vans are definitely more comfortable faster, however in my personal experience converse tend to not only last longer but still be extremely comfortable if broken in properly. honestly, worth the 30 bucks as compared to the 90 they usually run. also, try the converse on before you buy (if you buy), they tend to run a little larger in the sizes
