@nowisthewinter Spiders are definitely friends. I will rescue spiders from the tub and I try to jump in and agree to handle a spider and put it outside before anyone else gets the chance to squash it if found inside with other people who are afraid of them.
But ideally in my own space I like to ignore them. I had a pretty chill one just live off the fruit flies my my recycling can in my kitchen and she was a great roommate. I will stop and admire webs when i get the chance.
That said i try to touch them as minimally as possible because they do skeeve me out on a purely physical level because they are so small and fragile and erratic. jumping spiders can be cute but the rest of them are pretty alien and creepy, but i try hard to not hold it against them.
