The Most Wonderful Time of the Year: Events December 14 – 20
Happy Monday! After an unseasonably warm weekend, it’s back to the grind. (I hope you got out and enjoyed the beautiful weather like I did – complete with a hike in the Wissahickon and walk along the Schulykill River Trail). Now it’s time to face the week with a few of the best events around. Week Events December 14-17, 2015: Cheers to Climate Negotiations! Join PennEnvironment to raise a glass…

Franklin Flea Market Returns this Spring
This time it will be outdoors - and food will have a big presence. The Franklin Flea opened last November and ran for five Saturdays inside the old Strawbridge & Clothier building at 8th & Market Streets. Starting Saturday April 19th, the market will be back in a parking lot at 8th & Market for six Saturdays from 10am to 5pm each Saturday. There will be a mix of vendors selling things such as antiques, vintage clothing, and collectibles. The market’s founder, Mark Vevle, says and a couple of things are being done to incorporate more food: “One is soliciting other food vendors, and another is doing this special Franklin Stove Tent, which is basically like a little pop-up for a rotating cast of characters of exceptional Philadelphia restaurants to showcase something different and unique as far as street food goes,” Vevle explains. If all goes well, it could continue after May 24th, possibly at another location. CBS Philadelphia
