Frank and Bastien would be delightfully late to the party. It just seemed easier to jump straight into the party if everyone was already at the bar, so he would give the time as a bit earlier than he and Bas were planning on showing up. He asked Delta for one of the fay guys to stand outside and be the bouncer with a list of people allowed inside, no strangers, no stragglers. No one was going to ruin this for Bastien. Hugo and Victor were on the list, as well as Laverne - the only female name on there, apart from the strippers which weren’t going to show up until things were a bit more ... livened up.
The ‘leprechaun’ was working the bar, getting drinks, putting out dishes of chips and peanuts and all that though Frank didn’t want anyone to be too filled up. It was going to be drunken debauchery, after all. No real food to help soak up the alcohol in people’s stomach. Just enough for if someone got the munchies, there it was.
Music playing through the jukebox, people free to make requests, beer in abundance. People shouldn’t be bored before the groom and the best man got there.
Clopin was going to be there, full on Reaper. Black, black, black. Feeling like a kind of cat burglar but he was here to get his drink on. Iain too, though he didn’t feel like he knew Bastien all too well. He was looking forward to taking the chance though. Had his parents on babysitting duty again, but he was pumped up and ready to stay out all night. First bachelor party. It was gonna be one for the books.
Frank finished getting dressed for the occasion. Super casual. His usual darkness. Fresh shaved face. He was reluctant to leave Delta with all that was going on but it was for Hunch.
And she was on the list, so she could come by if she got lonely.
Before leaving, he’d pick her up off the ground like a child, hands under arm pits, liffter-oo and gave her a kiss before throwing her down on the bed with a chuckle. “Don’t wait up.”
He told Bastien to meet him at the car. He got there first. Got in. Pressed the lighter out of habit more than anything, even if he had no one to burn him. Dangled a cigarette between his lips. And waited to see what would happen first, the lighter popping out or Bastien coming out.
