Fred Henzel: For WHAT ISn’t it Worth it?*
Artist Statement: The title of this show comes from a common phrase, which I altered and added on to intuitively. The same process goes for my paintings. I usually start with an idea, but the idea changes as the physical reality of painting alters my course. I allow the paint to take over. I'm interested in how these altered ideas can have things in common with the traditional subject matter of art. I seek to find these similarities and emphasize them, in order to place myself in the larger context of the continuity of human identity.
