank’s question. You just got straight to the point. You said what you basically were feeling ever since what you saw back at Erik and Sarah’s house.
“Why would I leave you, baby?” Frank asked. He was very concerned about why you asked him that question. That’s the last thing that Frank would ever do to you.
“Because while we were at the get-together, I saw you talking to that girl, Jasmine, and I had this impression that maybe you would leave me for her,” you cried.
“Come here,” Frank said, opening his arms up for you. Without thinking twice, you embraced yourself into his arms, He wrapped his arms around you after. “I promise that I’m not gonna leave you,” he reassured you. “Plus, Jasmine is my ex.”
“Wait,” you lifted your head from his chest. “She’s that Jasmine?” you asked Frank. You knew that Frank was in a prior relationship before you two got together. He mentioned to you that the relationship only lasted for about two and a half years though, because she told Frank that she couldn’t handle the long distance anymore, but then also Frank found out that she cheated on him too, so that’s when he was the one who decided to break things off with her. It did hurt him for quite some time though, but then eventually Frank healed from the situation.
‘Yes, that Jasmine,” Frank nodded his head. “She was at the get-together in the first place, because she’s good friends with Carissa. So, when she saw me, she couldn’t help herself but wanted to talk. Also, I didn’t want to cause any sort of a scene and ignore her, so then she could leave me alone since that wasn’t the place to do it,” he explained.
“Oh,” was the only thing that you said. “What did she say to you though?” you asked.
Frank sighed, “Well, she wanted to apologize about what she did to me even though that happened seven years ago, and she was asking what I have been up to ever since the breakup. Also, she was telling me that she moved to Oceanside recently.”
“Did you accept her apology?” you asked Frank. “Also, why did she move to Oceanside?”
“No,” Frank scoffed. “What's done is done. I understand that doing long distance isn’t for everyone, but she dared to go behind my back and cheat me too. She knew what she was doing,” Frank explained. “Also, she moved to Oceanside due to her job,” He said. “But once again, I’m not going to leave you. I’m way too in love with you to do that to you, and why would I wanna leave the girl that I’m planning to marry one day?”
You lightly smiled at the last part of what Frank said. You and Frank have talked about marriage before, so him saying that wasn’t anything new. He knew deep down that he wanted to marry you, and he can’t wait for the day when that officially happens. “I’m in love with you too,” you sniffled.

You’re sitting in Harper’s apartment, surrounded by the smell of a leftover cranberry candle she’d forgotten she’d lit and the sesame oil from the takeout containers you both had shoved into her coffee table. Outside, the wind rattles the windows just enough to be annoying— but to also keep them clear of the snow threatening to settle.
She’s sitting on the far end of the couch, one of her legs tucked under herself and the other is stretched out and thrown over your lap. She’s wearing blue sweatpants with ink stains all over them and a hoodie with more holes than you’ve ever seen. You aren’t sure how the poor thing is still holding itself together. She’s watching the tv quietly, her phone resting on the arm of the couch.
Then it buzzes. Her eyes divert from the television to look down at the tiny illuminated screen.
She smiles.
That’s your first clue something’s up. Harper isn’t one for smiling at nothing.
Then the damn thing buzzes again.
But this time, she picks it up. She swipes across the screen and unlocks it, her thumbs moving fast, her face is doing that infuriatingly subtle thing where she’s really trying her best not to smile.
You try to turn your attention to the stack of flash you’d bought at your last convention and had been trying to sort through on your lap. You flip over another sheet while she finishes typing. You wait in silence before you sigh, loudly. “So.” You try to keep it casual sounding. “Who are you texting?”
She snorts and rolls her eyes, “Bold of you to assume I’m texting anyone. You’re right here.”
“Harper.”
She sighs deep from her chest, like it’s an inconvenience to her and drops the phone onto her lap as she looks at you. “What?”
“It’s Frank.” You say flatly.
She raises an eyebrow, “Wow. Okay. Rude.”
“You didn’t even try to deny it!”
“Because I’m tired.” She shoots back at you. “And you’re annoying.”
Her phone buzzes again in her lap and you can see her cheeks begin to redden.
You tilt your head back a bit to look at her and she just sighs and drags a hand down her face. “He’s stationed on the opposite side of the country with Mac and Sam and Tommy and everyone else. This is stupid.”
“That wasn’t a no, Harp.”
She groans and tosses her head back against the armrest of the couch. “Yes. It’s Frank. Congratulations, you’re a genius and you cracked the damn code.”
You smile and lean up to set the stack of flash on the coffee table, turning your attention to her. “How long?”
“You know how long.” She huffs and then shrugs. “Since Thanksgiving… We text. When he’s not busy. Or asleep. Or doing… I dunno. Navy shit.”
“Very technical.” You chuckle softly. You know the drill.
“He lives in California.” She groans softly, “That’s basically another planet.”
Before you can respond with anything— like how you know how hard it is but it’s worth it in the long run— the door buzzer starts to go off.
You both freeze.
“I didn’t order anything.” She says immediately.
“I didn’t either.” You respond.
“If that’s him and he just… showed up, I’m jumping out the window.” She says, staring at the door with her eyes narrowed.
“It’s February. It’s freezing. You’ll die.” You roll your eyes and stand up, walking to the door as she just waves you off.
“Worth it.”
You open the door to find the mail man climbing back into his truck after having left a cardboard box sitting on the mat. It’s dusted with a bit of snow from flakes blowing around. There’s a red heart sticker slapped on a bit crooked. HARPER is written across the top in careful but blocky handwriting that looked like it was trying to be a little too nice.
You pick it up and turn back towards her. “Oh… this seems ominous” You say as you try not to laugh.
She stares at you, eyes softening just as much as your voice, “Absolutely not.”
“Oh, absolutely yes.”
You bring the box inside and set it down on the coffee table. Harper sits up a bit to peer at the tag on the side of the box, cheeks as red as that stupid heart plastered to the top. “I swear to God…” she mumbles, “if this is some sort of long distance Valentine’s—” She keeps grumbling as she starts to open the box, trailing off as she sees the contents.
Inside is a little teddy bear. It’s soft. So stupidly soft. Under the bear is a box of her favorite chocolates that she must’ve once mentioned offhand, her favorite perfume, and an envelope tucked between the treasures.
She pulls out the bear and scoffs at the entire box's contents instantly. “Nope. Don’t like that.”
“You’re hugging it,” you smile softly.
“I’m assessing the threat.”
She opens the envelope and pulls out the card, reads it, then makes a noise somewhere between a groan and a laugh and flops back down against the couch with the bear against her chest.
“Oh, I hate this,” she says.
“What does it say?”
She holds the card up again and reads it aloud in the flattest voice she can manage. “‘Happy Valentine’s Day. I know you hate this stuff, but I wanted you to have something soft to hold when I can’t be there. No pressure. Frank.’”
She stares up at the ceiling and then closes her eyes. “I’m going to fight him.”
“With what?” you ask. “Your feelings?”
She opens her eyes and presses the bear under her chin, scowling over at you. “He mailed this from California. Do you know how much effort that is.”
“That’s the point.”
She exhales through her nose. “He’s such an idiot.”
