I personally feel like the Pokémon company may want to keep the movies and series separate by keeping the animation as the old style in the movies. It’s probably the best way they can say “oh hey these movies add no plot extensions to the series in ANY WAY”. Either that or they’re still making a slow transition for their viewers in the case of the new sun and moon animation.

Yeah I’m not saying they should use SM’s exact style for the movie, it’s a movie based on OS and shouldn’t copy SM’s identity just cause it’s the new hot thing.  However, seeing as I do think that most of the changes for SM were conscious decisions made in order to IMPROVE the show, they should apply at least some of that for the movie, just do SOMETHING new and creative, make it stand out instead of just using the usual movie style to keep things safe.  Also I’ve said this before but I’ve never really liked the movies style wise anyway (post OS at least, just something about them bug me, especially Ash’s face), so I was already hoping for a change. xD Alas. (I realize we’ve only seen one trailer and I could easily get prove wrong later, but the trailer matches the usual movie style perfectly so I think it’s a pretty safe assumption that they’re going for just that).

Thanks, sweetie <3 and to be honest, I'm not even sure if I'll end up with a girl, so that sort of makes me afraid to even mention it to my mom cause I'm hoping I'll end up with a guy and I can sweep the whole being gay thing under the rug. But I do want her to accept me for who I am so I want to tell her anyways. Thanks again, and you stay strong, too!
