the healer vs healer pvp is crazy for this quiet lizard 😭

To be fair, Fray's threat to use the Dark Knight soul crystal is more bark than bite. He wanted to scare off Saran from proceeding any further in his journey to become a DRK because Fray didn't want to see another person die because they followed a path they didn't believe in or couldn't handle, or that they followed to please someone else (like Lucient...). Especially since Sarantuya was almost bodysnatched herself by her own darkside, almost losing herself in the process. He just can't bear the thought of someone he cares about dying because he didn't speak out again...

While Edda was genuinely gonna do it. She'll fuckin kill a WoL. She was gonna hand over Saran's body to voidsent Avere to get him back to something resembling a human. Sucks to be Fray but she's built different.

fray considering "little bastard" as a term of endearment (actually, anyone he describes as "little" is someone he holds at least a little affection for), "you bastard" as a term of respect, and just plain "bastard." (usually under his breath) as an actual insult

given his own murky origins, he has a decent base level of respect for all bastards, esp given ishgard itself doesn't give people like them any respect.

on that note: headcanoning lil Fray being jealous of Sidurgu having parents who cared and loved him, constantly asking Sidurgu for details of what they were like and what it was like in the tribe, then going back and imagining himself in Sid's place to cope w/ his own desire to be cared for.

He does ease up when it becomes clear that the constant questions make lil Sid upset from remembering their deaths, though it does take Ompagne scolding him and Sid ignoring him for him to stop. Even with his Echo, he genuinely didn't understand why Sid would be upset talking about his parents.

In Fray's mind at the time, if he still had loving parents, he'd want to talk about them all the time (same w/ friends; Sid was forced to listen to Fray yap and yearn over Lucient for YEARS). Even after knowing about the massacre, he still thought Sid would at least want to keep their memory alive.
