RIGHT because just a few chapters back I was wondering the same thing about Ryoko. It was disappointing that she wasn't included in their shenanigans.
I really enjoy seeing this spinoff focusing on Hol Horse and Kakyoin's backgrounds. Ryoko is such an interesting character and I really wish they didn't go in that direction with her but I'm happy she got closure at least. Do souls taken by the D'Arby brothers exist outside of time and space? That's a really fascinating concept! Now I wonder if Joseph and Polnareff experienced something similar...
Hol Horse was amazing too! I love seeing his growth from his own trauma and cowardice. I've always wanted to know more about him.
But it feels like the story takes too much time on Josuke. I really love him but he has his own arcs in the entirety of DIU! We'd probably only see Hol Horse and Ryoko in this spinoff.
Like p l e a s e I want to see them do cool stuff!! Now we gotta wait another month to see if Hol Horse would be okay and-
