Just discovered the YouTube channel known as LIGHTS ARE OFF and I need everyone to know ELBERR The Self-Aware Robot Series is the most terrifying, unnerving, downright disturbing thing i have seen in months and I am enamoured. It's so twisted and i encourage everyone who's not squeamish or easily spooked to go watch it right now. Its incredibly realistic and phenomenally animated and was all done in Blender. It is a marvel, a masterpiece even, its so magnificent dude and Im gonna be stuck on this as a fixation for a while I think. I wanna draw / sketch Elberr so bad ohmygod he's so creepy I love it.
There's something so wrong about it all, some genius of a guy with the survival instincts of a pebble being manipulated by this metal mesh of machine he made. The first one had me like, shaking it was so weird. The second I was like oh this is so odd. The third one i was JAW-DROPPED. And then the trailer for the new one?? That shot of Elberr slowly approaching, zoomed in AAUGH gave me SUCH chills I cannot. And and and also the way he speaks to his inventor is so mmgghhhh like, "before you speak, remember, you are weak. It won't take much to make you shriek and I can squeeze you till you leak". Toxicity in dynamics my beloved <333 and also Elberr calls him intelligent mere 15 seconds later like OUGH y'all are so not healthy in ANY way and I adore it. "Your life is no longer something you own. You now exist to build me my throne". Some comments were like saying this was a cute father/son dynamic and I just have to ask; did we watch the same thing??? Did we??? Genuinely, because this is inventor turned prisoner/creation turned warden at LEAST. Anyway I am obsessed and off to make art of my new favourite mechanical freak because I am captivated by his design!!
