Audrey had been pouring herself over their finances, again. She let out a long sigh, bringing her hand up to run across her face in frustration. Two months, they'd only been married two months and things were looking difficult. It wasn’t a problem between the two of them, oh no, they were very in love. It was the money. Between their student debts, wedding costs, and daily expenses, they were way in over their heads.
“I don’t know how we’re going to do this Garrett.” Audrey mumbled, leaning back in the couch and averting her eyes from all the papers strewn across the coffee table. “The rich are rich and the poor are poor. We’re never going to get out of this hole unless we inherit a fortune or win the lottery or something.” she shook her head, glancing over at him, her lips forming a tight line.
“How did it even get this way? I mean...it’s not like we were irresponsible spenders. We don’t deserve any of this.” she continued, her voice rising as she stood up and began pacing the floor. “I’m scared of these bills. They don’t stop.”
