Introductions! We’re at a wine tasting conference (naturally) but I’m in a hurry to present so I can only greet people quickly. That’s the set up for this chat.

Thierry: Bonsoir.

Me: Bonsoir? Il est le matin pas le soir.

Thierry: Oui? Ah bonjour.

Me: Bonjour Thierry.

Me: Bonsoir Joan.

Joan: Bonsoir. À demain!

Me: Demain? Sigh oui d’accord. Bonne nuit.

Joan: Bonne nuit.
