I had a headcannon that it is Redbeard who choose the nettle leaf on Nettle’s hat, instead of a nettle flower. And we know how rebelious (and rouge) Redbeard is so it would make sense that he broke the rules.

So I draw this 1-layer of this-anything-but-a-masterpiece-of-a-comic of Redbeard putting a nettle leaf on his niece’s hat and Fred (Nettle and Barnaby’s dad) pereventing him but unsucessfully lol
