For years now, I have had a passion for song writing. It has been something I cultivated and crafted in private, and only recently have I started allowing those closest to me hear my songs. A few days ago, while discussing my love for songwriting, I was challenged to just go for it: enter contests, play my music, take time to really dig and write. I stumbled upon this song writing contest, and decided to enter. I feel like I am opening up my heart, putting it on display for you all to hear, but I know that if I never take the step and just go for it, I will never know if this is something I truly want to pursue.
