The news that Frank Skellington was sitting on a bike rack outside of the school, smoking on the grounds, spread pretty quickly. It was soon in every hallway. Each classroom. Who could he possibly be here for? There were looks towards the ‘witch’ table considering, well, witches. But even Figaro wasn’t gonna rise to any bait with rumors about that one. Frank and Delta were on the no-go zone when it came to the fun and games like that. But it had Leo sweating a little bit. Who else could it have been for, after that visit with Bastien? He’d been feeling good when he rolled up on the long board, he had a fucking great weekend. Marcie was a cocktease but she got her voyeur side out when they got Prince Charming to give him a blowie in the scullery of the castle.
So at lunch, he would just face the bullet and walk out through the front doors. He’d look over at Frank’s eyes to make sure and that nod - that nod felt like a death sentence. But then he thought - I couldn’t even do it, mate. I didn’t do nothing. So he walked on up and sat down next to Frank. Unlike when he usually made visits in public, he didn’t hand over the cigarette that was making his lungs black. He didn’t offer it. He just looked at Leo like ... out with it.
And the weekend came back. And Frank actually jumped up when he saw Maddy’s body, in her little bra and panty set, looking so willing - was just about to reach for this fucker’s neck and thinking of throwing Maddy to Delta - then he saw the lack of scars. He picked up on the rest. What in the fuck?
Magic.
It was all magic.
None of it was real.
He got Leo to go through the memories slower in his mind. All visual. Not hide a damn thing. Okay, fast forward the Lizzie McGuire, he didn’t give a shit about that, but -
“Go straight home after school, stay there.” He grunted. “You’re a sick fucking puppy, Ronno.”
And would give him a shove so the meathead fell backwards against the grass, groaning in pain.
This wasn’t a text message conversation. This was him driving back home, going straight to Delta and relating it all first. The two-headed dragon needed to know everything before they went and told Bastien. He shared all that he had to give. The oh-so-sickly-touching speech before they left that video. Even the push at the end. She could decide whether to come down with him or not but he was going to deliver the news in person.
Down the stairs. Interrupt whatever the couple had going on. Nothing too intimate. He’d motion for Bastien to follow him to a more private, dark spot.
“Show - or tell?”
