a  grin  spreads  across  fred's  face  as  they  play  with  their  new  little  dragon  friends,  having  already  placed  bets  with  a  few  people  about  random  things  and  commandeered  a  couple  extra,  the  three  dragons  nudging  each  other  and  tussling  playfully,  with  fred  egging  them  on.   “  i  won't  lie,  i  really  want  to  go  for  a  dip  in  the  lake,  but  i  don't  want  to  leave  my  little  friends  here,  ”   he  laments  to  the  nearest  person,  his  gaze  shifting  towards  them  before  it's  moving  to  glance  at  the  few  people  already  wading  in  the  shallow  waters.   “  what're  the  chances  the  little  fellas  know  how  to  swim,  d’you  reckon?  ”   he  glances  over  at  them  again  with  a  lopsided  grin,  raising  an  inquisitive  eyebrow.

an  amused  smile  is  spread  across  fred’s  lips  as  they  make  their  way  to  the  refreshments  area,  picking  up  a  mug  of  butterbeer  and  downing  a  good  portion  of  it  quickly,  wanting  a  bit  of  liquid  courage  to  help  quash  their  pre-gig  jitters.  “ whattaya  think  —  is  a  jarvey  a  pet,  a  friend,  or  neither?  i’m  thinking  a  friend,  but  lisa  is  adamant  that  it’s  neither, ”  they  ask  to  the  nearest  person,  giving  a  charming  smile  as  he  raises  his  brows  in  question.

setting,  winter  lights  festival,  near  madame  puddifoot’s.   open,  for  anyone  in  aurelius !  ♡

“ i  won’t  lie,  i’m  kind  of  glad  that  the  unforgivables  aren’t  going  first  in  the  line  up, ”  fred  mentions  to  the  person  next  to  him  as  he  drums  his  fingers  against  his  wand  where  it’s  tucked  into  the  wand  pocket  fixed  into  his  clothes,  their  anxious  post-gig  energy  causing  them  to  rock  on  the  balls  of  their  feet.  they’ve  just  finished  a  cup  of  tea  from  madame  puddifoots,  but  they  have  half  a  mind  to  get  another,  just  for  something  to  do  in  the  meantime.   “ you’ll  be  watching,  won’t  you? ”  he  asks  then,  turning  his  attention  to  the  other  wix  with  a  raise  of  his  brow,  accompanying  his  words  with  a  charming  upturn  of  his  lips.

fred’s  making  his  way  through  the  hufflepuff  common  room,  after  a  fruitful  meeting  with  a  random  hufflepuff  second  year  who  offered  to  trade  one  of  his  model  dragons. a  wide  smile  spreads  across  their  face  at  the  sight  of  cedric  across  the  room,  and  they  immediately  change  their  trajectory  to  beeline  straight  for  him,  clapping  their  hands  on  his  shoulders  from  behind  when  they’re  close  enough.   “ do  you  think  it  would  be  distasteful  to  add  fudge  getting  sacked  into  one  of  our  new  songs? ”  fred  greets  with  a  mischievous  grin  as  they  plop  down  onto  the  plush  couch  next  to  him,  wrapping  an  arm  around  his  shoulders  and  giving  a  squeeze.  “ lisa  says  hi,  by  the  way, ”  they  tease,  unable  to  help  themself.

“ there’s  my  number  one  fan, ”  fred  greets  once  he’s  close  enough,  giving  zehra  an  appreciative  once-over  as  their  lips  spread  into  a  wide,  ​​lascivious  grin.  “ and  looking  better  than  a  billion  galleons…  merlin’s  beard. ”  they  give  a  shake  of  their  head,  happy  that  they  finally  caught  her  alone,  the  thought  of  approaching  her  when  she  was  with  her  date  ( despite  it  only  being  aster )  not  an  appealing  one.  “ i  was  going  to  ask  if  you’d  be  front  row  when  we  play  as  my  good  luck  charm,  but  now  i  think  everyone  might  be  too  busy  paying  attention  to  how  stunning  you  are  to  listen  to  us. ”
