⊗ - to restrain my muse to stop them from hurting others/themselves Resh'to and Kadi
Kadirayv sways heavily in his chair, one hand dangling at his side. His other arm rests on the table, clutching an empty bottle. He stares around the basement of Bastille, not registering what his empty eyes see. The Au Ra had stumbled home after dark after a long day of training. Recently, he’d been throwing himself into his work: traveling around Eorzea for recruits, checking in on the Brume, and all of his free time went to training. At night he would return home, drink as much ale as he could hold, and pass out. Then he’d wake up and do the same thing all over again. The ruby-skinned bard shakes his head wryly, scoffing at himself as he recounts his routine in his mind.. Suddenly, he chucks the empty bottle at the wall. Glass and droplets of ale fly everywhere and his fist hits the table in frustration. Angrily, the Auri man stands up, knocking his chair to the floor. Kadirayv stumbles to the counter, his gray eyes glazing over with sadness and anger, the booze not helping his sight. He gropes around trying to find the way /behind/ the counter, not hearing the footsteps coming to investigate the noise. Just as he found the opening, Kadirayv found himself facing Resh’to. The small cat had a horrified look on his face. He had never seen Kadirayv like this. The Au Ra leaning hungrily on the counter, chest heaving, eyes dead. His whole body shook from how much alcohol he had ingested. His hair was greasy with sweat and his shoulders were hunched, tail hanging low and motionless. Kadirayv set his unstable gaze upon his friend.
“Move,” he growls, insistent on getting another drink, though he was clearly well past his limit.
Resh’to shakes the fearful expression off his face and crosses his arms, though his shaking tail betrayed his feelings. The smaller cat looks bravely into Kadirayv’s eyes, setting his jaw and planting his feet. “No, Kadi. You’re done for the night.”
Though his voice shook a little, Resh’to stood firm. Kadirayv lifts an eyebrow at him. “Brave,” he mutters. The tall man straightens up as best he could and whips around, almost falling over in the process. He flicks his spiked tail, but still heads towards the stairs. He’d listen to his cute friend, only cause deep down, he knew Shto was right.
